Joan was incredibly patient and responsive throughout the entire planning process. We had plenty of questions--often on weekends when we finally had time to sit down and plan--and she was always there with prompt, helpful answers. At one point during our trip, I made a somewhat frantic call because I wasn't sure where we were supposed to be going next. Joan calmly re-sent our updated itinerary (which I later realized I hadn't read as carefully as I should have!) and got us back on track in minutes. Joan also helped us select the cruise line that best matched our travel style. During the trip, we talked with passengers from several other cruise lines and asked why they had chosen theirs. One person said they primarily cruised because they received free cruises through casino gambling. We never even set foot in the casino--that simply isn't who we are. We extended our Alaska cruise with a three-night land tour and also added hotel stays before and after the trip. Joan's hotel selections exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed beautiful rooms with outstanding views--including one on the top floor of a 17-story hotel in Anchorage. In talking with other travelers on our tour, none of them had accommodations with views like ours. Those thoughtful touches made an already memorable vacation even more special. Looking back, it's hard to imagine planning this trip without Joan's expertise.
