However, I continue to choose Federal Hill Mortage because Tammy Saul and her team are always committed to making sure they are doing 150%. With them on my team, the home buying process is a little more relaxed and I am always confident that I am surrounded by people who are trying to help me achieve my goal. This team is well-educated on home-buying and are always ready with a recommendation and a positive attitude, especially in these confusing financial times. That's why whenever anyone tells me they are thinking about buying a home, the first thing I say is "Have I introduced you to Tammy and her team?" Five stars all the way around. What a stellar team :) ----------------------------------- First time home buyer at 26 here. And I could not have done it without Tammy and Tiffany from Federal Hill Mortage! They were always available with answers for my million questions and filled with kindness. Tammy is very resourceful and just the go getter I needed on my team to make my dream a reality. Tiffany is so sweet and worked so quickly to help my transition be as smooth as possible. Thanks to them, I am spending the weekend picking out paint colors and furniture, all with a huge smile! I highly recommend Federal Hill Mortage. If you want results, they are the team you need.

Working with Tamm and her loan officers made this entire process easier than grocery shopping. I am an individual who requires much communication and many updates, and was never left in the dark. The homebuying process as a first time buyer was difficult for me for a number of reasons - my…read moreagent was awful and completely unhelpful, I bought during the summer months so houses were flying off the market within days, and I was constantly disappointed by the houses I toured. Everything turned around for me once I started working with Bob (Robert) and Jessica. I called them at all hours of the day with a million and one questions and they were not only responsive, but also patiently explained every little detail that I was confused about (which was a lot). Bob came up with several different loan scenarios for me, all of which included every incentive program that I qualified for. After speaking with a number of different lenders and real estate agents, I realized that things like city-specific financial incentives are not common knowledge, even among experts in the trade. Bob knows his stuff and ended up saving me a LOT of money. He even called me once to say, "Great news - I just found a way to save you $1,500." Need I say more? I was also extremely grateful for Jessica, Bob's assistant. One time, Bob was in a meeting and normally, that's usually a sign to the client that they'll have to wait for a call back, but Jessica was so knowledgeable about my files and current situation, that she was able to help me with all that I needed herself. Bob also called to follow up after his meeting. Double win. I never even had to step foot in their office. I usually never write online reviews, but I really cannot say enough about Bob and Jessica at First Home Mortgage. If you couldn't already tell, I highly recommend!

I was referred to the NACA program by a two friends. Both raved endlessly about the benefits and…read moresuccess of the program which encouraged me to look into it. Both friends were able to become prequalified and purchase a home within a year to a year and a half. I started the NACA program three months ago in May 2023 and have had 2 counseling sessions. The introduction workshop was very informative, organized and helpful. At times the process is confusing and slightly overwhelming, but if you're dedicated to using outside resources to educate yourself and take advantage of all the available information that NACA provides you will be successful. You definitely need to be on top of your paperwork- have all of your documents ready and organized and ask questions. My current counselor, Andrea is absolutely wonderful. She walked me through step by step, explained the numbers in detail, and is communicative and responsive via email. You can tell that she wants to help you and cares about making sure you feel confident during the process. They also have a portal which is helpful to making sure you're on track and have all your documents on file. NACA helps you learn about buying a home but also provides education on how to own a home, homeowner's insurance, landlord training (if applicable), budgeting tools and more. I'm very optimistic and hopeful about my future with NACA. I recommend and will continue to recommend this program for first time homebuyers. My only concern, is that I was initially I was assigned a counselor that was not engaged, confused me more, and was not communicative. I sent him my documents and he did not add them to my file which set my timeline back months because I had to request and get the same documents I had already gotten all over again. But luckily I was switched to a MUCH better counselor and because my friend had warned me something like that could happen (given the turnover with counselors) I was more prepared. Overall, NACA is a great program and if you put the effort in, you will be successful!

If you have Julio Navarro as a counselor don't expect consistent communication regarding your process. Phone, email, text are all useless. If you attempt to contact his supervisor Derrick Braynon, or Lakesha Geter you will receive the same poor service. Over a year over submitting personal and financial documents to be told you have to wait another year is absolutely inexcusable. Doing my research they have about an 85% fail rate regarding providing home loans. If you do begin the long process with NACA please be prepared for this and have an alternate method of obtaining your loan
