The private patio/pool area was just perfect for our Shih Tzu, Huey. The grounds are magnificently maintained, which is amazing, as they were just recovering from 2 hurricanes. Jill and Ben could not have been more attentive hosts. We needed a couple of things and they were on it immediately. No issue is too small and they take them all seriously. Courteous, efficient, reasonable, and accommodating are all adjectives that describe this company.

As others have noted in their reviews, Ken and Jeff are constantly working to keep up this lovely family resort. It is clean and landscaped beautifully, and the rooms are just right! With a sitting area in our two bedroom, we enjoyed the recliner and couch as we watched movies in the evening. In our full kitchen, we stocked the refrigerator from the local Publix and made our breakfast and lunch, which we packed for the beach. Many guests chose to grill out as we saw when we would load up to go to a local restaurant for dinner, but we preferred eating out! On our first night at Hurricane Hanks restaurant down the road, we met up with a resident who offered us more ideas for restaurants for dinner. There's nothing like walking right out onto the beach to spend a morning watching the waves, seeing dolphins frolic, observing osprey catching their breakfast, and swimming in the water among schools of fish. Many of the guests knew each other from yearly vacations, and we have already made our reservation for next year! Anna Maria Island is quiet and family friendly. White Sands Resort offers shuffleboard and corn hole right next to the pool, but the best show is the sunset. On our first night, we were surprised to see how many lined the beach to see God's beauty, of course clapping at the end! Thank you to Ken, Jeff, Joy, and Esther for a wonderful stay. Some of these issues were fixed two days later but the pool area TV was never usable. Halfway through our stay, the privacy fence was removed so the pool area and game room was wide open to Gulf Dr and the condo parking lot next-door. It remained that way for the rest of our stay. Very disappointing. They should not advertise a fenced in yard if it's not their fence.

Fridge temp was set at 36 degrees. Didn't discover this until the next day after we stocked fridge. Everything on top 2 shelves froze - fruit was unusable afterwards. - The only beach equipment provided were 6 chairs, all the low-to-the- ground type, and one small, worn out beach cart. No beach umbrella. We called about this: They said "Too bad, that's what you get." Had to rent our own regular height beach chairs, a decent beach cart, a cooler, beach toys, and beach umbrella. - Ping pong paddles were worn out, no balls provided; we had to buy some at Publix. - No outdoor shower or hose. Only hose present was hooked up to the pool, unable to disconnect. We had to wash sand off our feet from a faucet behind some bushes.

What a joke!! The guy that broke the news to me was nice about it (not his fault). Apparently there are no managers to speak to and no one to talk to in the revenue dept (who ultimately made this decision). It is unfortunate they would rather lose your business and potential rental income for someone. Be aware that apparently their prices change DAILY. Clearly it is profit over customer service.

The rooms are spacious with living area and kitchen. Kitchen includes dining ware, stove, microwave, and fridge/freezer. Bring your DVDs as the living area has a player. My only gripes are that there's no pool towel swapping, you have to wash your own in the guest laundry room, and the bathroom being way too small. I heard there are talks of potential remodeling and think bathroom size should definitely be an area of discussion.

Rant We rented Las Palmas unit #3 in Bradenton with Debra…read more Upon arrival we found a huge cockroach on the wall, sand, dirt and suspicious white stains on the bed covers like it hasn't been washed from the previous guests use. I send pictures to the host and asked them to be washed, hostile host Debra kind reacted badly at my request and suggested me and my family to find another place to stay, she said "we dont need your kind of people here" "people that twist things in order to get a good deal". Well when a host charges $200 per night + $200 cleaning fee I do expect to find the place sparkling clean and clean bed covers. A simple request to have clean bed covers escalated to an argument where hostile host Debra trespassed the rental telling us to leave her property. Airbnb was contacted and we chose to cancel the reservation and go spend our last vacation days in a more friendly environment. Thank you Airbnb for intervening and giving us a refund.
