She actually gave me a recipe for one of the spices that was recommended to me. Very excited to go back to Los Angeles and try what we purchased, even more excited to come back to the San Francisco area and come back to this Oaktown spice shop. I found street parking quite easy. On the menu is their signature sandwich which I couldn't even pronounce at first and later figured out that it was the acronym for the sequence of colors in the rainbow: Roy. G. Biv. DUH! They taught us this in kindergarten but I guess I was too busy flirting with Jonathan...this adorabley cute hapa boy (with the Jonathan Bower bowl haircut) that was in my class. Hmmm, I wonder if he's still single?! Back to that signature sandwich...the Roy. G. Biv. - 7 minute egg, herbed butter, cheddar, pickled veggies, brioche ($10). And, what's a breakfast sandwich without bacon (+$3) and avocado (+$2) so I added them both. Gluten-free bread available for +$2. Eye of the Avocado also sells a handful of pastries and coffee.
