My daughter and I stayed at a Bi-Level Room suite and upon checking in, we discovered that our room was in a state of neglect. The carpets and walls were visibly dirty, and the shower had not been properly sanitized and the water pressure in the shower was extremely weak with no hot water available.The sliding door in the bathroom was stuck and could not be closed or locked properly, which is a significant security concern.The downstairs television would not power on. Despite calling to report these issues, no one was sent to assist us, and housekeeping failed to clean our room entirely during our stay. The most distressing part of our stay occurred at 1:30 AM on May 4th 2026. After returning from a concert, our key cards failed to unlock the gate to our room. I called the front desk to request assistance, as we were carrying food and were exhausted from walking. The only male staff member at the front desk on duty was incredibly rude and dismissive. When I asked if he would bring replacement keys or if we should come to the lobby, he stated he would bring them and then hung up on me. After waiting outside for 10 minutes in the middle of the night, he never arrived. I called again, and he claimed he had checked three gates--a statement that was demonstrably false as we had a clear view of the path from the lobby. His final response was a blunt, "Yeah, basically," when I asked if I had to walk back to the lobby myself. This staff member showed zero empathy and a total lack of basic customer service. Between the mechanical failures of the room and the verbal rudeness of the night staff, our trip was ruined. Given the severity of these issues, I emailed them to request a full refund for our two-night stay. I believe this is a fair resolution considering the property failed to provide a clean, functional, and hospitable environment.

The manager and his henchmen staff, whom he commands via radio and phone while he hides like a coward, harassed my wife and myself, and our very young children, over the course of three hours. The housekeeping manager Rosa threatened to assault my wife while she was holding our one year old. This happened at the front desk around other guests and employees and is on their security video. She then followed us to our car to further threaten us as we drove away. Prior to yesterday we were loyal Motel 6 customers while traveling. After this, we will never go to a Motel 6 again and I advise you to do the same. This company is no longer family friendly or the least concerned with how it treats its customers. We reached out to corporate Motel 6 immediately afterwards and they have been zero help. We were told they couldn't do anything about it and to get in touch with the very manager who refused to apologize for his abusive behavior and disappeared to avoid confronting us. The conduct of the manager and staff at the Motel 6 El Paso West is completely inexcusable. It was the exact opposite of everything associated with hospitality. Please do not support this motel or its parent chain that doesn't take responsibility for poor customer experiences and the damage they cause. P.S. There was also a constant weed/marijuana smell from one of the motel's regulars which another guest was complaining about to the front desk clerk while we waited to speak to the manager who never showed his coward's face. P.P.S. We left a full report of our experience with a corporate Motel 6 guest relations staff. They refused to give us a transcript. We still have not heard back from the higher up we were promised would call us. P.P.P.S. We now know Motel 6 is wholly owned by the Indian company OYO Rooms as of late 2024. Do not expect American level customer service from anyone above front desk staff.

It is such a cool weather, evergreen-cloaked treat for us desert rats to visit. The parking lot is never packed and there are never any lot lizards. The bathrooms are super clean and the shower and trucker lounge is clean and taken care of. There are a few restaurants on sight that are pretty good too. The store has plenty of essentials including shampoos and OTC medications. There is a nice dog area and at least two lounge areas and even a laundry mat. We make sure to stop here every time we travel to grab a homes style bite and take a shower.
