Tonight we decided to try Annie's Cafe. The atmosphere seems welcoming, and the menu is enticing. I ordered a chingona burger, which the menu stated normally just comes with potato chips. The in-restaurant menu gives the option of ordering fries, onion rings, or a cup of soup for an extra charge ($4.25 for soup). So I ordered a cup of the French onion with my burger. My wife ordered the Monte Cristo crepe with the French onion. I really enjoyed the burger, which was spicy and flavorful. My wife did not like the Monte Cristo crepe, which was lacking in texture and not very tasty. Apparently a Monte Cristo doesn't work as a crepe? The French onion soup was a glutenous ball as the bread became incredibly soggy in the broth. But the broth itself was flavorful. The food was mixed, but the bigger problem came when it was time to pay the bill. I was shocked when it turned out to be almost $20 higher than expected. I was charged $12.95 for each soup. I pointed out the discrepancy and the server took one of the soup charges off the bill. I pointed out that this was still an overcharge based on the listed price of $4.25 on the menu, but apparently the "cup of soup" on the menu did not include French onion, which is something that should have been clearly shown on the menu or at least explained by the server when I ordered it. Not wishing to argue the matter further I paid the bill with an abbreviated tip and left. Given the lack of communication and the exorbitant prices charged for middling food, we will not be back. read more

Annie's recently started serving dinners, in addition to the regular breakfast and lunch fare. We came in on a Friday night and were seated right away. The eight page menu leans towards French inspired food, but plenty of other dishes are available as well. The iced tea service was surprising. A small carafe of freshly brewed hot tea is served on top of a larger carafe with ice. Then a tall ice filled glass is placed alongside it all. Very effective and a great presentation. For the main meal, I ordered the flank steak crepe. Really it was more of a flank steak salad, but with a very good cheese filled crepe on the bottom. First time here. Place is decorated on the fun side. It's pretty trendy. No booths all table seating. Has lots of stairs and even a ramp. All marked well, but for low mobility folks this could be hairy. Came for breakfast. I had the biscuit & gravy plate. Wife had sides of eggs, avocado & toast. I had potatoes also. Food was good. Nothing super over the top. Place was busy. Staff was over ran with to much to keep up with. As other reviews noted. Drink your water slowly... you probably won't get more. As noted o other reviews prices are pretty high for everything. $38 for breakfast in a non tourist area is over priced. I know from being in industry it's hard to make ends meet. That said you have to find ways to temper prices with service & food. Probably wouldn't be back. read more

Much bigger on the inside than expected. Emma was our waitress and did a great job. I tried the French Hot Chocolate and enjoyed it. My hamburger was good but for $13 I would hope so! It came with chips, if you wanted to "upgrade" to fries or onion rings it was another $3-$4. My wife tried the french onion soup and house salad with a slice of focaccia bread. The salad was fine and had a good vinaigrette. The soup was terrible, no flavor. It's like they forgot to season it. We both enjoy French onion soup and have never tasted one this bad. I went in at 6 pm and waited 15 minutes to be served despite being one of three groups in the facility. As soon as I sat down, I showed my waitress the promotion they were running on Facebook that I was there to receive a buy one get one burger. I said which two burgers I'd like to get and waited 10 more minutes. The owner came out and had me pull the promotion back up. Here is all of the wording of the promotion: " Valid: Wednesday, July 8, 2026 Buy 1 Get 1 Free Burger buy any burger get 1 quarter pound cheeseburger free, up to $10.95 in value, upgrades and add ons extra. One-time use. One per party. Cannot be combined with other offers. Show this to our staff." The owner explained to me that I could only receive the smallest possible burger, which is $10.95. That's valid and fair. She then asked which of the "craft" burgers, which are twice as expensive, I would like to purchase. I said I would like to buy the $10.95 burger, since it is buy one, get one free. She said it had to be one of the larger, more expensive craft burgers, since they only run the promotion to get people to spend more than they are receiving. I was pretty surprised she phrased it that way, and I said that nowhere in the promotion does it include the word 'craft' anywhere. She said that because I had placed an order i had to choose one of those two. I told her that the moment I sat down I explained which promotion I was utilizing and showed the staff. She said since she was the owner, she could add whatever she wanted as a requirement and that I could pick a burger twice as expensive or she reserves the right to refuse service. I chose to leave. I had eaten here once before and thought the food was entirely disappointing, but was willing to give it another shot since they were offering what I was lead to believe was a fair deal through their false advertising. Went to Annie's today for lunch with my mom while I'm visiting from out of state. This place is cute, the food is tasty and fresh, and overall the service is friendly. We were there for quite a long time though with tables being able to eat their meal start to finish before we got food. The food was worth the wait, the communication could have been a little better or the check-in to let us know we would be delayed, otherwise an overall good experience. We did appreciate the proactive response from the staff about the wait time and that everything didn't taste like it was forgotten in the window. read more

We went to Annie's Crepes and Cake for breakfast. This place is surprisingly upscale for Bountiful as we don't have many fancy places to dine. The restaurant was busy but the service team was very attentive. My only nitpick would be that our drinks arrived after our food, but we had water so it wasn't a huge deal. I got the margarita crepe with breakfast potatoes and fresh squeezed orange juice. My husband got the monte christo and a latte, and my daughter got the Nutella bubble waffle sans everything but bananas. The food was fresh, delicious, and well plated. Our bill came in around $80 with tip, but the food quality, service, and atmosphere make this place worth the price. I'm excited to come back for tea service some day. We have been to Annie's a couple of times for our family girls Brunch (10-14 of us) and they have gone above and beyond to accommodate us. Our server Anna has been friendly, efficient and has made us look forward to coming again. Absolutely in love. We held a bridal shower here and reserved the tea room. The owner and staff were friendly and very helpful and it was a huge success. The space is beautiful and quaint. I happened to be in the area for my first time, when this place caught my eye. I was in a breakfast-y mood, so I decided to give it a try... and I'm glad I did.
