What an AMAZING BUSINESS! Yesterday we were headed home from Florida,, had to get gas iin Smithsburg MD and the car wouldn't start (1 hour away from arriving home in Hanover PA). Matt from Antietam towing went above and beyond communicating with me about my vehicle which he had towed after my accident. The horrible insurance company I was dealing with was keeping me in the dark, lying to me every which way. Matt called me and texted me with advice as to what to do about getting the company to pay for my fixes and towing fees. He even called to inform me that my car was being assessed for damages and to confirm that the insurance agent was having it towed to the correct shop. He was always so responsive and if I ever need towing again I will be using his business. read more

It is unfortunate that there aren't 10 stars to give Matt and Antietam Towing. I had a severe accident on I-81, that damaged my truck and totaled my trailer. Matt received the call from the State Trooper, and proceeded to do the impossible, get my rolled and heavily damaged trailer out of the woods without spilling or losing any of the contents through the sardine-can peeled open top. My praise to Matt doesn't end with his skill at his craft. He offered gratis to help me transfer the load to a new trailer that I then had bought - saying that when people are in need, other people are supposed to help. His basic human decency is a very, very rare commodity - and it exudes and is manifest in everything about him. He is an extremely hard working family man - whose decency is clear in each and every conversation. As to the load transfer, he came in early on a day off - a day he would then spend with his son at a truck show - and marshalled additional help so that all was done in a matter of little more than an hour. He wouldn't let me lift anything heavy - and he didn't know that I have a severe cardiac condition (a fully occluded and unrepairable main cardiac artery), and had recently had significant cancer surgery (removing half my large intestine) as well as emergency surgery for a strangulated hernia. No, I didn't have to tell him anything about my medical condition. He simply was responding to my stress and anxiety and loss from my accident. In fact, as he reads this for the first time, it will be the first he learns of my medical history. Matt is a truly amazing individual, and hopefully anyone requiring towing will not hesitate to contact him, and hopefully the Lord will look down well on him and his family. The morning after he towed my trailer he called to let me know that rain was forecasted and I shouldn't worry - that he was securing a tarp over the trailer so that there would be no rain damage while I drove to purchase a new trailer. To begin, I was calling around to find a towing company to re-position, in my garage, my classic 1976 Cadillac that did not run. Matt was extremely responsive to my request (unlike any of the other companies who were expensive and uncaring) and came when he said he would. He and Mike were very respectful of my car and carefully maneuvered it exactly the way I wanted it. The cost was very reasonable. I, without hesitation, called him when I had it ready to be towed to the repair shop that Matt told me about (another Five Star establishment) and another plus for Matt's character. Again, he and Mike maneuvered my car expertly to get it on their truck (my driveway is rather difficult). He answered his phone promptly each time I called and came when he said he would. Of course, the whole towing job was done perfectly. Also, the charge was very reasonable. He and his company are definitely the very, very best! I highly recommend Antietam Towing. read more

My father had been a customer of Auto Serv for years, he had earned a free oil change , and went to use it, and was refused Auto Serv was under new ownership, So he paid for the oil Change. ******* BEWARE OF AUTO SERV ON BURHAMS BLVD IN HAGERSTOWN MD.!!!!!!!!!! OIL CHANGE GONE BAD!!!!! My father had my step brother take his 2000 F250 in for an oil change, apparently auto serv didn't put the oil plug in tightly and all the oil ran out onto the driveway , the oil wasn't spotted because it was raining for a few days then it snowed. only 10-15 miles was put on the truck , and while driving it locked up, Motor is blown up and NO GOOD!!! thanks to these idiots at Auto Serv on Burhams Blvd in Hagerstown MD. I went back to Andy the owner, gave me the run around and won't do anything about it!!!! Andy admitted the oil plug was loose and the oil change was a rush job!!!! So Today I had to tow the Blown up Junk of a truck home and retire it to my back yard, This truck belongs to my father and his wife who has Alzheimer's. My Father since has passed away January 3, 2014. The oil change took place in early December 2013. This truck was driven by my Step Brother to take his mother who has Alzheimer's back and fourth to the doctors and to go to the store. My step brother has had to quit his job to care for his mother since my father has passed away of Aplastic Anemia, This was their only transportation, and now they Have NOTHING due to Auto Serv of Burhams Blvd of Hagerstown MD read more
