Our stay here traumatized our children and led our family to flee for our safety. Avoid at all costs. I write this as a warning to all families considering staying here. The manager and his henchmen staff, whom he commands via radio and phone while he hides like a coward, harassed my wife and myself, and our very young children, over the course of three hours. The housekeeping manager Rosa threatened to assault my wife while she was holding our one year old. This happened at the front desk around other guests and employees and is on their security video. She then followed us to our car to further threaten us as we drove away. Prior to yesterday we were loyal Motel 6 customers while traveling. After this, we will never go to a Motel 6 again and I advise you to do the same. This company is no longer family friendly or the least concerned with how it treats its customers. We reached out to corporate Motel 6 immediately afterwards and they have been zero help. We were told they couldn't do anything about it and to get in touch with the very manager who refused to apologize for his abusive behavior and disappeared to avoid confronting us. The conduct of the manager and staff at the Motel 6 El Paso West is completely inexcusable. It was the exact opposite of everything associated with hospitality. Please do not support this motel or its parent chain that doesn't take responsibility for poor customer experiences and the damage they cause. P.S. There was also a constant weed/marijuana smell from one of the motel's regulars which another guest was complaining about to the front desk clerk while we waited to speak to the manager who never showed his coward's face. P.P.S. We left a full report of our experience with a corporate Motel 6 guest relations staff. They refused to give us a transcript. We still have not heard back from the higher up we were promised would call us. P.P.P.S. We now know Motel 6 is wholly owned by the Indian company OYO Rooms as of late 2024. Just traveling through area and needed a place to stay. This was quick, the cheapest on Expedia, and it works. If you're looking for frills or used to upscale rooms and will be uncomfortable otherwise, then this isn't for you. But if you can make do with basic functionality then this Motel 6 is workable. I was comfortable in the room, bed was comfortable, and I noticed the lighting around the lot was very good. (Like a prison almost, but this deters vehicle burglaries and other bad behaviors.) So, to summarize, nothing impressive here but very functional and I'd stay here again. read more

Parking Ample parking all over property but spaces in front of rooms are FCFS, more parking along rock wall. Check-in Easy peasy thanks to Mrs Betty and front desk staff. If it weren't for the reviews that sang Betty's praises from the mountain top, I wouldn't have considered this motel. Front desk went above and beyond for me when my hands simply did not have the magical touch needed to open my door (card key wouldn't work, went back twice to address card key problem). Room King Size Smoking + fridge + microwave I booked through Hotels.com and for the fair price room was exceedingly comfortable. The bed, the bed! It's similar to memory foam bc I tried to knock over my drink while punching the mattress area around it, it didn't move--great for those whom have a partner who moves a lot in their sleep (me). Do bring your own shampoo + conditioner, only soap bars are provided, towels are provided as well. Two person dining ensemble provided. Plenty of wall plugs to charge your devices. Wifi service is functional but not the best. Check out is at 11am sharp. No bfast provided I would recommend Butter Smith Kitchen & Pies across the street (parking available at BSK&P property). Stay Given this location is for a commuters, travelers, and truck drivers, you're going to hear some voice above you and around you, this particular Saturday night was quiet despite late arrival guests. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay here. I waited almost 15 minutes after entering the lobby to get my room. The young man behind the counter was chatting with someone who is clearly homeless and appeared strung out who is renting a room. (Meth?). I was happy for him to have a place to stay for the night but a little nervous as well. When I got to my room the first thing I did was pick up a pillow and I saw two hairs on it. I contacted the front desk and the young man had to ask the manager (owner) Before he could switch my room. He gave me a different room and as soon as I open the door the light would not turn on. I went to the front desk and asked the owner if I could get a discount since I had so many difficulties. At that point I was frustrated. The owner mumbled something about getting me my money back and stormed off and the kid said he can't give me a discount. He said he could reimburse me and I could leave, which is what the owner told him to do, to kick me out because I complained. I had driven 10 hours I was too tired to find another hotel room. I stayed in the second room even though it's very dirty, and there were also other peoples hairs in this room, although this time they were on the towels. The floor is really dirty and the corners and everything is worn and unkept. I'm 50 and this is one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Just don't stay here! read more

I arrived at this dump at almost 11pm after driving for over 14 hours. I slept and woke up to continue my drive. At approximately 6:30 am when I was leaving I noticed my gas cap was off. I had made several trips to my vehicle prior to going to sleep and it was intact. I went directly into the front desk and the man on duty was rude and condescending. He called security which did not even come speak with me. Security wanted to know what time this happened. As if I'm supposed to know what time my vehicle is being vandalized in your safe parking lot while I was sleeping! Well because I didn't know what time it had happened I was dismissed and told to come back at 10am. Obviously that's not going to happen when I'm driving across the country because I'm going to be 3.5 hours from here! Dismissed, is what I was! The staff member was rude, condescending, and dismissive. Showed absolutely no empathy whatsoever nor did he try to help me at all! Never again. You get what you pay for! Trash! I will be filing some serious complaints about this place so what happened to me does not happen to anyone else. read more

They have roaches in the rooms they were in my bed had to sleep with out sheets. I slept with a small towel ..!! To late to go anywhere elese and I was out of town. Almost stayed here. Glad I didn't. Would give no stars if I could. We showed up at 7:30pm checked out at 8:12pm. Cigarette burns in the bed covers in a "non smoking" room. The room smelled heavily of smoke. Tried to make the best of the situation and began to sanitize everything but once the dead bugs fell out of the "clean" bath towels we called the front desk and said we wanted to leave. The guy told us we had been there for 2 hours so we need to be charged for the night when the guy literally just helped us. It wasn't worth the effort to fight as we drove 13 hours and needed sleep. We told the guy charge the card we'll fight with our credit card. Then he said we needed to to drop the keys off in the morning as tonight was a done deal and told him we are leaving regardless and left the keys and bolted. I had reservations at this Motel 6 and called to say I was going to be late due to a traffic accident. Still when I arrived, the desk clerk wasn't able to give me late checkout. The parking lot was pretty small, particularly since it was occupied by big-rig cab. Not my favorite Motel 6 experience and there was a bug in the room. On the plus side, all rooms have free Wi-Fi. Wow, where to start. This just adds to the awful experiences we have had with Motel 6. Unfortunately, it was the only place available late on a Sunday night in El Paso on any kind of small budget. I would highly recommend driving a little farther out of town and grabbing a hotel there. The only positive was the guy working there was super friendly. Upon entering the room after a super long day on the road this was certainly not a good spot to get a comfortable nights rest. The shower was literally a trickle. There was a funky smell in the room and once we had put our bags down, a bug/ beetle crawled from under the bed. I grabbed it with a cup and paper to let it outside and two more bugs crawled out from under the bed. Aside from this, there was a large insect in the corner of the wash area which I also grabbed and let outside. This is understandable as it's the desert and it was hot. As I did this, an awful smell came through the door that made us all start coughing for five minutes. It was like some kind of spray had been sprayed. The a.c unit was faulty and seemed to be set to one setting " blast : on". The beds had lousy excuses for mattress protectors which were too small for the mattress and the bed linen was dirty and had holes and stains on them. We ended up sleeping very badly on top of the beds for fear of bed bugs. As we were leaving in the morning, we saw that the room next to us had several dogs in it with them. Shouldn't it be specified if pets are allowed... if pets are allowed, I imagine there should be some pretty strict cleaning guidelines. Unfortunately, these were non-existant. read more

Parking is null and void if you are towing anything. I made a reservation while on the road to the location, I informed the desk attendant, male, that according to my GPS I was 50 miles away. When I arrived the clerk told me, "Man right on time I was just about to run your card." As he held a small piece of scratch notepaper with multiple credit card numbers on it, including mine. I handed him my card and he told me it declined, I've been traveling and didn't want to call to increase my spending amount for the day. I handed him another card and it was approved. After this, he informs me that if he would have ran my card before I got there and it declined he would have sold my room to another gentleman that was standing next to me hearing this whole conversation. What the hell is a confirmation number for? I've been driving for 18 hours and as much as I don't stray from confrontation, I was too tired to deal with the issue. Therefore I warn the rest of you, there's multiple lodging facilities in the area, go somewhere else. My wife in CA found this place for me because I had our dogs and this place is pet friendly. It was a pain in the ass for me to just call to make the reservation much less get online and look. I'll be here for 4-5 hours before I'm back on the road again. Never again, if I didn't have bikes and dogs that I was worried about I would have rather slept in my truck and took a ho bath at a rest stop, yes, that disappointed. read more

Motel 6, 7840 N Mesa St , El Paso, Texas - 79932 (West El Paso) There was a misunderstanding with the check out time. Instead of calling me to ask me to see if I wanted to extend my stay, they chose to put my personal stuff in the management office and rented my room to someone else without notification. So there I went waking up someone at 12am as I was attemping to access my room. When I rebooked a room and went through my stuff, I found out they gave me an extra paraphernalia glass item with a liquid substance in it that's not mine which spilled onto my personal stuff. They either gave me a room with that in it or it belonged to their staff. In a middle of a pandemic you would have thought that would not occur. The day shift staff was extremely rude and the management lacks leadership. Management dealt with the situation poorly instead of recognizing all the stuff that could have gone wrong with the situation. One example is when I explained the paraphernalia glass item was not mine, the manager INSISTED it was mine! They were very rude about the ordeal. The hotel also stole a valuable item In which I am planning to follow up with the local police department since they were not able to handle it internally. read more

I see so many others giving this place bad reviews, but I actually had a good stay. Yet, it seems like only recently that the rooms were renovated, so that may be why. The air conditioning is good, almost too much so, as you could freeze if you don't set it carefully. The bed was super comfortable and decorated with modern furniture, even if the outside of the building leaves you worried. Give it a chance and hope you get one of the renovated rooms! read more

I just checked into my non-smoking room. As I entered I noticed it smells like smoke and another unidentifiable smell. This is also a double bed room and both the comforters have cigarette burns and stains. The wood floor under the sink is also missing a part of the wood flooring. I spoke to the gentleman in the office by phone to have them change the bedding and he informed me that I would have to change everything myself as housekeeping left for the day. As I walked to the office I noticed housekeeping a few rooms down cleaning. I brought this to the office management attention and he stuttered a minute and then said "oh yes they are still cleaning I will see if they can change your bedding ". That was at 3:30pm and it is now 4:30 pm and no one has come to the room or offered another room, I am very disappointed in this hotel. read more

HORRIBLE experience! Booked my reservation online for 40.99 for 2 rooms 2 beds each. When I went to check in the receptionist, Ana, was extremely rude and every time we try to ask for something or why our rate went up to 55$ a night. She would refer us to "read everything online." I WILL never recommend this place again. There is no common courtesy here. Called corporate to see why my rates are different and they ended up hanging up on me. Also, I called and asked if I could check in early and that request was acknowledged over the phone and ignored once we arrived early. read more

I live in El Paso and had family coming in for the weekend. I called various hotels trying to find a place that would let me rent a room just so i could take all the kids swimming. After calling 7 different places this hotel gave me a good price and allowed us to use the pool. the manager was so friendly and helped us with everything. I know that if i need a place to take all my nieces and nephews swimming when all the pools in town are closed this is where i will be going. read more
