Fidelity froze my accounts and they are refusing to release my assets to me. I have a home mortgage payment that is due and has been set up for automatic payment out of my account. With my accounts frozen and no access to my money I can't pay my mortgage payment. After much conversation Fidelity will send money to my bank to cover today's mortgage payment but no more than that and when it will arrive they can't tell. They are refusing to give me timely access to my money. Complaint goes to the regulators next.

Saw the TV Show, it talked about everything I need re accessing my 401k, taxes, Medicare Premiums…read moreetc. Made an appointment. Got asked to bring a bunch of tax, 401 info. When I arrived, you can't park outside unless you use Vallet parking, the guy I saw never once asked to see the info I'd been told to bring, Stewart Willis was sitting in his office and made an excuse to pop in and say hi. The advisor made a few notes , most of my questions were about taxes, IRA conversions, avoiding Medicare Premiums like I'd seen on the tv show. He said he wasn't a tax guy but they had them and it was too close to tax time for them to do my taxes. He talked about investing my money and I had to ask what they charged. I was told I would get an email in a few days re a plan for investing. Never got an email or any contact. After several weeks I called them, was eventually put through to the guy I had seen who apologized for letting me fall through the cracks. He sent me an email requesting secure information most of which I had taken to the meeting. Didn't mention accessing funds or IRA conversions etc. I didn't send anything and have heard nothing since! My appointment was in March!! Draw your own conclusion re what you see on the show and what they actually want you to do!!

Once I retired,…read moreI moved my entire company 401K over to a Morgan Stanley managed IRA - primarily managed by Kyle Nelson and Chris Stocks. In my initial meeting with them they said all the right things, but after leaving my entire portfolio with them for over 18 months, these guys just don't measure up. Even have a fantastic year in the market in 2017 (many managers up 15%+), my IRA account was only returning 10.6% and one short term account I let them manage actually lost $6K. Although they want to blame my poor return on allocation, they did not adjust my allocation the entire year in 2017. They also advocate they are more about capital protection over return, but in Q1 of 2018 (where the market was mostly even) my account was down between 1 -2%. I decided to close my account and move it to another wealth manager (Edward Jones) and I'm hit with several account closure fees. I'd be very leery having these guys manage your retirement account - there are so many other/better options.
