We had a bit of trouble finding a free parking spot, but we finally found one a few blocks away (there is also a paid lot a block away). When we entered, there were tons of adorable tea items. Tea cozies, loose tea, tea pots, tea cups, tea sets, etc. Since all 3 of us love tea, we were excited. The rest of the store was divided into sections, and each section had a different seller's items. One was completely overrun and basically looked like an old person had cleaned out their attic and shoved it into the space. Across from it, the seller's area was arranged nicely and we loved the items- my mom bought a Snickerdoodle candle ($15) and I bought a bracelet for $8. Some sellers had books, movies (DVDs and VHS), jewelry, dog/cat themes, purses, pocket knives, and I even saw a sword for $130. They also had silver coins for sale. It was a lot of fun walking through the store and checking everything out, since it was all so eclectic. The sea glass jewelry and household items were pretty gorgeous, but we ended up not buying any. My sister also bought some tea. We had some cute finds, but mostly we just enjoyed walking around and looking at all the items for sale!

She could not have been more rude as she was checking us out. If she did not want to be bothered with customers, then don't open the store. We left there very disgusted and disappointed. We went next door to another lovely antique store where we were welcomed and made to feel important as a customer. Suggest you take a lesson from them about how to treat your customers. Our experience with you is not the way to make visitors feel good about coming to a resort area.

5/17/2024 very interesting shop- I really enjoyed this thrift shop most of the three my dear friend…read moretook me to see. The prices are higher here than other thrift stores in general. I found a cute kaleidoscope - not vintage but still beautiful colors and patterns for 3$-I also noticed a super cool paperweight in the case and the guy was kind to let me see it. He informed me that it was 25% off. It was reminiscent of one my grandmother had and I really liked the murano glass look to it. I've seen these priced at 20-22 elsewhere. I got this for 12$. It was priced at 15 with 25% discount. Definitely a lot to see here and I would certainly go back on a rainy seashore day. I recommend this business. The only thing that was off-putting was the girl at the register was screwing around on her cell phone as I stood right in front of her. A coworker had to nudge her to ring me up. She apologized for being inattentive.

This is not a thrift store…read more Yes, I know the sign SAYS it's a thrift store. It's not. Thrift stores are places where you can purchase home goods, clothing, furniture, etc at a low price because everything is used/pre owned. This is,at best, a vintage store. Why? Prices. Across categories, the prices are quite high, in many cases above eBay asking price (which is different from actual sold price). I had heard from news & social media that this was happening- stores have seen how "up sellers" were making money on thrift store finds. They've decided that if someone would pay a reseller, they would also pay at a store, right? Even better, the thrift store gets their items donated - so free to them. I hope they are successful with this. I understand that the money they make largely goes to help people in need. If you're going to do this, you need to re-brand as a vintage boutique. Otherwise you are drawing customers who are not interested or able to pay premium prices. As I walked through the store, I heard comments from others: "Can you believe this price? It's so expensive! I can't afford anything here." To top it off, I visited another nearby thrift, also run by a nonprofit, where they had some of the identical items available at a fraction of the ARC's asking price. I wish them well. I think the ARC programs provide a lot of services and support to people with intellectual differences, including members of my family. I love to support them. I'm just not their customer. I am sad.

They offered to obtain the appraisal and certification, and we put down a $200 deposit on a ring so they wouldn't sell it in the meantime with the understanding that if we weren't satisfied with either the certification or the appraisal the deposit would be refunded, less the costs associated with having them done. We were told it would take 10 days. Five weeks later after countless unreturned phone calls and repeated requests for our fax/email/address information, the appraisal came back low and we decided to pass on the ring. We were initially informed by Donna, with whom we had made the agreement, that they would only issue us a store credit. We had to call the owner and defend our reasons for passing on the ring. Ultimately, they agreed to issue the refund, as we had discussed. The time and hassle we spent on this was unreasonable, and the staff were entirely unapologetic. We were told that a family emergency is what caused the initial delay and, while the impact that would have on a small mom-and-pop store is understandable, a simple phone call explaining that "it would take a few weeks" would have gone a long way.
