Since the beginning of August I'll been waiting for my eye glasses. First I have my eyes checked,…read morethe I proceded to select the frame. They made all the measurements, I paid and waited for 10 days. Went to pickup the glasses but I couldn't see well with them. I told the employee but she told me that gave my sight to adjust. A week passed and my eyes didnt adjusted to the new lenses. In order to read I have to put the frame in angle, that's not supposed to be the way you used your eyeglasses to read. I went to the store and told them my problem, I couldn't focus and neither read w/ the glasses. The technician check the lenses, compared then with the order and said that the lenses where wrong. They said that they're going to rectify the prescription. Also, the manager told me to reexamine my eyes with another of their optometrist. I went, and after the exam something funny happens, the front employee ask me for my old glasses, and walah! a new prescription came back with the exact prescription of my old glasses. They order the new glasses, I went to picked them up, and guess what?, I couldn't read, nor see clearly with them either. They, again told me to try them, but I saw blurry and returned to the store. They made a lens for the third time. Went to the store to "finally " pickup my glasses and again, no luck. The technician ask me what was the problem, I told him, he measured the angle of another pair of lenses that I have to purchase, and noticed that there's a difference on the angle of their lenses. He ask me to wait an hour to correct them but I had another compromise and I have to leave. They told me that when I came back from my trip the lenses will be ready. I went on Saturday, and the manager presented that I gave him my new lenses that I purchased in another store to compare the prescription, and I told him a rotund no, that my new lenses have the exactly the same prescription that the one they where trying to fix. He also, do not alliw me to try the eyeglasses because they don't made any corrections to them. They, as he said, were waiting for me to compare the prescription of the glasses that I have to purchase in another store store with the ones, as I said before, they couldn't fix. He pretender to tell me how I'm supposed to see. All because, previously ask for a refund. I also have to said that he has no intention to gave me the pair of eyelashes that I buy.

I returned for service to this establishment because my previous experience was excellent. The…read morerepresentative was attentive, caring, and efficient. This was different this time around. Though the person who attended to me was pleasant and tried to give me a good deal because I bought three sets of glasses, the person and the supervisor were more concerned about getting the maximum payment from my insurance. I felt I should have been listened to more. When I returned to pick up the glasses, the same person handed them to me without trying them on to make adjustments. I had to ask for the fabric wipes, and she only gave me 1, saying they did not have any. One of the cases was not the right case for the glasses. It was not a horrible experience, but the care and attention I received in my visit the previous year, was absent.

We have been going there for many years. FOOTNOTES: [1] Colmados were the equivalent of convenience stores or 7-11s, except they had beer and alcohol. Back in the 1970s they were everywhere. Slowly the big Waldmarts, Waldgreens, etc. have replaced them. Open-air, dusty, dirty, not very cold beer and shots of bad rum, pan de aqua, local newspapers, very local produce, and the soul of Puerto Rico. [2] $2.4 million/yr in business; 21 employees [3] Plus thousands of unnumbered, critical article and book reviews for hundreds of journals. [4] They say 50, but they only list 49.
