Dangerous Medical Practices: In my family's experience, Dr. Lucas Bachmann made significant changes to a prescription regimen without first obtaining necessary medical records or performing a baseline evaluation of the patient. Making major medication adjustments without reviewing patient history or meeting the patient face-to-face is, in my opinion, medically negligent and deeply alarming. ​2. Privacy Violations: During my time under Dr. Bachmann's care, I observed unauthorized individuals present during sensitive medical appointments without prior consent or introduction. This showed a complete disregard for patient privacy and standard clinical protocols. ​3. Lack of Accountability: This clinic appears to operate without independent oversight. Because it is family-run, there is no neutral escalation path for grievances. When a provider fails you here, there is no one to hold them accountable. ​Context: I was transferred to Dr. Bachmann only after my previous provider at this location (Dr. Gavin Meany) was removed due to criminal legal proceedings. The decline in the standard of care since that transition has been absolute. ​Verdict: I strongly caution prospective patients--especially those with complex medical needs--to seek care elsewhere. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone, especially LGBTQ and/or people of color patients who are looking for a knowledgeable and caring therapist of color here in the suburbs. I appreciated how she open-minded and considerate she was about a variety of different identity/experiences that I had. From my experience, she is familiar with trauma, LGBTQ, social justice, race, gender issues. I liked that I was not immediately prescribed drugs to fix the problem (like other therapists I have had); instead, we took the time to address the root causes of the problem, and I am sure that she would have worked with me to make a decision if medication was necessary. The Minnesota ketamine health and wellness clinic is one of the few institutions I'm aware of with their intentions facing outwards. By that I mean YOU. They are focused on you and your care and quality of life. This is a systemic ordeal throughout the clinic. Meaning whether from the front desk to the owner or vice versa every person or mechanism in place is in your best interest. I've had nothing but positive experiences here and have absolutely no reason to change that train of thought ever. Sometimes I have a tough ketamine session, the owner (Christy) is right there along with a nurse or two. They always alleviate the situation and are pure and simple salt of the earth people!! The owner, Christy then will use her extreme knowledge and wisdom to help assist me in anyway possible from a tough ketamine experience or train of thought I'm struggling to articulate. I was getting tossed around the system for my psychiatrist needs and decided to do medication management with Lindsey which was one of the best decisions I made this year! She's smart as a whip, implements some very practical principles which make life easier when dealing with multiple rx's and insurance. That alone was a blessing in disguise. Not to mention you can tell she is truly invested, wants to improve people's lives who are stagnant and simply suffering. Combine this with the rest of the staff like the nurses who are always a joy to see and could light up a room with their smiles and attitude and you have a business running perfectly. After my third infusion I thought it wasn't working so I was going to stop. Well a few days later I had some thoughts pop into my head about things I had previously thought negatively about; however, my feelings were changed about them. I was kind of blown away. So now it's been a year and I am so happy with the person I am today. Even other people tell me how I've changed. The office staff here are so amazing. They are very professional with a side of absolute compassion. I just love them like family. I've loved my treatment so much that I have added a Ketamine Integration Therapist who works here. My therapy is going so well. She is amazing. I've also added an MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC professional to work with me on medication management. One other great thing is I am a 59 year old woman and was finally clinically diagnosed with ADHD and finally being treated for it. That has made the biggest difference as well.
