We agreed that I would just pick up my laptop instead and I would figure it out myself. Well, I go to pick up my laptop already bummed my laptop was not getting fixed and when I meet Mr. Andrew at the counter and he presents my laptop to me with a crack on the screen he made while putting my laptop back together. I drive a 2002 Honda Civic. Last year (2013) a friend of mine started researching car audio to put…read morea system in his foreign car. I got dragged into the process and realized that the speakers in my Honda didn't sound that good anymore. Long story short I decided to upgrade the stereo in my car. I studied all the local car stereo shops but the brands carried at most of them didn't inspire much confidence. Low quality name brands tend to reflect the poor service/installs of the places that carry them. Case in point just a couple years before I got a Sony (low/mid level receiver) at the local Best Buy. The installer botched the job. I couldn't even get the air conditioner to work and the heater was on 100% of the time! It took a few days before Best Buy would even fix the problem they created. I ruled out Best Buy immediately for future upgrades. Sounds Unique carried several quality brands and I decided that I'd give them a shot. I listened to several of the speakers in the store and decided on the JL Audio 6.5 inch component speakers and a JL Audio Amplifier. The installation wasn't cheap, but it was well done. I couldn't decide which subwoofer I wanted, so the owner offered to let me try different boxes for a few days each to see which I liked most (without charge!). After testing 3 boxes I decided which I wanted, plus I had them install a high end Alpine receiver to replace the Sony at the same time. The business acumen of the owner was very keen....he smartly knew that letting me test the boxes would make me wish for more control over the sound! The Alpine head unit I selected has separate subwoofer outputs so that fine control could be established rather than the hamfisted control of the cheap Sony I had been using. The sound quality is, frankly, astounding. I have superb sound quality at impressive sound pressure levels with NO distortion. The installation is seamless as well with little hint that the stereo in the car is a monster. I'd give this store a 5 star rating, except that there was a minor error on the part of the installer that resulted in slight damage to the lock on my driver side door. It still works, but a small piece was broken during the install and had to be "fixed". It's an old car and there is no guarantee that wouldn't have happened anyway. All in all I'm quite pleased with the work that Sounds Unique did and will give them future business if I need more car stereo work done locally.

Finally at 10:30 they rolled up. One man came down and started disassembling a desk only for the OWNER to walk in & say we needed to disassemble it so his worker can get more done. He then went back to his truck & left ONE worker working alone. I said we paid for a 2 man crew. Owner then came inside to say they were leaving because another one of their trucks broke down and maybe he can move us next week! They were here 20 minutes tops & did nothing but take out 2 screws from a desk! We needed to move out that day & they did not care. What an absolute waste because at that point no one had availability to move us that day. This is the absolute worst company to do business with!! Cheaper is not always better!!
