I went to Jaeny for Botox and Filler treatment and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I'm…read morea Bay Area native and I've been doing Botox and Filler treatments for over a decade. I can be overly picky and detail-oriented, to a fault, but Jaeny exceeded even my highest expectations--which I don't even realistically expect to be met especially having undergone these procedures so many times before with other providers at other businesses, etc. I'm rating this business and Jaeny 5 stars, first and foremost, because of the level of unmatched skill (in my opinion), experience, and expertise that Jaeny brings, which showed in the results I've achieved, and secondarily, I'm rating this business 5 stars, because certain values/traits such as honesty, integrity and customer service are just as important to me. Specifically, the office staff were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable; and I also appreciate the upfront and transparent pricing the business offers. Pricing itself isn't necessarily my utmost concern (I'm willing to pay more for above and beyond results), but price transparency, consistency, and overall honesty in dealings and practices as a business are so vitally important to me, on personal principles, and it was apparent from my very first interaction with the business that this is exactly how they operate. (They also happen to offer very reasonable and market-aligned pricing, along with discounted packages, etc., for those wondering.) I want to conclude with my sincerest compliments and gratitude to the one-and-only Jaeny (because you are so uniquely skilled at what you do) for thoroughly indulging me by listening to everything I had to say, and what I was looking to achieve, looking at all of the photos I brought in, lol--going above and beyond to truly understand what I was looking to accomplish, and then fulfilling each and every single one of my expectations, beyond what I had hoped. I'm so glad I found this place and I look forward to coming back!

I wanted to share my disappointing experience with Dr. Monique Wilson at Kalia Dermatology, in…read morehopes that it may help others considering laser treatments for melasma. I spent nearly $4,000 on three laser treatments, creams, and consultation fees, only to end up with skin that looked considerably worse for about six months before finally returning to its original condition. My first laser treatment initially showed promising results, but within weeks, my melasma returned darker than before, accompanied by broken capillaries and increased redness on my cheeks. Subsequent treatments focused largely on addressing these new issues, with little improvement. What disappointed me most was the lack of transparency about potential adverse outcomes. Dr. Wilson initially made me feel confident that my melasma could be successfully treated, but the tone of our conversations changed a full 180 degrees after the first treatment, when things didn't go as expected. These risks had never been adequately explained to me beforehand. I had also specifically asked whether I could pay for just one session rather than committing to all three upfront, but was told that wasn't an option. In hindsight, this made the experience even more frustrating, as I felt financially locked into treatments that ultimately made my skin worse. I understand that everyone's skin reacts differently, and others may have better results. However, after spending so much money with such disappointing results, I had hoped for some empathy or gesture of goodwill, whether a partial refund or complimentary corrective treatment. Neither was offered. Ultimately, I feel let down not just by the lack of results, but by the lack of transparency and follow-through. I left feeling that the practice was more concerned with collecting payment than ensuring patient satisfaction.

I was led to a private room fairly quickly, though I did make an appointment, Alice's assistant helped me complete consent forms and paperwork and then Alice joined me afterwards. I came in for some Botox today and mentioned I was unhappy with my current Medspa because I feel like my injections have not been lasting long and also feel like the injector have been missing spots that I had concerns about. Alice was very knowledgeable and recommended Daxxify to me and even explained the science behind it (though it flew over my head even though I nodded and made "mmhmm" sounds" ) and it was very much appreciated. However, I was sold on how much quicker it takes effect and also the pureness of the toxin. (In a good way lol) Alice was also helpful in suggesting other procedures for my other concerns that I will definitely be coming back for !

Because of the age of the scar, most of the treatment seemed to be microneedling, and very little--if any--Dysport appeared to be used. At my last session, I was shown an empty syringe and told that everything had been used, but that did not match what I observed during the appointment. If I paid for a full syringe, I feel I should have been able to use any remaining product in another area or receive a clear explanation of exactly how it was used. I hope the office improves transparency about products, dosage, and charges so clients feel informed and comfortable.
