Home to Giganticus Headicus [Kingman AZ] The store is known for its 14-feet tall tiki head on Route 66 but this roadside stop has more than just one show-stopper. It was too bad the store was closed for the season but we checked out some of the other artwork outside the gift shop including a 16-foot statue of a woman (old pictures show that she was supposed to be waving an American flag and carrying a big Route 66 shield)... all that was gone on the "Guardian of Route 66" sculpture. There were a lot of vintage cars too - a Jaguar with the emblem still intact, a corvette police car and not sure what make the others were. Also, see Herbie the Love Bug being towed just in front of the shop... they also have vintage gas pumps outside, even an old pay phone booth. Onto the next stop... let's hit the Mother Road! It was closed when we arrived, but it's a great place to stop, stretch your legs, and take in the art pieces found on its property. Some free advice: When Google Maps recommends the Route 149 Antares Rd, I would consider avoiding it unless your vehicle can handle a dirt road in the middle of nowhere for 30 or so miles. No judgement, just saying. read more

Beautiful place to stop by along Route 66 with cool art. It reminds me somewhat of Burning Man and Mad Max.
