Dishonest and misleading business practices -- beware before you use Clark's Scrap Metal…read more In September 2025, I called Clark's Scrap Metal about recycling material from a large building renovation. I was told their pricing was listed on their website (clarksscrapmetals.com/scrap-metal ), and it all looked fair. The cost to deliver and pick up a 30-yard dumpster was $350, which would simply be deducted from the proceeds of the scrap we provided. We loaded over 5,500 pounds of valuable material -- copper plumbing, electrical wire, and cast iron -- which they picked up on September 27, 2025. After two weeks of silence, I called to check in. That's when I was told, by someone named Lacy, that the prices on their website don't apply to anything placed in a dumpster. Instead, everything -- copper, aluminum, wire, you name it -- was supposedly worth just $0.04 per pound. Four cents. This directly contradicts what I was told when ordering the dumpster on September 23, and nowhere on their website or roll-off page does it mention such a policy. According to Lacy, "they wouldn't make any money" if they paid the listed rates for dumpster loads -- as if that excuses the deception. We had more than 500 pounds of copper pipe alone, plus similar amounts of wire -- thousands of dollars' worth of material -- all sold off for pennies because they misrepresented their pricing. If only they were upfront when I called, I would have hauled the metal in myself. Instead, they waited until after pickup to rewrite the deal. It's no mystery how a business grows to four locations when it operates this way -- when you mislead customers, you profit at their expense.

I've been using Clark's in research & Jay since 2009. I wash all my cans & the last i put a magnet on them it stuck so it must be metal. I had to go through 9 boxes to remove the cans missed a vets eye appt because of the time ot took. When i collected my check I told the office guy that he could take my name off his list heh said "That's the best news I've heard all day". Well they don't have to worry about seeing me again cause I'll never go back there again. By the way go ahead& hide this review because it is going on my Facebook account.

Great locally owned business.. I have had them for almost 6 years and they have always been on time…read moreand their prices have always been affordable. When I call about a question the staff is always very nice.

Their trash service maybe okay but as far as hiring anyone from CMD or the newly formed Casella…read more(same crew) for septic work....NIGHTMARE! Absolute 100% NIGHTMARE! Every single thing they did at my home was a disaster from start to finish. 1. Hired to run septic to one bathroom in a home with two bathrooms, they hooked up the WRONG bathroom. "Dave" didn't even bother to come inside to even check which bathroom was to be hooked up before starting work. Once the error was pointed out he copped an attitude. 2. Hooked up the sewer pump, never worked right from the start, the alarm goes off constantly. Asked them to come back out, they did, looked at it, repositioned the floats and said it was good. The alarm still goes off constantly. We have to turn the sewer pump off at the breaker before we leave the house so the alarm doesn't go off all day! 3. Every time it rains there is a leak where the sewer pump was installed inside. 4. Hooked up heat tape and it burned through piping causing a major plumbing leak. Could have burned down the house! When asked to fix it they sent out an absolute novice that was given instructions on how to fix the leaking pipe via phone! Now, there's air all through the lines where he did it WRONG! Once again, didn't even bother to come inside to check it and made me feel like I was a major inconvenience to him. 5. Said they would replace heat tape and fix the erosion under my home that their leak caused....have yet to hear back from them and they have no interest in coming back to fix the leak in the airlines the cause by fixing the last leak! I just don't know how a company could possibly be more incompetent, inexperienced, unreliable, untrustworthy, frustrating to work with or downright indifferent. I wouldn't recommend their septic services to my worst enemy! At this point I will have to hire an actual plumbing service to come out and fix everything they messed up and that was EVERYTHING!
