Dr. Czernik is professional, and goes out of her way to solve the problem. My husband has a rare skin condition, PEMPHIGUS VULGARIS, and Czernik, according to the research, is the one to go to. People from around the world come to the US to get treated by Czernik, so we considered ourselves lucky.
In the beginning, we were hopeless. This skin condition got to my husband really badly, but Czernik assured us that we would get through this. I love that she said "we", which means she really made herself a part of the whole situation. She took control of it, and now my husband is good, and everything is under control.
She left Mt. Sinai, and is now in Wilton, and we are following her wherever she goes. For a while we were using the doctor that replaced her at Mt. Sinai, but even after treatments (which mimicked the treatment program Czernik put together for my husband) we didn't feel like it helped. It really goes to show that there is no one formula to bring us closer to healing. That her expertise, knowledge, and gumption is what brings solutions.
There seem to be any complaints on here about Czernik. Mostly it seems for minor things like skin growths, or scars...certainly NOT life threatening situations. Don't mean to judge, but way to ruin someone's reputation for your minor incision. If you have real skin problems; problems that threaten life, this doctor is the one to go to.
It seems she is challenged by big problems, and she goes out of her way to find solutions, and make a big impact. Before leaving Mt. Sinai, she asked my husband if a group of interns could come in and observe. For the sake of education, we allowed it. Czernik was explaining everything to the interns, so that moving forward, these 10 interns were now more well-equipped to handle patients with life-threatening conditions such as my husbands.
If you have a serious skin issue, and you're in the journey to find a way out, Czernik is the perfect doctor to partner with. read more
