I have been here for over six years. It's not very friendly, and never was, but just seems things are getting worse. The people at doors are surface level friendly. Most of the leadership and pastors are not very friendly and the pastor is definitely drawn to those with status. Pastor Pace will look right past people who are right in front of his face, and act like he doesn't see them if he doesn't consider you to be of his accepted status. I have never had a personal conversation with him, and by that I mean he hasn't even said hi, and I have been in leadership for over five years. No, it's not about me, but normally a pastor at least speaks to those who are there week after week and normally a pastor tries to get to know people who are serving. There isn't a board of elders here, nor membership, and the pastor is the only one who makes the decisions. They also do not have any ministries except youth ministry and it's just like church, and also has an accepted inner circle. The staff and top leadership is very cliquey. A friend of mine asked why there isn't prayer during the gatherings, or an extra time of prayer, and she was told there isn't time to pray. They used to have worship nights but even those have stopped. They keep hiring more staff but I don't know for what as they truly only do Sunday gatherings. So many of the great leaders here have left. read more

I came to this church a year ago after being treated like a fixture at my last one I was at for 7 years, and was welcomed with open arms. Pastor Pace and the staff have been absolutely incredible and I joined the creative team in the spring to help further their vision thru a camera lens. Some look at the church and see how big it is and get intimidated but not me. I took the time to get to know people and have one on one conversations, these people are so loving, kind, and welcoming. All those I see very cowardly leaving 1 star reviews are missing the point. Tithing is necessary, the new building is needed (but it's not our focus), and I try to say hello to everyone I see that I do not know that's near me when I walk by. If you're having trouble getting connected, join a small group, ask questions, have a conversation, don't assume things because your last church experience was a bad one. OPC is a safe haven, all you gotta do is take the time to step back/not react and come to functions and meet people. Now, if you're looking for a comfortable seeker-friendly this isn't it. Pastor Pace doesn't sugarcoat and he won't back down from the truth in love. If you want a church that challenges you, you're in the right place. read more

We've been a part of OPC since it started up about 7 years ago, when they were meeting in a theater. We were so impressed at how hard they worked to have spaces available for Children's church, as well as a nursery, and welcoming greeters and coffee bar. We hung in there with them when they moved to their current location, the shopping mall by the Hayden discount theater, and what a blessing it's been. We've been part of a small group, serve most Sundays in their children's ministry for ages birth through middle school, we've joined in on stand alone serving, i.e. Orange Week, when the church gives back to the community, etc. Through serving we've gotten to know quite a few people. Their Cares Ministry has lent a hand when we needed it, with calls and meals, Pastor Pace puts so much heart into his teachings, and the Worship Ministry has really grown over the past few years. Any given Sunday you'll see a wide range of ages and stages attending and serving, from early 20's to 70's and older. That's impressive. We love One Place Church and feel privileged to be a part of reaching out to the communities of CDA, Post Falls, Rathdrum, Hayden and beyond. read more

Not sure why so many reviews are hidden on this church. Many are from staff and their families, but many are not. I like the worship and preaching here. Some of the people are friendly. The inner circle of pastors and leadership are not friendly and are very inner circle focused, it's like a high school mean girl clickiness. The church pretty much only offers Sunday service. There are small groups but most are closed to the inner clickiness. There isn't any men's or women's ministries or recovery or marriage ministries. There is a very large staff, however. Very little time is spent praying and the church never has prayer or worship times outside of Sunday. The church has possibilities but it's over 10 years old and if they don't have ministries now, they never will. I don't think there's any missions or outside giving to area groups, either, as I've never heard them say anything about supporting other groups, just the church itself. read more

My family has attended One Place for 3 years now. I can honestly say that this church and the people that attend have impacted our lives and our kids lives in such a powerful way. I have never in my life made so many REAL friends and I have been in church all my life, and my husband feels the same way. I love that every Sunday I get to learn things from the Bible in such an applicable way and it is so easy for my family to understand. Every person has their own relationship with God and HE ALONE will guide you on what is right and wrong if you seek him. Make your own opinion on this and any church for that matter. Do not let what others have to say make judgements for you. Come and see for yourself what we have discovered. It's kind of funny that as I read the reviews, both published and "not recommended" that most are from staff and their spouses. This place has friendly people, good worship, and decent sermons. The problem is that the staff/directors are all an inner circle and don't speak to many out of their tiny circle. The pastor has to run everything, or be in charge of everything, and the staff oversees everything else, including fun events. They do not trust others to be leaders in charge of ministries. They also don't believe in doing much outside of Sunday gatherings which makes it so people truly don't know one another. This church has potential but don't see anything changing. read more

I love this faith family! The people of One Place Church have been so welcoming, and there are lots of opportunities for my family to get involved. The kids church is awesome--my 9 yo always comes home so excited to tell me the Bible verse she learned, and my teens love the student ministry and can't wait for Wednesdays. The sermons are biblical and timely, and I think it's awesome how the prayer requests are personally responded to. I'm so glad this church is here in this community. It's a blessing! read more

Pastor Pace preaches straight out of God's word and makes it understandable without compromising. The worship every week is powerful. The people of One Place are friendly and kind. They have fantastic and safe kids church where Jesus is presented at their level. All ages and all stages of faith are welcome here. The first two reviews are from people who do this to every church in the area. They even have their own website to bash pastors. If anyone spends anytime at One Place Church, they will see the truth that the Pastors, Volunteers and Parishioners, are genuine and follow biblical teachings. I love this place, been here for a good amount of time. Solid worship, very friendly and welcoming staff. Really love their kid's programming, the volunteers up there are very nice and great with the kids. Solid messages, pastor doesn't pull any punches and delivers the word every week. Worship sounds great too. Oh, and they have great coffee in the lobby. Clean facility, it's apparent that the staff takes great care of the place. Would recommend if anyones looking for a solid local church. read more

My family and I have attended here for six months and we feel like we are at home. Pastor Pace is a great man of God. He is personable and easily approachable. He stands strong on God's Word and his sermons are very Biblically based. We really enjoy the worship, as well. My kids love kids church and learn the Bible at their level. They talk about what they learn in class throughout the week, which as a mom is so important to me. We are so thankful to have found this church family. read more

This church is not biblical for its teachings on tithing. This is exploitative by itself, but they are also not financially transparent, and their affiliation with ARC (they are an ARC Church) is a red flag as well. ARC has a history of abusive behavior. Certain individuals from the harrass me on telegram, wanting assets given to them, not money, so they can live free and never have to work. Stay away. Their teachings aren't scripturally sound and all they teach is to give everything to them according to the laws of Moses, commandment of Abraham and we should fear if we don't give all our land and assets to them or else God will kill us like he did Ananias and Saphira. read more

Love this church! My husband and I started attending over 5 years ago and love it even more each year. It's home to us and where we are excited to be raising our kids. Biblically sound teaching, great kids programming, super welcoming environment and ways to get connected through groups and teams! So many friends have become family, we are home! read more
