My husband also felt that the members were not very friendly since we made an effort to get to know people and nobody would talk to us really. Hymns only and the preaching is solid, but it's hard to get to know people there. I was willing to put in the effort to try to know more people oh, but my husband just wasn't. We had to give up.

Positive-Good messages…read more The worship used to be good but has become a show. This is a very cliquey church that has a group of "elites" who are in all the photos online, and run the show. There is not elders in this church so the pastor makes all decisions. Finances are never released or shown, including for the building project, so there's absolutely no accountability for finances, hiring and firing people, loads of interns, or on salaries. The staff is definitely not very friendly unless you have a lot of money and a certain look. If you are a wealthy Californian who has the right look, you are welcome here but the average working person is not.

In fact, I'm pretty sure I've NEVER seen ANYone wearing leather pants...at least not to church. Hey, by most accounts this is a kind of weird church. The services are kind of long, there's no children's church so the kids sit with their folks, they meet in a hotel, they often sing old hymns with no musical accompaniment, but they preach God's word. So check 'em out if you want to.
