You should never come to a place hoping to find something specific. Most of the times, the…read moreJewels that you find tends to be something you're not looking for. I've been in here a few times and normally I have no expectations of finding anything. But the last few times, I have walked out with some fun things. A pair of shorts that still had the tags on. I don't think it's been worn or it could have been used for a styling shot. And this visit, I actually found some pieces that I already had a collection of so it was amazing to add to it. Never did I think I would find something like that. Also, a pair of lamps that looked amazing and falls with the mid century theme. Prices are great on some items while others, you think they're ridiculous. I also found out that weekday deals happen. This week anything with a blue tag was half off and that was for all departments. Another thing that was great to know, any of the electrical items has a week grace period incase you need to return it. That's something nice to know. Today score, a pair of mid century lamps for 29.99 for the pair. There's a few locations scattered throughout the valley which is nice. Also this location has a donation center where you could just drive up and drop things off. I've dropped off loads of things prior. If you like treasure hunting, this could be fun for you. Who doesn't love a good deals.

Sometimes 5 stars isn't enough. God bless the people who made the Hanson House exist. My wife and I…read morelive in Joshua Tree and just gave birth to our firstborn at Desert Regional. It was suggested that we deliver down here as it has a NICU (just in case). Unfortunately, "just in case" became a reality and our boy is in the NICU. After a few conversations with the on staff social worker at the hospital and a few of the nurses and doctors, we were guided to the Hanson House as a place to stay nearby so we didn't have to drive an hour between home and hospital. My wife and I were completely brought to tears at the accommodations and hospitality that we were greeted with and given as we navigate through these tough days. Thank you.

So happy to have found this place 2 1/2 years ago. The last…read morelocal bull terrier rescue up north of LA had closed, due to the death of the lovely couple who had saved so many bullies over the years. Thus I was at a loss as to how to bring another bullie into my life after 15 years with Tigre, placed from this rescue. Someone online was still manning their site, and informed me about this rescue out in the desert. So I headed out early one Saturday morning with a friend and a crate, hoping.... The people running this place were SO patient and informative. I spent the entire morning having them bring out a number of candidates. Lots of bullies to visit with, but as I am a "single" bullie mom that works, I really wanted a bullie that was a little mellower (over 2 years old), and also, 100% dog friendly, as Tigre was hit or miss ;)) Overwhelmed by all the bullies, I asked which one they felt would be the best fit, and they both said the same name, at the same time. Its 2 1/2 years later, and (black) Mamba has been the perfect #3 bullie. LOVES seeing other dogs on our walks, and although 60lb of Bullie love, has convinced the smaller neighborhood dogs that he is cool - So fun when he gets all excited and does his fasties to impress ;) Bottom line - I highly recommend this rescue. Yes, their background check was quite a bit higher than I had gone thru in the past (mentioned in the 1 star review which prompted my review today), but it was done for the right reasons.

And Ms Moxie found her way into my heart. The Paws staff really know what they are doing, saying "NO" to my first two choices because they were watching out for me and my specific needs and Moxies forever fit! That's the kind of rescue work that changes lives. Now I have a new love bug who is already spoiled and knows she is home. Roxy would be proud. I gave her 12 years of constant companionship and now Ms Moxie gets the same full-hearted love thanks to the wonderful dedicated staff at The California Paws rescue. *Send Me an Angel*…read more My family & I have donated lots of household items, clothing, furniture, and nick-knacks to this Angel View store thru the years. Angel View has saved us from more hassle than we had already encountered, if Angel View didn't pick up some of the big heavy items -- opposed to other items we boxed up and brought to this store ourselves. I've read some negative Yelp reviews claiming Angel View overcharges for merchandise, sold to the public at the store. I don't agree with those comments. Their prices are very reasonable. Some are even too cheap. Tho everything is secondhand and used, you get what you pay for, and they offer great deals on mostly everything. What I do know? Angel View has lots of overhead running a business and their charitable organization. Just because they're a "non profit" doesn't mean they're not entitled to cover all their costs and expenses. When you contact Angel View to pick up heavy objects for donation, you speak to live human beings who are not working for free. Angel View gladly sends out one of their big trucks to your home or place of business, to pick up your heavy objects -- saving you the time & effort of having to do it yourself or barrow a bigger vehicle or rent your own truck to get rid of all the larger items you don't know what it do with. Angel View has to pay for those trucks, the gas, the maintenance, the auto insurance, the workers driving the trucks that do all the heavy lifting, so you don't have to. Angel View stores have team members & employees who work there for a living. Running any business no matter if it's a "non profit" or not, ain't free. They have rent and bills to pay, along with utilities, supplies, workers compensation insurance, and several other expenses that most don't realize, who never owned or ran a business of their own. This Angel View store is larger than some of their others, it's very clean and well organized. And their staff is friendly and helpful. I've made a purchase at their other location in Palm Desert that I will write a separate review on their Yelp page. I'm very grateful & thankful for Angel View because they're providing a much needed service for a charitable cause. Shop till you drop...
