It must have been an off night. the workers were still there in the back and there was one two top sitting on the patio outside. now that the scene is painted, let's move onto the food. the guy at the register was super helpful as it was my first time visiting any of the brickyard hollow locations. I got the small blueberry pizza (6 slices), which has certainly made the rounds on social media as one of the best pizzas in maine. the food came out pretty quick, hot and fresh. as someone who could easily eat a small pizza to himself, it did make me want an in between size (medium) as they only have small or large pizzas. the toppings on the pizza were maine blueberries, lemon ricotta, and shallots on an olive oil base. I loved the flavor and it was substantial enough for a meal even though it seemed like more of a dessert pizza when I first heard of it. it's a savory and slightly sweet pizza that works really well. I saw they also have a maine blueberry pancake pizza for breakfast which also sounds like something I need to try. definitely on my list of quick and easy dinners. tl;dr get the maine blueberry pizza for lunch or dinner, it's worth it! they only have two sizes: small or large. they also have blueberry pancake pizza for breakfast, too.

The atmosphere and fire pits here is definitely the charm. If it's too cold out they have an indoor area that can work for you just as well. The food is limited, but they have a pizza trailer like many beer places allowing you to get your combined beer and pizza fix. May as well kick of those feet on the concrete fire pit rims.

We were not sure about the ordering process, and after a few minutes started trying to find the pub website and look for a menu. Eventually a menu was brought to our table, and we put in an order for beer. Turns out, half of the items on the menu were not available. When we did figure out an order, more items were made not available. We settled on a NY style pizza. We did not get the toppings we ordered. Good news: the crust was very good, and worth another try! Even the leftovers were delicious the next day - not all pizza can do that. They do not know how to pour a Guinness - which is too bad, because that is a favorite beer of ours. We switched to another tap and had a local red. The tap selection is decent. The place has a very casual atmosphere, and many locals come and go and seem to have great conversation and know each other's business. Overall, a place with great potential, especially for regulars. Hopefully, another visit will be more successful for exploring the menu which sounds good.
