Brittany Adkins is a scam artist. Do NOT pay her a penny until AFTER you actually take a class with her. She has her website set up to take payment, then she does NOT show up to her class. Then when you attempt to call her she does not answer. After repeatedly calling her she will answer and be extremely rude and unprofessional. The address she provides doesn't even exist. I disputed the charges with the bank and she fought and she unfortunately benefited from my $60. You're a terrible person Brittany. I will write on every avenue possible warning people about you and you've also been reported to the BBB. read more

Very unprofessional black woman. Left us standing outside with the classroom locked for well over 45 minutes. When I phoned her to ensure The class was scheduled for 3/12/19 @ 5:15pm, she nonchalantly said "yeah" I then asked if she would be arriving to teach the class and when could her 11 students expect her, and she said "shortly" and hung up in my face !!!!!! She finally arrived, greeted no one and when I approached her, she asked that I not enter her classroom and refused to refund my money. This classLESS Moran needs customer service training 101. I called and every thing she had to say was in a mean and rude manner. I arrived 15 min early and called to ask if they accepted card payments or check and she gave me attitude she assumed I was calling because the place was closed. She answered upset and bothered told me she was on her way and that class didnt start till 15 more minutes. So never got to ask her that question and going somewhere else with better customer service. If a class or date you want is full you can still show up early that day and get in call the Palmdale office they will give you the info on that. I only write positive reviews on Yelp, but unfortunately my experience today was so unprofessional, that I need to take the time to write this negative review so that it won't happen to anyone else. If I had the choice, this place would get 0 stars but unfortunately with Yelp you at least have to put down 1 star.... hence why she gets 1 star from me. This morning I drove to Antelope Valley CPR and First Aide to do a BLS recertification course with Brittany Adkins. I have had her as an instructor in the past and am use to her being a bit late to her courses. Today her class was to start at 10am. I called her a few times in which no one answered and I was declined, unable to leave a VM as well. I needed to know whether the class was cancelled or if I needed to get a refund as I was taking time out of my day to take care of this. At 10:40am Brittany answered my call and yelled "stop calling this phone! I'm almost there! So stop calling on this phone!" I hung up because there was nothing to say to someone that was yelling at me from the other line and a few moments later she was speeding in her car and parked behind a few other cars and got out. When she walked out the first thing she stated was "who was the one that just called me." I said "that was me." Brittany then stated with a ghetto attitude "you know what, do you want a refund?" I stated "actually yes I do." Brittany then instructed me to follow her and as she was in her office she said "you know what I don't have the time to be dealing with peoples shit today." I then stated "you know there's no need to be rude and unprofessional towards me." Brittany became angry in an instant and told me "get out of my fucking office!" And then rushed towards me at the office door where I was standing and yelled in my face "get out of my fucking office right now!" I looked at her and calmly stated "ok, we'll do I get my refund?" And she kept yelling in my face to "get the fuck out and out of her fucking office." So, I walked out without my refund and I heard her apologize to the class and that they would be getting through today with her help. This was a very unprofessional experience. There were about 8-9 other students there not including me that can attest to what happened this morning and that I was calm and never disrespected her during the entire situation. I called multiple times because I needed to know if class was cancelled and because I couldn't leave a message I continued to get a hold of her. There was no reason for Brittany Adkins to speak to me in that manner when she had us all waiting outside for almost and hour. We all have bad days, but as an instructor you should be professional and let people know you are running late. All she had to do was answer her phone and let one of us know this. Not yell at someone for calling to find out if class was cancelled. If you like to be on time and have an instructor that is professional and respectful, please go somewhere else! I was worried at first, couldn't find the location and when I called I didn't know what I was getting myself into, but it turned out to be a great CPR class. The instructor was great, and answered question when needed and was clear on what we needed to do and why we wouldn't pass if we couldn't perform. Every time I called an unprofessional lady would answer and speak to me as if I was dumb. Although that was my experience I decided to proceed to take the class at 10am. On my way I decided to call and confirm my attendance for the class. Unfortunately the class was cancelled, and a 5pm class was offered to me the same day. Once I got to their location the building was closed and it was 5pm so I called the lady again and she explained to me the building will be open at 5:15pm but the way she spoke to me was so unprofessional. I decided that was enough so I went on yelp and found (Patrick's cpr and First Aid) he was amazing, respectful and very intelligent and charged me at a lower price . A poor school overall thats lacking alot. Instructor Played a video and just came out briefly to press play for next section. She was late to class, arrived with her daughter and obviously very unprepared as we all came in and watched her clean tables, equipment and get ready for the class. Equipment was missing or shared due to cost reasons. No books were required (although its an AHA Standard). If you want to actually learn something, dont go here. If you simply Need a Piece of paper and wanna throw some money at her for it, then be my guest. read more

I took this class with instructor Britney, and it was very informational and somewhat brief. I would highly recommend getting certified here.she was very kind. The only thing that felt long was watching the videos for the first aid certifiacation, but there was not much she could do about it. read more

AV CPR & First Aid is definitely the best. I was blown away by the teaching skills that the instructor demonstrated. I tried throwing her a few tough questions, but Brittany sure knows her stuff. Besides the affordability of the class, the best part was the comfortable atmosphere that made learning easy & fun. Also , the equipment was top quality & the facility was clean.
