I had an amazing experience at this office. As soon as I entered the clinic I was welcomed at the front desk. The check-in and check-out process was a breeze. I was called back to see the doctor in less than five minutes. Dr. Matthew Hilburn was great. He greeted me with a smile and handshake to welcome me to the practice. He actively listened to my concerns and showed great attention to find me relief with my symptoms. He ordered testing and was spot on with his observations of me and my symptoms. Amazing quality of care. The office is clean and has state of the art medical equipment. Dr. Hilburn shook my hand again when I left and guaranteed to find me relief. I will start off with saying I love Annapolis Hospital (Anne Arundel Medical Center). Everything was going well until one of their doctors went on medical leave, Dr. Overstreet (she was the best). After she went on leave, we had a few appointments scheduled but my son became sick and we couldn't make it. Can't call during the weekend or close of business to inform them that you can't make it because they are not wired that way, fine. However, to be told that you can no longer come to the practice with no warning is beyond insane. They claim they left a voicemail, but the only voicemail I have from them says to call back so that we can reschedule. No warning. Following that, they added a note saying that he can no longer return. So, the lesson I learned from this experience is to bring my son to his appointment, even if he has the flu, COVID, or some other contagious virus. Notated! read more

10.17.23 Saw Dr. Shaigany today, while in Aruba I was having an issue with my right ear I couldn't hear very well. First I though it was just wax so I tried to clean them out and it didn't help so I went to the store and bought wax removal I used it a few times but i still couldn't hear. Then I was flying home and when we were getting ready to land at MCO my ears started to hurt very bad extremely painful. Had a short layover and flew to BWI this was even worse when landing I was hurting. The went to the urgent care and was told both ears were infected the person put me on antibiotics it got a little better I went back a different person told me it's still infected and gave me stronger antibiotics, this time I felt the infection kind of getting better. So I made an appointment with Annapolis ENT, Dr Shaigany is very nice I explained everything to him and he looked in my ears and said they look fine. Mean while it sounds like a broken speaker or for those that remember the sound of the needle on a record while try to select a song sliding the needle across the record in both ears and crackling when ever I swallow. Trying some meds for a while to see if it helps get better have to return in a few weeks and take a hearing test. Look forward to seeing him again. read more

I went to see Doctor Andrew Johnson in October of 2024. At that point, I had been dealing with severe pain in the left side of my neck when swallowing for over 2 months. It was unbearable pain, and I could tell something was very wrong. I was send to this office by my PCP. Andrew Johnson, came into the room for about 2 minutes, told me that it would go away on its own, and referred me to a physical therapist. I was crying by the end of the visit because it was so overwhelming to be in severe pain and be told that it's nothing. I ended up doing research and finding a much better doctor in Columbia Maryland. She diagnosed me with omohyoid muscle syndrome, which is a torn muscle in my neck! I saw her a week ago (keep in mind, it's now been 4 months since my visit with Andrew Johnson and it did not go away on its own) and she was so understanding and could tell it was that immediately, as the muscle is visibly protruding from my neck. The condition is unlikely to heal. I will be getting botox soon to relax the muscle, and may need surgery in the future. Not sure how Andrew Jackson missed it! Not sure what would be malpractice, but this doctor caused me to be in severe pain for months when there are treatments available. If you are looking for a doctor to treat a neck, swallowing, vocal cord, or throat disorder, please go see Doctor Elizabeth Guardiani in Columbia MD! So I have really bad nose bleeds. I won't gross you out in how grotesque they can be but let's just say it can make a huge mess. When I was younger I had my nose cauterized because there were exposed blood vessels on my left side that caused these violent nose bleeds. I was maybe 5? I didn't go here though I lived in another town and have been living in the Annapolis area for over 10 years now (I am now in my mid 20s for clarity). So in October 2019, I experienced these violent nosebleeds again. At first I didn't pay it much mind because the weather was getting colder and I figured because of climate change that it was triggering my nose to be dryer than usual. But them it started getting more severe to the point that someone thought I might've had Lukemia. But eventually I told my mom and she explained the story which I previously stated in the previous paragraph. My aunt recently told me that my you best cousin experienced the same issue as me and that she went to a doctor in Annapolis, Dr. Som and said he was very knowledgeable and kind and could fix me up. I set up an appointment and went today. It was my first appointment at this office so I came 30 minutes early to fill out any patient forms. The staff was very kind and attentive and I was actually inside the back of a room as soon as my appointment was set to being most places make you wait 5-30 minutes after your initial appointment so it's great to see they are on top of getting their patients in on time. The waiting room was decorative and upbeat which is great considering how severe some of the cases they probably take can be. Dr. Som was also a very swell guy. I was in and out in 20 minutes and he managed to cauterize my nostril and he was very detailed in what was wrong and the type of stuff he was doing in the procedure. read more

All of sudden voila !! they can give me an exam now. So far OK, they give me the test results and tell me I need a hearing aid evaluation and give me a number to schedule that. I've been calling the number now for 3 WEEKs and always get voicemail. Tried going to the "Contact Us" link on their website to email them but there is no option to email them. Had turbinate reduction. The surgery itself went well, and I recommend the doctor. But I would never recommend this place due to the surgery center's billing center. There was an issue with COBRA and the doctors office got paid when it was resolved and even said not to feel bad because this happens. But Christie of the surgery center gives different info on each call, accused me multiple times of not taking bills seriously, expected me to pay $8000 out of pocket though I had insurance, accused me of not having insurance (yet see that the doctors office got paid from insurance) and even said maybe I "shouldn't have had the surgery since I can't pay my bills", insisted they've been calling every two weeks for months though I can prove with phone records this is not the case, and more. All this *after* I said the insurance would be giving them a call soon. And apparently there is no one else to talk to. I should have had the surgery but not here. I had a deviated septum fixed and I was not informed prior to the surgery that after the surgery, there would be likely multiple visits required with the surgeon to "clean" the nose and remove splints that would COST NEARLY AS MUCH AS THE SURGERY FOR EVERY VISIT! Bad experience. I've had hearing loss accumulating for years and wear a hearing aid. Wanted to find a practice that I could build a relationship with as I age and my hearing continues to deteriorate. My experience with Dr Lee Kleiman was so unsatisfactory I will not be back. EVER. He is snarky and condescending. Thought I was coming in for a baseline exam- he flashed a light in both ears for 1 second and then talked down to me for another few minutes. Find someone else for you ENT. read more

While I like the doctor I see and I find him very polite, knowledgeable, and has good bedside manners. But he is always in a rush. The staff at the front desk has been a mess for years. Then there is the scheduling. It's terrible and has been for years. I have had to have a conversation with this practice before. It's impossible to be see. Dr says follow up in 4 weeks. Next appointment is like 8 weeks out. I just tried to call and schedule an appointment and was informed the next available is 5 weeks out. I am suffering here and that's the best the can do? I need to schedule a surgery that was discussed previously but I didn't do it because I didn't have time and now that I have the time I have to wait 5 weeks to get seen. read more

Use Annapolis ENT! I have 4 young children who have had a combined 15 surgeries through Annapolis ENT; all Dr. Som. Numerous sets of tubes, adenoids, tonsils. Office staff: Their office staff is wonderful. If you have any concerns every when calling they will get ahold of your provide SO quickly. Surgery scheduler: Michelle is incredible. She is so kind and helpful and makes sure to take care of things. Nurses: Couldn't love them more. Especially the ones in the surgery center. When you walk in after your child has surgery you will find them taking care of your child like they are their own DOCTORS: I can't say enough positive things about the team there; especially Dr. Som. They are truly wonderful and treat each patient so wonderfully. I have been going there 6 years-pre pandemic, during and now as we move away from it. They have handled all the situations professionally and wonderfully. Their offices/surgery center are all re done and VERY clean! read more

Beware! They bill for a surgical procedures for simply looking into your nose! Apparently the insurance company allows this billing code scam. Meaning, according to the billing office at Annapolis ENT "anytime an instrument is introduced into the body, it's a surgical procedure." Hmmmm, I don't agree because looking into someone ear or putting a stick on the tongue to look into a throat doesn't qualify as a surgical procedure, which the billing office agreed. Also, Dr Pardo did look in my ear the same time that he looked into nose. My co-pay each time I went to Dr Pardo, $150 each. Fed up with visit after visit and spending hundreds of dollars, I went to an ENT in DC several months later, Dr Pickens. Guess what? She not only looked into my nose, pulled huge blockages of wax out of my ear, she sprayed a solution inside of my nose, requested tests and then spent time talking with me about the outcome. She even cauterized a vein in my nose. My co-pay was $30 each visit and I only had two visits. read more

If I could give 10 STARS for this practice, I would! I have been a patient of Annapolis ENT Associates for over 16 years. When looking for doctors, reviews are extremely important, especially now, during these crazy times. This practice has saved my life (literally) and have taken incredible care of my family for a myriad of health issues (including severe allergies, especially) these past 16+ years. I would also highlight that the office(s) themselves are lovely and the office staff is incredibly kind and compassionate. The Bedside manners of Drs. Pardo, Som and Olenec are as if you are speaking with a family member and they make one feel at ease (especially our children). Their incredible knowledge, expertise and compassion gives one a sense of calm during the visit. Bedside manner is indeed important, however, what is MOST important is the KNOWLEDGE, EXPERTISE, EXPERIENCE, CARE and FOLLOW-UP that I get with this practice. The doctors are clear and concise in their explanations, allowing me (a "doctor mom") to understand fully, the conditions and care that is being taken. The billing staff is easy to speak with and have taken the time to explain in full detail any questions that I may have with regards to insurance payments when needed. Our son had severe allergies and his allergy shots were given with ease and ZERO issues. And, when our son departed for university, Dr Olenec's staff had all of his serums packaged properly for the flight across the country. They also took care of the paperwork that was needed to continue receiving his serums. This was a huge relief for me. The care and regime taken for our son's severe allergies was EXCEPTIONAL! Becuase of this practice and care taken, our son can now eat fruits and vegetables without severe allergic reactions!! I have recommended this practice to many friends and family over the years and all have been extremely happy(and incredibly grateful). I was really late due to heinous traffic. I was already upset and when I called the person on the phone was nasty. Instead of offering to reschedule me she said that if the nurses could fit me.in, they would. I proceeded to drive another 90 minutes to get there. I was told by the same nasty woman that they wouldn't help.me and I had to wait an additional 3 months for testing so I can get my shots. I was sent away with a referral for respiratory testing Instead of what I actually need. read more

My appointment for my baby boy with the audiology department was wonderful. They completed his test quickly and the staff were competent. The audiologist told me his test came back with no problems. I was the shuffled to Dr. Overstreet during an international pandemic with a young baby, only for her to market her services to me even though the test cane back with no issues, and the audiologist explained that to me. When I asked Dr. Overstreet for the reason I needed to see her, she said it was to "introduce herself" in case we ever need an ENT doctor. I was charged $250 for that marketing. She performed no actual service. This place is a total scam. Do not bring your children here and give them business. They will overcharge you. They are now withholding money from my HSA for that service-less visit. read more

Sometimes doctors offices ask you to fill out forms before you come, and then hand you the same forms anyway. I filled out forms at home, and they had that in their records. Everyone was pleasant. I was taken back on time. Dr. Som is a low-intervention doctor. He might have to shoot some numbing stuff up your nose to pass a camera down. Yes, it feels and tastes awful BUT it also contains, I guess, a powerful decongestant. My sinuses were clear for HOURS afterwards! Even the next day they felt clearer. Absolutely the worst group to work with. I recently lost hearing in one of my ears and have been trying for months to get an MRI completed. This is when the poor patient support issues started. I am completely claustrophobic and need to take a sedative in order to cope with the tight space in the MRI machine. With the doctor knowing that I'm claustrophobic he requested an Open MRI however the imaging firm advised that the type of scan that the doctor was requesting needed to be in a closed MRI machine. I requested numerous times for the Dr Hilburn to assist me with scheduling but the only communication I was able to get was through the front desk which was a complete waste of time. I must add that the girls at the front desk are not pleasant to speak with on the phone at all. So let me get back to the doctors now, since my first visit I recently got a sharp pain in my good ear and with already losing total hearing in one ear I was a bit concerned of going completely deaf. I called the office and was actually able to get an emergency visit scheduled for the next day with Dr. Johnson. At this point I'm thinking that they may not be as bad as I thought, wrong! I spent more time in the waiting room then in the examination room. The doctor evaluated me and within 3 minutes he said it's a TMJ issue and to see a dentist. With that said I saw a dentist the next and was diagnosed as not having any TMJ issues. Might I add that I could not eat for 2 days due to the completely unbearable pain in my ear/face. The day after going to the dentist the pain was still there so I decided to got the ER. And would you believe it within 2 minutes the ER nurse said that I have an ear infection and then proscribed my antibiotics which cleared everything up. The ER nurse what completely shocked that an ENT doctor did not see the infection. You would think that an ENT doctor could diagnose a simple ear infection. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! DO NOT GO HERE! If I could give a 0 rating, I would! I made an appt with Dr. Andrew Johnson for swollen salivary glands and enlarged lymph nodes around my ears and neck. They are so swollen I look like a chipmunk with food in its cheeks. I have had these issues for 6 months and when I saw Dr. Johnson, he said, "that's just how your face is." I told him I have lived with my face for 34 years -- I'm pretty sure it's not how my face is. He said my lymph nodes are growing abnormally and it's nothing to worry about. How do your lymph nodes just start growing abnormally? Doesn't that mean they're swelling because of an issue? He completely dismissed my problems and told me to come back in 3 months. What is 3 months going to do when they have already been like this for 6 months?? He was so rude and rough and I am completely dissatisfied with my appt. read more

I had an appointment scheduled today 5/23/2019 at 14:45. I showed up at 14:33, they say it was 14:40. So while I am filling out the paperwork I am told since I was late it will be a LONG wait. I said I was early, they said because I am a new patient I need to be 30 minutes early. I simply left. They oblivious are doing well, they have no problem chasing people away. Sure some will say how great they are, but not me. You have been told so be prepared. There are to many qualified doctors out there fighting to get our dollars. This office is not worth it. AENT is easy to get into, the staff is friendly and move you through the process quickly. Our son had a tongue tie that we had to have clipped his first week of life so that he could latch properly. The pediatrician recommended we come to Annapolis ENT to have the procedure done. We saw Dr. Som who was EXCELLENT and very informative about the procedure. The office is clean but very busy. They have a check-in process that reminds me of a assembly line ---- they are extremely busy so I understand why they have the process. OVERALL, our experience with the doctor was 5 stars. HOWEVER, our experience with the admin staff is why we are giving this establishment a 2 star rating. 1. Our son was super fussy (colicky) and I asked if there was a room I could privately nurse him in. The admin/receptionist told me to take him in the hallway or the restroom . Another admin (maybe she was a nurse) saw my frustration and offered to place me in a unused examination room instead. 2. There was a initial mix up on the insurance coverage, so we ended up paying for the procedure out of pocket immediately upon receiving the invoice. BUT, once the insurance got straightened out and covered the cost in full --- we are due the full refund which we still haven't received!!!! The procedure was done in August and it is now NOVEMBER! We have called the billing dept numerous times and spoke to Jennifer (their accounting rep) once or twice over the phone. She explained that they only process refunds once per month and requires the doctors signature and so forth before the refund checks get mailed out. Considering it didn't take but 2 minutes for them to charge my debit card for the fee in the first place, it should take the same to refund the money. Needless to say, we can't recommend anyone visit this office. The doctor experience was awesome but if you have to deal with lackluster admin staff and the billing procedures can be a nightmare...why bother? The last thing we should be worrying about is receiving a significant refund from we thought was a prominent doctors office. I am very, very disappointed with the quality of my care and how I was treated, ignored, and bum-rushed by Dr. Michael Pardo. I've been suffering from chronic sinusitis for years and had surgery with a different doctor in 2010. My sinus problems recurred and after moving to Annapolis, I had several visits with Dr. Pardo. After many rounds of treatment with steroids, antiobiotics, and nasal rinses, he said, "You're a mess" (it wasn't the first time he'd used that language to describe my sinus issue) and he told me the only option was surgery. He rushed through the explanation, said talk to this one for that, the other person for that thing, and go here for the next item. It was like, bang, bam, boom -- surgery for you. He never asked me if I had any questions. Every time I saw Dr. Pardo, I felt rushed and gang banged by the whole encounter. Every time he entered the examining room, he blew in while looking at something in his hand. I was like, 'My eyes are up here.' I spoke directly with him about this and said, When you walk in the room, you're always looking at the folder and not at me. His response was, "We don't use folders." Wow. I told him I felt treated by him as if I wasn't even a person, only a collection of data on a chart. I said, I'm very concerned that you're going to be rummaging around inside my head and you don't even notice I'm human. No response. Dr. Pardo listened with his arms crossed across his chest the entire time. Then he said: "Here's your problem." I was like, what? I'm too blunt? He then launched into the specifics of my sinus problem and the upcoming surgery. He didn't acknowledge he even heard a word I said. I cancelled the surgery with Dr. Pardo and went to see Dr. Andrew Lane, head of ENT at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Lane provided another course of action to relieve my sinus congestion. A month later, my CAT scan showed dramatic improvement and no surgery is required at this time. Maybe there's another doctor at the Annapolis ENT practice who understands people -- patients who need help -- need and want to be seen. Dr. Pardo isn't that guy. read more

This place has gone down because of the front staff. The ladies in this office has the most unwelcoming personalities as soon as you come in no smile no greetings just sign in and take a seat. It's one thing to not be feeling well and deal with the personalities of these people . I really hope they get some better training in professionalism and customer service . read more

Dr. Overstreet has been wonderful with our son. She has been treating him since under 2, he is now 8. Completed his tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy. Took more time then was necessary checking in on him after a poor response to coming out if anesthesia. She is responsive, patient and kind. I had an appointment today for something semi-urgent. They refused to see me because I was 20 minutes before my appt. time instead of the 30 they requested. My appointment was for 1:45 but they wanted me there a half hour early. Why do they do that? make my appointment for 1:15 if that is when you want me. I got there at 1:25 (so 20 minutes early). they had me sign in and sit there until 1:50 THEN took my information and told me I could not be seen because I was late. Seriously? The office was horrible anyway. Very hot, stuffy, and not even a chair to sit in while they worked on the computer check in. I have already scheduled with someone else. AVOID THIS OFFICE. read more

I've been going to Annapolis Ent for a few years. My daughter and I have been seeing Dr. Michael Pardo and I want to say he is awesome! My daughter is 21 and has issues with her tonsils during cold/flu season. She thought she needed surgery, but he recommended treating the problem and didn't feel the need to rush into surgery. As for myself, he has been patiently treating me for a red and swollen larynx. I'm improving thanks to his advice! He's a good listener and probably one of the best doctors there. I recommend making appointments in advance as it takes a while to get in because they have so many patients. I tried to schedule a follow up, and the first available was 4 weeks away. They said they could message the doctor to see if he could fit me in and I was seen the following week. read more

If you need tie revisions,do not go to Dr. Overstreet. She claimed that my son's tongue tie was necessary so that he doesn't swallow his tongue (wtf). She said that it clearly wasn't affecting breastfeeding. He is now 10 months old and has been dropping in growth since 4 months old when my supply regulated. He has also been struggling with eating solids and has had delayed speech,just starting to gain more use of his tongue. Due to insurance, I didn't have many options If you have the choice, see someone else!!!! Don't let ties ruin your breastfeeding relationship and cause post partum anxiety and depression. read more

Went here once to see Dr. Peter King. My child was having hearing issues and said his ears felt clogged. Was seen, and ears irrigated. On that day we met with the office manager who apologized profusely to us for issues we had with the online paperwork we were required to complete prior to arrival. She said there were technology problems and felt that the situation wasn't handled professionally by their staff who I called to report those issues. (The front staff had told me that if the paperwork wasn't complete, we couldn't be seen) Today I called to make an appointment since my child was still having hearing issues. I was offered a mid-day appointment this week. We could not make that appointment and I suggested another day, and later in the day, if possible. I was told that the next available appointment was in late June I said that I would like to look at another doctor's schedule. I was told that because we "have already established a relationship with Dr. King" that I wasn't allowed to see another provider. Dr. King looked into and removed wax from my son's ear. We didn't have a long-term relationship or had seen him for surgery, etc. The woman cavalierly told me that it was this Wednesday, mid-day, or late June....those were my choices. Needless to say, I will not return to that practice. Dr Pardo is great! I have been seeing him for several years. My complaint is with the check in process and wait time. It is usually atleast a 20-30 minute wait before even getting checked in after you sign in, and then additional waiting beyond that. They are A LOT of patients but also have alot of doctors. I do think the main flaw is in the check in process as I believe it probably puts the doctors behind. I will continue to go there as I love the doctors, but I am hoping they will get a smoother check in system in place soon. Also worth mentioning, they used to have restrooms in the office you could use. Now you must go all the way out to the hallway bathrooms in the hospital. This can be very inconvenient, especially with young children. read more
