They were able to check me in very fast. Everyone in the office was super nice. I liked the doctor and her assistant. I explained my situation and she was able to help. The procedure was quick and painless. My toe feels so much better now. They provided instructions for my after care treatment. I was impressed with the results and quality of care: The office is very nice and clean. It's close to my home so that's a plus. The location was great and perfect for me. The front desk ignored me when I walked in, though one was training the other, so I let it slide. What I couldn't let slide was what came next. I went in knowing I needed X-rays. The doctor confirmed as much -- then casually mentioned their machine was down. That's information that should have been shared before I drove over, checked in, and paid a visit fee for a problem that went completely unaddressed. I was also steered toward shoe inserts that a second doctor later told me I didn't need. When I noticed they were branded with the office's own name, the picture got a lot clearer. Now for the billing, which is where this really goes off the rails. I was told my out-of-pocket would be $50, paid it right then, and figured we were square. Two months later, a $115 bill shows up in the mail. I also found out they billed my insurance $700 for a 15-minute visit where nothing was actually done. Seven hundred dollars. For a broken X-ray machine and an upsell. It's hard not to wonder whether that machine was actually down or whether it's just a convenient way to get patients back through the door for another billable visit. Either way, I won't be one of them. Find somewhere else.

So when I moved to the McKinney area, finding a foot doctor was a clear priority. Enter Dr. Korpinen and the great people at Premier Foot and Ankle. Dr. Korpinen has two locations (Plano, and this location in McKinney) and I have visited both. My visits are always positive - no long waits, friendly staff, and nice offices. Dr. Korpinen himself is great. He is friendly, explains things well, and truly cares about his patients. I've had to visit him more times than I would like, but every time I walk away with a solid plan and feeling positive about my experience. Long story short, if you had foot or ankle issues, Dr. Korpinen is your guy.

I was not told I would have to wear a boot for 4-6 weeks post procedure before the procedure even though I called the office multiple times asking what the post op would be. Not only that but my entire foot is on fire with pain now and they can do nothing for me. I have been using so much Anti-inflammatories and Tylenol it has actually raised my AST blood level as the meds can be hard on the liver and kidney. I'm just devastated and still have to work on it full time. I was not offered a Surgical boot at any time, pre or post op or given any reference to which one I would need until 2 months post procedure. I am just living in pain plus the office refuses to call in any pain medicine as I try to figure out what my next step will be. I tried my hardest and called so many many times before to keep this from happening. I was given the wrong advice by staff as well as Medical Assistants. I was even told by one MA I talked to I didn't need the boot. I NEVER would have done the prp had I known I had to be in a boot 4-6 weeks post Procedure before procedure and I'm so sure I wasn't told I would bet my kids lives on it!
