Although, parking kinda sucks, and it is the Main Street with so many cars, her place is so cute! Inside her place, there plenty of seating, and a lot of chairs available. For the most part, whenever I go see her, I'm probably the only other client inside - just incase you guys get nervous for Covid reasons. Nancy is so welcoming. She starts off asking you what you want to do with your hair, and she observes and starts framing your face to see if you would like it and gives out suggestions as needed. Then she washes your hair, and then she begins the cut. She's so knowledgable in the industry. She given me helpful advice on how to maintain my hair. Hoa reassured my hairs integrity and explained in detailed of the process and she didn't give me any false hopes but ABOVE AND BEYOND. I would like to say that I'm a introverted extroverted type of person but she made me feel so comfortable and worth time getting pampered. We took approximately around 10 hours for my full balayage but time went by so fast with her. She's so kind and attentive, her customer service is definitely top tier as well as her skills. If gatekeeping was still a thing in this time and generation, I'd take it to my grave. She ensured that I would walk out that salon looking real good, the cut and color suited my particular skin tone and everything then I didn't even think of a second doubt. This was my first balayage ever and I'm really happy she was the one to do it while others couldn't. I really love how's she's passionate about her job and she's there every moment of the way for you.

Due to the short pieces at the top of my head that stick straight up, I've had my hair in a ponytail all day as leaving the house with my hair down would look ridiculous. Unfortunately, I've come to find that even in a ponytail, there are patches of 1 - 2 inch strands that stick straight out of the sides of my head. Since I can't wear my hair up now, I will be wearing hats for the next six months while this grows out. This is beyond upsetting and so embarrassing that even a ponytail can't hide this hack job. I've never experienced anything like this. It looks like my 2 year old took scissors to my hair.

Over the years, I've had so many people compliment my hair and ask where I get it done. Most recently, someone even asked me if my hair was real LOL. I think that alone says a lot about how amazing Paula is at what she does! Thank you Paula for always making my hair look so good! Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a hairstylist they can trust long-term.

My hair is long, but it isn't completely straight like most common Asian hair. My hair had gotten to the point where I really needed a trim to get rid of a lot of the split-ends, but I didn't have time to drive all the way into SF (where I use to live before moving to Hayward) just to visit my usual hairdresser/stylist. She listened to my concerns about my hair and made sure everything was to my liking before I left. Great person and great service. I will definitely be contacting Lien as my go-to from now on!

I have had layered haircuts at other salons before, so I know what a layered haircut should look like. I kept explaining what I wanted, but the stylist kept telling me that he was giving me layers when the result clearly did not look like the layered style I showed him. It felt more like a bang trim with my hair cut shorter. I was also very uncomfortable because the stylist had a very strong cigarette/smoke smell on his breath during the service, which made the experience unpleasant. If the stylist couldn't achieve the style I requested, I would have preferred him to be honest and explain that before cutting my hair shorter. As a first-time customer, I left feeling very upset and disappointed.
