I hired this company from a friends reccomendation. I met with Micheal, he was very nice. Walked my house gave me an estimate. Luckily he was flexible as I had a tough escrow. Anyway settled on a move date to be completed 11-10-21, my wife and I had the house packed and moved as we are both elderly and handicapped, and thus we could not do the pack/move. His crew was there for 3 days and they were very good at the move. My items were to be stored approx. one month at his facility. I called for the items and they had them delivered to me on 12-27-21 by a third party trucking company. There were 400+ boxes and furniture. It took 7+ hours for 2 guys to unload a semi truck. Right off I noticed a large piece of my desk missing. I called to the Co., and they sent it out a month later. Here's where my problem started: I paid extra for the insurance and was told I had 6 months to put in a claim. As we began unloading the boxes, my wife noticed first and said there were things missing. I dismissed it as we forgot where we put it. THEN it happened to me: my late Mom had given me a franklin mint civil war set in 1980 0r 90 ish, and that was no where to be found! I again contacted Bekins (the issuer of the insurance) and from there have been stonewalled. I realize petty theft happens at the majority of all businesses, but when it's you it hurts, plus the fact we are seniors who are handicapped. I know in my life I will never move again but I can also say: Never with Bekins! read more
