Dwynne Belton replaced our roof and did a great job…read more While the other vendor we asked was trying to sell us on installing powered attic fans in our roof for ventilation, Dwynne instead suggested a passive ridge vent that was quiet and effective. While the other suggested putting new shingles on top of our old shingles, Dwynne recommended pulling the old shingles to address any structural damage underneath (and boy did we find some) and to extend the life of the new roof. He took care to make sure that everything was done well and correctly, and even suggested replacing our old and ugly chimney stack with a much smaller, more modern, and much more attractive one at no extra cost. He made sure that everything was flashed and sealed correctly. His team worked quickly, worked well, and cleaned everything up. A couple years later, we had him replace the roof on our new house. Doing our due diligence, we also got quotes from two other vendors - one never gave us a quote, while the other came in significantly higher and insisted that because our roof couldn't support a ridge vent we needed to install powered exhaust fans in our roof for ventilation (what is it with some roofing contractors trying to sell roof fans?). Not only was Dwynne Belton's quote much lower, but he was able to install a passive roof vent even without a ridge to work with, which provides all the ventilation we need without generating noise or consuming electricity. His crew removed and replaced all the damaged and rotten wood that was sitting under our old roof, sealed and flashed everything, and again cleaned everything up when they were done.

He sent out a Russian subcontractor who built the foundation completely wrong. Wrong materials, not attached correctly, etc. Another worker had to come out and tear it out. I am now left with a hole in the ground. He kept promising to send out workers, but they never show up. They left the yard a complete mess. Dan Berkey is unprofessional and a pathological liar. I found out that he doesn't pay his workers and has several lawsuits against him pending. Believe he used my money to get his "girlfriend" into the country from overseas and buy another Land Rover. Really! Stay as far away from Berkey and this company as possible. He'll just steal your money and destroy your property!!

We wanted a small extension done on our dining room, was suppose to start in April of 2021. Didn't start digging foundation until June 2021. Had hole in the ground until October of 2021. Finally poured concrete for the floor but can't lay hard wood floor over it because of lumps, bumps holes etc. Have to have it fixed before we can lay hardwood floor. He never came out to check on progress, never came out to see if done properly. Only showed up to get a check. Just now finished room in February of 2022. Only wanted a an 8 x 14. Took a year only because of constant phone calls from our end. Still is not what we wanted. But wanted to be done with him. Please do not settle for him. You will regret it. He's been fired from other jobs. Just look at other reviews.

After…read moreTim provided us estimates for both jobs, we let him know that we'd like to move forward and get started on the screen renovation right away. Tim said he'd get back to me and let me know when he could get us on the schedule. That was a month ago. I can't speak the quality of their work, but I can objectively say there is a fair chance the company will waste you time and then not show you the respect of calling you back. I understand if they were too busy for the job or didn't want it for some reason, but not why Tim disrespected us, wasted our time, and acted unprofessionally by agreeing to do the jobs in the first place. I'd recommend starting with another contractor with more reviews and an established reputation of professionalism. Edit: (Post Owner Reply) My review of Hallmark is similar because I had a similar experience. I described my experience accurately and honestly in both cases. You didn't challenge any of the material details of my review. A semantic argument about the definition of "ghosting?" I don't consider you telling me you'd get me on the schedule after accepting your bid and then not scheduling the work "a mutual dodge." I consider it an objectively unprofessional waste of my time. You were secretly offended by me getting multiple bids on a large job? Really? At the time, you said it was fine. I guess that wasn't honest. The bottom line is, attention to small details makes or breaks a job when it comes to home renovation. When a contractor shows you they can't get large details right (Like remembering to schedule your job after meeting and multiple calls discussing the job), that speaks to how likely they are to get the small details of the work right. This fact is something that might inform a lot of people's decision when choosing a contractor. Thank you for admitting you dropped the ball.

David Teutsch "Owner" came to our house and we spent about an hour walking through our home and showing what we would like done (not a small job). David was nice enough although he seemed less than engaging. He said he would get us an estimate in a couple of days. We checked in a couple of times over the next two or three weeks with no response or estimate. After emailing him again he finally replied that he would have us an estimate the following morning. Needless to say we waited ANOTHER week and still heard nothing from him. I sent him a final email explaining my frustrations and he ignored me again. I would suggest you not waste time or energy with such an unprofessional company. I would give ZERO stars if possible!

David and his crew renovated most of my fire and smoke damaged home including the bathrooms, kitchen, basement, living room, dining room and more and they did such a wonderful job it looks like I have a brand new home. I am especially impressed with the tile kitchen floor, crown molding, and high quality drywall & paint work. David and his men were a pleasure to work with too. They arrived on time every day, and worked day, night, and weekends whenever they needed to in order to stay on schedule so that we could move back into our home. I love these guys, they do really great work! I love my new home, thanks Dave!
