Fridge temp was set at 36 degrees. Didn't discover this until the next day after we stocked fridge. Everything on top 2 shelves froze - fruit was unusable afterwards. - The only beach equipment provided were 6 chairs, all the low-to-the- ground type, and one small, worn out beach cart. No beach umbrella. We called about this: They said "Too bad, that's what you get." Had to rent our own regular height beach chairs, a decent beach cart, a cooler, beach toys, and beach umbrella. - Ping pong paddles were worn out, no balls provided; we had to buy some at Publix. - No outdoor shower or hose. Only hose present was hooked up to the pool, unable to disconnect. We had to wash sand off our feet from a faucet behind some bushes. read more

If you find a place don't delay in booking. I found a rental late one night, took a screen shot of place and price so I could call the company the next day to ask a couple of questions before I booked it (waited to book because it was non-refundable). When I looked online and called the NEXT MORNING, the price went up $1,400.00!! I asked if they would honor the price that I had from the night before and I had proof.. I was told if I could send in the pictures and time stamp of it they would honor that price since it was within 24 hours. I did. To my extreme disappointment, they did not. They offered 10% off... What a joke!! The guy that broke the news to me was nice about it (not his fault). Apparently there are no managers to speak to and no one to talk to in the revenue dept (who ultimately made this decision). It is unfortunate they would rather lose your business and potential rental income for someone. Be aware that apparently their prices change DAILY. At first glance this property looks nice. But we soon started to notice bugs (which we found out later were termites) all over the property. Live termites in the bed when my kids woke up from sleeping and in their clothes. (They didn't unpack their bags) They decided to sleep on the sofa couch. Which when unfolded was dirty with crumbs of food and other debris. We tried to contact AMI accommodations through VRBO with no success. We finally reached out to them and even went to their office on Anna Maria Island. They sent a cleaning crew out who made the beds again. They sent an exterminator to the property. He told us there were problems in that property before specifically in the kitchen cabinets. We sent pictures to both AMI accommodations and VRBO to show the extent of the bugs and uncleanliness of the property. AMI accommodations offered $250 for compensation (which we rejected) and VRBO will not do anything. read more

Red tide is rampant on this island right now causing an uncomfortable and horrible respiratory cough that this company does NOT make you aware of!! Do not use this company or deal with them in any way. As a renter, with a daughter with asthma, we arrived on the island on Sat. March 4th only to breathe in the air and we were instantly choked by an upper respiratory cough. This company gave my family and I zero knowledge of this, causing us to head inland to Orlando and refusing to give us any refund. Who wants to spend their vacation coughing and hacking? The company told me that it is not in their wheelhouse to inform people about "acts of god" including red tide. This is completely irresponsible, especially when it affects peoples health. It is not the weather, it is a public health issue. I encourage people to not give this company your business!! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. My family has loyally used this vacation rental company for the past 10 years we have traveled to Anna Maria. We usually are okay with a bit of cleanup when we first arrive and most years would sweep up, wipe down surfaces, etc with no problem. However, this past September we arrived at our rental home to a frankly disturbing sight. At first glance as we walked through the house, we saw a black moldy shower curtain, feces in the toilet (the toilet was sealed as if it had been cleaned), crusty dry lime in the fridge, a lot of debris on all floors and carpets, and thick layers of dust on all furniture (multiple months worth). Unfortunately that wasn't the worst of it. We found other people's hairs on pillows and under the comforter, multiple brown stains on the sheets, and were disturbed by the overall smell of other humans (perfume, sweat, etc) rather than the smell of clean bedding. (The sheets had not been washed) The final straw for us all was finding toenail and fingernail clippings sitting on top of the living room media center. We were appalled. At this point we immediately contacted Anna Maria Island Accommodations and told them what we had walked into. The entire experience in working with the employees at Anna Maria Island Accommodations was extremely unprofessional, exhausting, and overall left us feeling very upset as we have given this company our business for several years and this was taking away from our vacation time. AMI's solution was to make it right by sending a cleaning person over to clean a three story vacation home in an hour while we went to dinner. We were lied to about cleaners being sent to the home and returned to the same home. When we told AMI rentals that nobody had been over to clean we were ghosted by employees and given no other solution. One employee began to text my mother instead of calling her back and when we asked to please call instead, they continued to send text messages that were rude and unprofessional. After hours of frustration and speaking to multiple different employees with no solution or help being given to us, we finally were able to speak with Gabby. We again explain the situation and told her that at this point we did not feel comfortable spending the night in the home we had booked and asked that she find us another COMPARABLE accommodation that was CLEAN for us to stay in during our vacation. Gabby informed us that they were having several problems with both cleaning companies they had contracts with. We were offered another available home. Please note: This home was not comparable to the one we had originally paid for. It cost $2,000.00 less than our original home. One room had two single beds that we had to push together to make it comfortable for an adult to sleep in. However, we were just ready to have a CLEAN place to stay and finally start enjoying our vacation so we agreed to stay in this new rental home. On that same phone call with the management (Gabby) we discussed that we would be fully REFUNDED for the price difference between the two homes. This was agreed upon and we were told that our money would be refunded to us in the next couple of days. Please see the financial breakdown of the house we were supposed to get (Dolphin Pointe) versus what we were put in (Beach Walk) Beach Walk $865.00 $82.15 admin fee $220.00 cleaning fee $59.00 damage fee $90.00 linen fee $1316.18 subtotal $157.94 tax $1474.12 grand total DOLPHIN POINTE $2800 $266 admin fee $190.00 cleaning fee $59.00 damage fee $90.00 linen fee $3405 subtotal $408.60 tax $3813.60 grand total. Our grand total $3568.32 $3568.32 -$1474.12 = $2094.20 (This is what we should have been reimbursed) After multiple days we were only paid $1,000 of the over $2,000 that was owed to us because of the difference in pricing of the home we ended up staying in versus the home we had originally paid to stay in. We tried to contact AMI Accommodations about this mistake and they continued to ghost us the rest of our vacation. We physically made multiple trips into their office including a trip on our last day before we left the island to tell them that we needed to be paid the remaining money they owed us and fulfill the agreement that they made with us. Each time management was conveniently "not in"and we were told that our concerns would be passed along. We couldn't get a hold of management over the phone any longer. We left the island feeling very upset, frustrated, and exhausted. For well over a month we spoke to Rachel and Tracy about this issue trying to recover the now $1,000.00 we were owed for the problem they created. Now, three months later we still have not received a response or been able to get a hold of anyone at AMI Accommodations about the money they owe us. If you're looking for a rental house that puts profits above people and their health, look no further than AMI Accommodations. This greedy and heartless company is willing to put your health and safety at risk for the sake of their bottom line, as I sadly found out firsthand. My company booked a stay at Bradenton Beach, for a relaxing work trip by the ocean. Little did we know, we would be met with Red Tide, which is a local occurrence (we are from Maryland) that we had no prior knowledge. For some it can be dangerous, including the 1 month old that was along for the trip. Red Tide made swimming and even breathing near the water impossible, When we contacted AMI Accommodations to speak about the issue, we were met mostly with silence and promises to return calls. 5 calls from 2 different people, with 3 messages sent to Cindy in their office. Our goal was to relocate to another property further inland to mitigate the issue. Unfortunately without any support from the rental agency, we were forced to cancel the remainder of the reservation and seek alternative lodging. We were in the house only 2 days of a 7 day reservation. We did not receive a single call back until 4 days after our initial inquiry. In hindsight, this was the period of time AIRBNB holds funds in case of an issue. Once the payment was released, any compensation is at the discretion of the rental company, in this case a company of dishonest and greedy predators. You can guess there was no compensation, and refusal to escalate the issue or even hold a conversation longer than 5 minutes. They are quick to pawn you off to another department that tells you the same thing " I cannot help with this, but maybe ____ in ____ can do something". At no time did they show any empathy or concern, and instead seemed to care only about their profits. If this were a normal property with a typical rental rate this wouldn't be an issue. The week rental for this house was over $13,000. I learned a few valuable lessons through this experience. READ REVIEWS, Deal only with AIRBNB with issues. Owners\ rental companies do not care about your experience, only profit. AIRBNB cares deeply about their name which is tied closely to your experience, so they will do whatever it takes to make you happy. If you're looking for a rental house that values their guests and the experience, I strongly advise you to steer clear of AMI Accommodations. Their greed and callousness make them unworthy of your business, and I only hope that others do not fall victim to their unethical practices. read more

After renting with AMIA for 5 years, I am extremely disappointed in their service. We rent a home every year for Mother's Day week and take our parents who are in their 70's. I always rent a home with an elevator as stairs are challenging for them especially in three level homes with no bathrooms by the pool. As soon as we arrived at Sand Castle, we realized the elevator wasn't working. I called and they sent someone immediately but he needed to call an elevator tech. I was told due to Mother's Day the next day, they would be out early Monday morning. This was a a bold face lie. The parents said they could make due for a day. Monday morning came no elevator tech...I called AMIA they then said sorry not until Friday morning. I was furious and explained the situation again and asked to speak to a manager. I was told the manager was unavailable and would call me. Call back later in the day and was told the same line. Call back the next morning was told the same thing...this went on all week. 15 calls and never a manager, no offer to relocate us, no offer for a refund. Our parents left after three days as the stairs were too hard for them. I felt horrible as this was the Mom's annual treat and it was completely ruined by poor service. read more

I honestly don't know how the property I stayed in ("The Fairwinds") had such high ratings in VRBO and AirBnB. It was filthy and showed countless signs of significant wear throughout the entire property. The white couch in the living room smelled like body odor. Look under the beds and you will be disgusted by the amount of old food wrappers, dust and debris. The rugs throughout the house are heavily stained. White socks become filthy from walking on the wood floors that had been failed to be cleaned thoroughly. The bath tub was disgustingly stained from grime, and I was unable to bathe my infant during the week in April 2023 when I visited. The doors are difficult to close shut given the frame is crooked, misaligned and the door knobs past their useful life. The sliding door child alarm to minimize chance kids could sneak out and fall in pool was not working on the main floor (even though it seems to be a local, town requirement). The hot tub failed to work and heat up for about half of my stay, with no urgency from the management company to remedy. Have I shared enough examples to illustrate a trend here? Shame on the management company that was so lazy in their efforts to properly maintain this property. To say they saved our vacation is an understatement! Imagine showing up with 10 people and a dog with nowhere to stay! We had rented on vrbo and the dates were wrong. Anna Maria Island Accommodations not only sprang right into action like only a local could, but they solved the problem right away. They knew all the places available, who had cancellations, what we might need, etc. These smart women quickly brainstormed and worked it out for us. In the end, they helped us find an even better house, within our budget, closer to the beach, with an elevator, dog friendly and beautifully appointed -- all on short notice. The house was an absolute delight and working with these folks was amazing. When we had questions, they were completely responsive with fast turn around. They were at the ready to help with any other local arrangements for activities we wanted to make. During what could have been the worst vacation ever, they remained 100% delightful, professional with sense of humor. Honestly, just the nicest people and super knowledgeable. It really made me rethink how I rent. Having a local rental company was so much better than some mystery home owner via the other rental systems. Big shout out to Melanie! The maintenance staff can't do enough for you but the reservations side leaves a lot to be desired. We tried to rebook online with our American VISA. Unfortunately I had 304 Palm Ave Anna Maria as my vacation address at the bank and AMI accomodations rejected it with a message "Address mismatch." I tried twice more, then used my Canadian VISA which worked fine. What I didn't realise was that all three attempte to use my VISA, although rejected, were PROCESSED resulting in a hold on my VISA of over $20,000. My credit on the VISA was now 0 and it was rejected the next time I used it. From 25 March until today (April 1) the hold is still on. VISA assures me that after 7 days it will be automatically dropped as per their policy but it has caused me no end of trouble. On top of that they booked the first week of our vacation next year out from under us, giving us no right of first refusal, which has always been the policy up until now. So we were unable to rebook 304 Palm Ave for next year. Fortunately we were able to book another place for March of nest year. We've been coming to Anna Maria for 30 years since the kids were tiny, mostly in the same place, The island is beautiful as are the accomodations but they need to do something about their reservations procedures. read more

As an update: after this review was posted, we suddenly heard (from a manager), that in fact, the property had been re-rented with an offer to refund us approx half of our cost. After additional negotiation, we ended up with 2/3 or so of our money back. I'm increasing the number of stars b/c we did end up with most of our money back and it was refunded promptly. I'm leaving the number of stars at 2 b/c of the company's initial lack of responsiveness, their lack of willingness to acknowledge truly unprecedented public health circumstances with any sort of accommodation and the fact it seemed to take a negative online review (my first ever, BTW) to learn the property had been re-rented. read more

ANNA MARIA ISLAND ACCOMMODATIONS This is the largest property management company on Anna Maria Island, Florida. They advertise luxury homes but they represent several old homes that have not been updated or well maintained. I'm talking pools/hot tubs, HVAC, ceiling fans, appliances, flooring, cabinetry, dishes and silverware etc. Additionally, because the homes haven't been updated or properly maintained, there are years of built up grime everywhere. The most recent one I stayed in is located at 209 81st Street on Holmes Beach. The pool and hot tub had stains from unaddressed algae. The tech they sent out said it was due to Ian. However, the pool at my sister's rental house (represented by a different company) was clean. When I turned on the hot tub it never got warm. Needless to say, I did not get to enjoy one of the "amenities" that I paid for. The ceiling fans were so dirty I didn't bother turning them on. And if I would have turned one on, they all lacked the pull chain to turn off or adjust the speed on the fan. The house had a moldy smell that never went away. The fridge stopped making ice half way through my stay. The tub in one of the bathrooms wouldn't drain and the shower curtain rod was one of those cheap plastic tension ones that kept falling down. They did send a plumber to snake the drain but it made the whole house stink of mold and mildew which was great for my asthma. The sliding closet doors to the waser/dryer nook were off the tracks and one actually fell on me one day as I was doing a load of laundry. They fixed them after that incident. The local code required alarm on one of the sliding glass doors fell off and woke me from a dead sleep on the 2nd night of my stay. I had to call the police to come out and make it stop. I could go on, but writing this review is just making me frustrated. So you might want to check out one of the other property management companies located here. I know I will. read more

They are always polite, helpful, efficient, have always tried to get us into the property on check in day as soon as possible and the properties are always clean and perfect. I've used them many many times about 7 now on seven different visits to the island, the service is always outstanding and they have tremendous choices as well as suggestions and support for you if you need it to extend your stay or come earlier. Every place I've stayed has always been really clean and exactly as advertised. They also provide detailed information about the island and if you're hanging around and it's not too busy you can get some great tips from the people that are there about where to go and what to do local information is always good and they're willing to share but you have to be sensitive about how busy it is. We rented a 5-bedroom house all on one floor, called Rising Tide. What a great experience. The beach has always been my favorite, and staying so close wS wonderful! We had two living rooms with large TV's, lots of games, a pool, a great fully stocked kitchen, an outside Tiki Bar. Really, there was a lot of space. We filled all the bedrooms and the pullout couch, and no one was cramped. We grilled fresh local fish on the grill, used the cooler, wagon, and beach chairs to take to the beach. Just remember to reserve early for popular dates. Also, our flight arrived late, and The company was able to get the keys to us after hours. Great service. read more

I rented a property last June 2021 for occupancy 3/12/22. I had to cancel the reservation in July 2021. I put down $1137 to hold the rental. After cancelling, I was told I had to wait almost 7 months to receive any type of refund. The property rented for 4500/week. After I cancelled, The property was advertised on their website for $8000 for the same week. I called monthly to see if the property was re-booked in hopes of receiving my refund, only to be told in february that the property was re-booked for $3800 for the week. Lost all but $253. Anna Maria Island Accomodations personnel were dismissive, evasive and down right rude during this whole process. Clearly a shady operation. Terrible rental company on Anna Maria Island. I will make a list of the issues below. Management never reached out after several requests. Several issues were absolutely known issues. 1. Dishwasher was broken and the water line was turned off. When a group of nine are eating in most of the week that creates a lot of dirty dishes. We all loved spending time washing and drying the dishes after every meal! I asked the company to provide some disposable items for us. They did and it was enough to last us three whole days! When I made a second request for more, I was told the rental company does not provide those items. (Dishwasher was never fixed or looked at) 2. Number 1 brings me to number 2..the provided pots and pans were terrible. They were beaten up and ALL were flaking Teflon. What a yummy spice to add to your food! I am well aware that rental kitchen items are the best but, c'mon? 3. Several TVs did not work. A working one in the kids' room would have been nice. 4. Fan above the poolside conversation area/tv was broken. Did you know it gets hot in Florida? (This was the one thing that was fixed during are stay-halfway through) 5. It rained some the first night and the kitchen roof leaked on one of us sitting at the island. (a rep told me it rained a lot that night so that's probably why it dripped, lol.) There is a significant stain on the ceiling so this was nothing new. 6. Pool light was out. Made night swimming less fun and more dangerous. 7. Kitchen sink handle fell off 8. Front balcony door handle fell off 9. Several bulbs around the house burnt out (Dining room, vent hood, etc.) 10. Bunk bed ladder in the kids' room was broken. It was hanging on the back of the bed and a screw was sticking out of the side of the top bunk where the ladder should be. One or two of the issues on this list could be understandable during a stay at a vacation rental. The accumulation of all of this makes for a bummer of a trip. Being ignored by management makes it worse. They could have easily made things right with a phone call, empathy, some quick attention, or some compensation... They LIED to me on the phone so they could take our money with no intention of following through with the guidance we were given on the phone. We planned our trip when the number of confirmed COVID cases was steadily declining and all states and businesses were reopening. Before we provided our payment, we asked what their policy was if we were unable to attend due to COVID-19 restrictions. Anna Maria Island Accommodations (AMIA) told us that if travel restrictions were implemented, that they would work with us to reschedule. This was a lie! They took our $2,000 payment. Fast forward 2 months and now the number of COVID-19 cases in Florida has grown so much that our home state has a quarantine restriction in place for all persons traveling from Florida. We called AMIA to reschedule our trip and we were told by three separate persons that we would not be allowed to reschedule and that we would have to cancel our reservation and we would only be receiving a refund if they are able to re-book the property for the same dates at the same rate. We contacted the agency we placed the reservation through, who contacted AMIA, and we received a call back from AMIA asking us if we'd like to cancel. I advised that I wanted to reschedule and their manager, Ryan, was the first person who told us they would allow us to reschedule, but he added a new stipulation, that it needed to be within 2020. I told him that we were not told this when we asked before providing payment and his response was, "Well, did you ask?" Their policy also states that all cancellations must be provided in writing, however they cancelled our reservation on us without being provided with written authorization. DO NOT RENT WITH THIS AGENCY. They pick and choose which stipulations within their policy they choose to honor. Every time you speak with a different person you'll get different answers and it's obvious they're making up their policies as they go so they can keep as much of their customer's money as possible. They don't care about their customers and they'll say whatever they need to say on the phone to take your money. read more

Have rented from them with success, other than a small maintenance issue. Looked forward to staying at one of their properties this November 2020 for 2 weeks. Had to recently cancel due to both COVID outbreak in FL and the fact I'll be having surgery that has just been recommended. We asked that they keep our deposit and apply it to a date in May of 2021 but they refused and will only return a portion of our deposit IF they can rent the unit. These are hard times in our country. We must work together and luckily there are many rental companies on AMI. read more

Tipsy turtle is an unkept rental. We did get the place for a discounted rate. My understanding is that this is hurricane season and back to school so it is an undesirable week to book is why it is cheaper. However I have been led to believe a discounted rate might mean you get a level of tidy that is subpar or they let you rent the property with things about to break so you get charged for them to make up for the discount. The first thing I noticed was the garage door and it's inability to work. We were afraid it might break and decided to not use it. The second thing I noticed was the stainless steel on both fridges and how gross they were along with the filth inside the fridge. A cleaning company knows how to clean stainless steel as I have a cleaning business back home. And the worst part was how dirty the place was. Hair and pubes everywhere. Dirt rings under the rugs. A dirty towel downstairs left from a previous customer. You could tell the place wasn't cleaned or disinfected prior to our arrival. I believe because we got a discounted week they didn't have a cleaning company come out clean the place... During a pandemic. Unfortunately i left my disinfecting supplies with my side business as i thought i was going on vacation. The ac will not let you go below 72 degrees. The bedrooms are impeccably hot as the ac wouldn't even go down to 72 it would hover around 74 and the bedrooms were 80 degrees. The next thing I noticed was when I went to take a shower the squeegees wouldn't work. The squeegee is the Oxo brand that you find on amazon and is low quality. The communication: Three hours before we got to tipsy turtle I get a call from Anna Maria Island Accomodations. They say the stove and oven is broken and will not work the entire time we are there. Mind you it's four adults staying here. We planned on cooking the entire time to save money as it would cost around 60-80 dollars for each couple to eat out! Please note that we booked this 4 months ago and gave us a 3 hour heads up that the kitchen is useless. My friend and i had spent a couple days finding the perfect place close to the beach and with a cute jungle like backyard we did not want to give up tipsy turtle! So we chose not to stay at one of there two other available properties. They offer 200 dollar credit. We tell them this is unacceptable as our expectation when we rent a place is for everything to at least function. They say "well you have a discounted week already i can't do anything else." At this point we just want the stove to work we don't want a credit just a stove as we all have a passion for cooking. We come to an agreement where they will bring a portable stove top and we can have a golf cart for the week for free. After we discovered the rental was not cleaned prior to arrival we waited until Monday when their offices opened back up to call and speak with a manager on this matter. Along with to notify of the broken amenities that should of been working like the outside tv, kitchen cabinets, and the drawer in the fridge. Tea promised to have a cleaning company out that evening or next morning. No one ever called me back and a cleaning company never came out to clean. Nor the promised maintenance people. I have been staying in airbnbs for years with no problems. My first vrbo experience was this and will never use VRBO again. And I will definitely never use Anna Maria Accomodations. read more

We arranged our stay on AMI through Anna Maria Island Accommodations. During our stay at the duplex Key Lime Cottage in July of 2021, there was extensive construction/repair work going on at the attached unit next to us. This went on the entire week that we were there. There were workers on ladders that were literally looking onto our pool area, construction noise literally all day long and the workers' vehicles all over the place. I can't fault those guys as they were just doing their jobs, but when I contacted the office manager, Tracey, she told me that she had just expected painting to be going on. When I informed her there was much more than just painting happening, she told me that she called the owner and that they were going to compensate us in some measure for the inconvenience. As we got closer to the end of our stay, Tracey would not return numerous messages and the office staff made several excuses for why she was not getting back to us. We never received the courtesy of a return call, much less the compensation promised, and I found that quite dishonorable on the part of this business and the owner of the Key Lime Cottage. read more

This is our first stay on AMI. We had a few stumbles in the beginning of the week and by the end of the week, the people of Anna Maria Island Accomodations went above and beyond in helping my family have a great vacation. The house we rented was beautiful, it was well appointed and had everything you'd ever need. The landscaping is stunning and put to shame the tropical plants I try to grow in my living room. This is my second vacation using AMIA, and I regret having to write this, but this is a second offense. When we first stayed at at "unit a" earlier this year, not only were the bed linens dirty, (ie: the mattress cover, the quilts) but we had a bug biting issue. My husband and I were getting bitten by something at night. We called, and the pest control was sent out next day. He did not see bedbugs, thank goodness. I'm glad we had a unit with a washer and dryer, so I could thoroughly wash whatever I needed to, to my satisfaction. I did ask for new, unused pillows, and a new, unused blanket as a result of said incident, which the owner (who was very accomodating...I forget his name..) did provide right away, no questions or attitude, which I very much appreciated. Our vacation went great after this incident was resolved. The owner even gave me a credit towards my next vacation rental, which I decided to book while I was there since We were treated so well. We are now on vacation number two, renting "unit B". Before we slept this time, I took preventive measures in requesting extra bed sheets, pillow cases, etc... And sure enough, the quilts needed washing, and the pillows were stained with, "I just don't know, and don't want to know". I washed all pillows on hot wash, using a little bleach....So after remaking/cleaning all beds/pillows in unit B, I felt better. It has rained for the past 24 hours so I spent a lot of time in bed reading. Curiously, I was scratching a bunch, hair included...and by the end of the day, I decided I had better take a "look" at the quilts and bedding. To my disgust, I found over 3 very small bugs on the bed. I went to 2nd bedroom, and found 2 tiny bugs crawling on that quilt. (I was prepared, but extremely upset at this point) I had packed 3 cans of bug bombs for use in preemptive strikes, since experience at unit a. I immediately set off bombs in both bedrooms, but it was about 9pm, so the unit would not be aired out in time. I had to call the office. And report the problem. The manager working was very kind, (the owner was away, and could not address problem himself) and he moved us to another home for the night, until our unit could be professionally treated. Regretfully, the only clean item on this new bed were the white sheets housekeeping put on. I stripped this bed of a very gross mattress topper, that was stained and had all kinds of human hairs, etc.. ) the night manager provided us with new, unused pillows, and sheets that I could line the bed with, but no new blankets were to be found, and there is no laundry machine at this location. My overall thoughts: the owner and manager were most accomodating in a crummy situation. However, I truly believe that AMIA is in the hospitality business, and should be held to higher standards, and step it up on the cleanliness of the units. I don't mean "surface cleaning" (as that has been fine) ~ but the stuff that really counts: the beds, pillows, throw carpets... The beds need to have their quilts laundered between guests, and the mattress covers need to be washed in hot washes between customers as well. The pillows should all have sanitary covers on them so they can be washed in between customers as well. These are basic fixes, and would save a lot of heartache for people like us, who travel a lot. We have yet to be moved back into unit B, but will amend my review as appropriate. read more

This company took over a property that I had rented in 2018, and proceeded to increase the price to 2.5 times the amount as rented in the same week for 2019. I would advise people to carefully compare the prices of this company to others before renting from them. read more

I rented Jackie's Cottage on AMI this year and paid approximately $4400.00 for TWO WEEKS. Anna Maria Island Accommodations took over the management of this property and quoted me a new rate of over $5000/week. The total for EXACTLY the same weeks in 2019 would have been over $11,000 including taxes and fees. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! This is a lovely house, but not worth the price they are asking. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE! They are GOUGING people!!!!! read more

We had the greatest vacation at your Oceanside property. What an amazing house and location. Ken signed us in and gave us great recommendations at the office, the house was clean and everything in proper working order. We rented a unit from Anna Maria Island Accommodations, and when I called down to check on things I was told that one of the rooms on the main floor would no longer be available to us to use because they changed the rules after we rented the house. When I asked if we could change our rental house they had nothing else suitable. After saying "I should have been informed" that this room which was a den with a pull out bed and dresser and television and was going to be used, and now is locked up so we can not use it, they did not care they said it has been changed on their current web site and that what I rented did not matter as they moved the pull out bed into the living room. When I said I would cancel now they said they had the right to keep my whole deposit. What a VERY BAD COMPANY they changed the contract, DID NOT INFORM US, but we suffer the consequence. I WOULD NEVER RENT FROM THEM EVER NOR WOULD I RECOMMEND THEM. read more
