It's right in the area, easy to get to, and makes it simple to plan a quick movie night without overthinking it. The seating is comfortable, especially with the recliners. It makes a big difference being able to sit back and actually relax during the movie instead of feeling cramped. The theater itself is clean and well kept. Not perfect, but good enough where it doesn't take away from the experience. Sound and picture quality are solid. You're getting what you expect for a modern theater. Concessions are what you'd expect. A little pricey, but that's pretty standard everywhere. Good variety though if you want snacks or drinks. Staff is fine. They keep things moving and help when needed, but it's mostly a self guided experience. Only thing to keep in mind is it can get busy during peak times or when big movies drop, so timing helps. Overall, it's a reliable go-to. Comfortable, convenient, and an easy place to enjoy a movie without any hassle.

As an avid movie watcher, I've grown quite accustomed to reclining seats and they don't have that so it's a ding for me. But I do think it's a perfect place to watch a nostalgic movie; I went to see Speed Racer recently and it was a 10/10 experience.

I went to the 2 pm screening of Captain Marvel and was the only person in the theater. I gotta tell you, it's pretty cool to have any theater where you are the only person, but in an IMAX, it's incredible. The sound was amazing, the image quality was amazing and the seats are comfortable too. The concessions was open, but they didn't have any popcorn so I got a bottle of soda and some dots ice cream. For $13.95 with no tax, the experience is a steal and I highly recommend to see whatever Hollywood movie they are playing.

We recently watched "Avengers:Endgame" here and here's what I think: PROS: 1) Ticket price is way cheaper than Imax tickets at AMC, or comparable formats at Cinemark, Landmark, etc. 2) It boasts of having the largest screen, and it really is. Very impressive. 3) It's at Inner Harbor, so there are lots of things to see and do before and after screening. 4) We went on a Sunday, and there was a concession stand with popcorn and drinks and other stuff, not much, but at least. CONS: 1) I wasn't impressed by the sound. They said it was surround, but it wasn't. Plus, you can hear other people's laughter more than the movie audio, very distracting. 2) There is no Wi-Fi at the Maryland Science Center where this is located. Which is surprisingly disappointing for an educational site. 3) There are no reserved seating so if you want to get the best seats, be prepared to line up early. For us, since it was the Avengers opening weekend, we lined up an hour before. The place was full. 4) The seats don't recline, they don't even swing back, they are fixed. 5) Others may find parking a problem if you don't come in early. So, to sum up, would I go again to this place? Yes, I might. It depends on what's showing. For me, the best movie experience is still the Dolby theaters at AMC with the clear visuals and moving audio: the screen is not that big but you get recliner seats and reserved seating. It just costs a lot more.

With 24 theatres making it a massive theatre in the area and located in Arundel Mills Mall, Cinemark Egyptian has it all. Can't recommend this theatre enough. We wanted a cool dark midday refuge in hot weather (Jun 2026), and we like this theater at Arundel Mills Mall southwest of Baltimore for the many movies and movie times, the comfy seats, and the plentiful parking. It was easy to purchase and select seats through their app, under $9 per person midday on a weekday! We strolled under the bright fun Egyptian-styled columns past statues and décor. With the app purchase, we skipped the lobby ticket kiosk and the (short) ticket-window lines, straight in to get our QR code scanned. Easy peasy. The app seemed to say we could have gotten our food and drinks delivered to our seats! But we just walked through and quickly chose hotdogs, among the various sandwiches and pizza. We shared some candy. The popcorn smelled fresh, and the beverages are huge, but we kept it down to $10 per person. The seats in our theater were cushy and leather-like, and they reclined using a button on the right arm! Each had a little tray-table attached. This is the life! Of course, there were at least 15min of previews. We had center seats, close to the front to feel immersed. I'll admit that the film we chose was kind of silly, which is what comes of choosing whatever started closest to our arrival time :-) Cinemark Egyptian is a nice clean theater with a fun décor. Midday weekday prices were not bad, if you go easy on the refreshments. Hooray for Hollywood, and at this theater, and hooray for subtitled Bollywood and Cine Mexicano, too!

The cast members meet guests outside after the play, which I thought was a nice added value. The theatre itself is very impressive. Very clean and the seats seem to all have a great view. (They also provide booster seats for the little ones). You might want to bring a sweater, it is a little chilly. Be prepared as the audience is mainly friends and family of the cast - so there is considerable hooting and hollering for specific characters. (This was mentioned in a review from 2019 - so some things never change). As with bathrooms worldwide, there are not enough stalls in the women's restroom to accommodate the lines - especially during intermission. All things considered, I probably will not go back, because... being as this is A CHILDREN'S THEATRE and the play should NOT be 2+ hours! Holy Moly, how do you expect 4, 5, 6 or even 8 year olds can sit still that long? Sadly, I left feeling: set changes, a 20-minute intermission and about 6 songs too many, made me more than ready to go home.

I am very grateful CTA exists here in Annapolis.
