Outside temp was up in the 90s and inside it would not cool under 79. We called Flex Air on a Thursday afternoon and they came out the next day. They took their time to review all the equipment. They listened to what our needs were. They ended up giving us 4 different options to choose from on how to proceed. They showed us a side by side preview of all 4 otptions and then went into details of each one. This included two with repairs and two with full right replacements. They took their time to answer all of our questions not shying away from the positives and negatives of each option. This gave us a clear picture on how we felt we needed to move forward. They came out the following Monday to put in the new equipment. During install they were polite and friendly, again answering any questions we may have had. We have been using it a week now and everything is running great and nice and cool. We also love the new thermostat. I appreciate them being upfront with us. Again listening to what our needs were and they did not try to push some high end products with a bunch of bells and whistles that we did not need. They responded promptly and professionally. After diagnosing the issue, I was told I would likely need a new coil. Instead of just selling me the repair, they did something that speaks volumes about their integrity -- they called the distributor to check the warranty first. That one extra step saved me a significant amount of money. The unit was still covered. They then quoted a very fair labor price, explained everything clearly, and made sure we would be protected as the Texas heat approaches. They even told me if the freon ever dropped, to call them and they would come right back. No runaround. No fine print. Just confidence in their work. Today Andy and Donny arrived with the replacement coil. Within about an hour, everything was installed and running perfectly. He covered his shoes and petted my doggie!! Several days later, we had horrendous storms in my area, and several of my switches and outlets had been zapped and would not work. I called for service, and JAKE S. came the VERY NEXT DAY!!! I had been added to his schedule, so it was later in the evening. Again, Jake was very pleasant, and thorough. Rather than installing the unit properly which included a plenum, they used insulation to cover holes along with mastic. Now we understand why our home is constantly dusty - outside air was being sucked in from the attic without going through the a/c system to be filtered. While the a/c system was being installed I did notice that they used spare/used parts which I immediately brought up to Ron, to the owner and had him re-do that work using the new.
