My uncle's biker bar. Friendly atmosphere, antiquated decor, and kick ass bar tenders.

Spotted this pub as we drove by, coming into town for a stop over on our way to Norfolk, Va…read more fortunately it was within walking distance from our hotel. Such a cute area with boutiques, bakery/coffee shops and restaurants. I was excited for, craving and hoping for fish and chips and they did not disappoint! Very friendly and welcoming staff. Beautiful pictures of Ireland's landscape in the dinning area adjacent to the bar room. Great cocktail, wine and beer menu. We had EXCELLENT meals...pot roast and fish and chips! I enjoyed ( never had one before ) an Irish martini.

Wish I could leave zero stars, but our waitress ended up being extremely nice…read more Walked in looking for a table of 4. They told us 20-30 minutes which wasn't a problem. Now mind you there were a lot of empty tables with "reserved" on them at that point. Fast forward an hour later, because we didn't get a txt from them, we went in to see what the story was. They proceeded to tell us it would be another 30 minutes. Also the seats that had "reserved" on them were still empty! They said they would take care of us, and walked us over to the bar side, and told us we would have to stand at the counter to eat! I was fuming. The other three from my party walked out, while i proceeded to tell the manager this was extremely poor service! All he could say was they were busy. I pointed out the empty tables that were empty when we first walked in an hour ago and are still empty! They finally gave us one of those tables. We were out in an hour and guess what ...... there were still empty tables with "reserved" on them! Would NOT recommend this place to anyone! My suggestion is to go someplace else!! Like I said, our waitress was extremely nice and couldn't apologize enough.

Conveniently located, plenty of parking, awesome service, great food and seems to attract a perfect clientele. Atmosphere was cozy, friendly and even us first timers were made to feel like old friends or family. Five stars only because 10 stars wasn't an option. We'll be back for sure! We were greeted by Christian at the host stand. Nice kid, easy going, great personality and the perfect host. Reminded me of my nephew. Shortly after being seated, Angelia (yes, her name, just like the song from the late 80's), came over. Polite, funny and also a great personality. Even though she didn't serve us ginger ale on a plane... You'd have to know the song. Lol! Angie made great recommendations, which we tried a couple of. For appetizers, Pretzels and Beer Cheese. They were awesome. The cheese was very thick, but the taste was perfect and we love cheese, so it was all good. Also had at Angie's recommendation, the Buffalo Chicken Wontons. They were great along with Charter 803's homemade special ranch based dip. We're typically Blue Cheese fans, not Ranch, but this Ranch dip was not your typical Ranch. It was an off the hook perfect pairing with the Buffalo Wontons. For dinner, we had a Fish and Chips and an American Cheese Burger. The fish was two nice fillets of Cod, perfectly breaded and fried, paired with Charter 803's homemade tartar sauce. The sauce was smooth, silky and not overpowering. As for the burger, I got mine minus the lettuce, tomato and garlic aioli. I'm not into salad sandwiches. Lol! Pickles, onion and ketchup are all I needed. It was a perfectly smashed, handmade looking burger. Cooked to perfection and served on a lightly toasted Brioche bun. HANDS DOWN, ONE OF THE BEST BURGERS I'VE HAD IN A LONG TIME AND ONE OF THE BEST IN THE LEXINGTON AREA. Angie was absolutely awesome. Everything we ordered was delivered to the table just as ordered. Which is always a concern with servers who don't write down your order when taking it. Angie did a perfect job and is definitely a keeper. Angie and the rest of the staff seem to have the place well taken care of. Thanks Angie and Christian, our two points of contact. We highly recommend Charter 803 Bar & Grill. If you go, hopefully you meet Christian at the host stand and be sure ask for Angelia (Angie) as your server. Make sure to tell her you were referred her fellow fans of Buffalo. Enjoy!!! PS - Sorry I didn't get a pic of the Buffalo Chicken Wontons and Beer Cheese Pretzels. They didn't last long on the table. Lol!

I had not stepped into these doors since it was the old Krafty Draft & it still had the same feel. The new owner here used to own RF's and moved to this brick a mortar. I saw him immediately upon arriving and it didn't take long until he greeted our table. He is such a nice person. You can tell he really cares about his business and customers. I even saw some old signs and remnants of RF's on the walls, which was a nice touch. When we ordered our food, it took a long time to arrive to our table, but it was a pretty busy nice and there only appeared to be one server. Our appetizer, the buffalo chicken dip, was delivered with our meals, which was kind of a bummer because it would have been nice to have first during the long wait for our entrees. It tasted very good though! My friend ordered their prime rib special and was very disappointed with it. She said it was served lukewarm and lacked flavor. Come to find out, she took some home and when she heated it up the next day, it tasted very good. My husband spoke highly of his pimento cheese burger. He said it was very good. I really liked the flavor of my Butter Chicken entree, but it was also served lukewarm, which was disappointing. The small salad served with it was just lettuce and diced tomatoes, which leads me to believe it was more of a garnish, since it was so simple and there was no dressing or anything special to it.
