Their menu changes often but this visit we got the mortadella tartine which was similar to an open face sandwich with mortadella (think adult delicious bologna). It had the right amount of acid and fat which brought everything together. We also got their compressed watermelon salad which was topped with feta and mint. It was a nice break from the fattiness of the tartine. One of our staples in Winston!

During my most recent visit, I ordered the pasta which was supposed to be their version of Carbonara. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed. The sauce was very watery and the egg seemed to be separated so it wasn't really incorporated into the sauce. There were quite a few bits of cooked egg throughout the pasta and there was also hardly any cheese. Instead of a rich, creamy Carbonara flavor, the pasta just didn't have much flavor. I also got the Pineapple and Coconut Entremet. It was good but there wasn't really anything special about it. It was essentially the same coconut crémeux that they've used before, with pineapple. I've tried quite a few of their entremets at this point so maybe that's part of the reason I felt that way. If they come out with a new flavor of crémeux though, I'll definitely want to try it! I didn't get the Iced Mocha Latte this time but that was because the last time I ordered one, I couldn't taste any mocha at all. Even the color looked different. It looked more like a regular latte. I went back and asked if it was actually a mocha and I was told that it was but I honestly didn't think it was. I've had their Iced Mocha Latte many times so I know how it looks and what it normally tastes like. I also haven't seen the person who used to make the lattes anymore. I really loved the ones he made and hope he still works there! There seem to be so many new faces every time we visit now and I rarely see anyone who used to work there. After a couple of disappointing visits, we haven't been going to Bobby Boy as often as we used to. I really hope things improve because I've always enjoyed this place and I'd love to have a better experience next time.

Well after all these years I finally made it in to experience the special place called Angelina's…read moreTea shop. Such a cool place and Wade the proprietor was a fountain of knowledge. He was able to answer any question I had about the 200 or so teas the shop stocks and knows exactly where his merchandise is located. If you are looking for a special piece of tea equipment, accessories, china tea sets, scones, honeys or anything related his shop has it or is going to get it! The teas are from Africa, Japan, China, India, Egypt just everywhere tea is grown. They have tea blends and some teas for medicinal uses as well. On one side of the shop is a myriad of books filling the wall and tables to spend some time if you like sipping on a tea and reading or I'm thinking playing cards. I spent more time there then I thought looking at the teas and merchandise while Wade explained and described the teas I was interested in, a fun way to spend the time getting an education about teas and their back story which I find very interesting. I came in for a tea strainer and maybe a tea or 2 but I left with more knowledge about the tea world and found a friendly shop with just about everything you would need to accompany a tea purchase and a place to linger w a cuppa as some say.

I looked on Yelp and found this little gem. 200 jars of teas from around the world. You can buy by the ounce. They had lots of other stuff too. Noodles, spices, soups, tea sets, cutting boards, etc. Worth a visit.

Such a artsy and definitely industrial kinda place. Outside seating which was lovely on a nice cooler morning when we went, there were a lot of people working or meeting others . There's a lot of space inside also they have a covered patio area inside. They have a a great menu of all house made biscuits and biscuit sandwiches. Also sweet treats. Which all look amazingly delicious and very hard to decide what to get. I got a cappuccino and a biscuit with jam. Which was nice and warm and buttery, the jam is also house made and really good smeared in the biscuit. I wish they had skim milk, but they only offer oat and whole. So I had oat and had a really nice coffee! My friend had a cold brew and the espresso cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was picture beautiful! I tried it and it was really good except neither of us could detect any espresso! Still really good regardless! Enjoyed eating, drinking and chatting here. Great cool unique place!
