Renewing prescriptions is a huge problem! The pharmacy faxed the information to the doctor's office over a week ago and that's ignored. The MyChart resource says that my prescriptions can't be renewed at this time. Why not? And how do we get in touch with anyone when no one answers the phone?!! TERRIBLE DOCTOR! Does not listen to the patient caregivers, and more than once has made what would've been grave mistakes with medication for my sweet mom. Took her off of a psych med that she had been on for 17 years without telling anybody. Tried to add a psych med on for nerve pain without adjusting current psych meds. More than once added on a medication she was allergic to despite repeated family warnings and had an idea to re-create a weight loss medication made of multiple drugs, without adjusting the levels to what was in the medication she was trying to duplicate. Listening to the patient is great but when you don't listen to the patient caregivers you miss a lot of really important information that is pertinent to caring for the patient. Especially with geriatric patients that are confused. When my mother presented with severe back pain, she ordered muscle relaxers and PT instead of doing imaging. That back pain turned out to be metastatic cancer that killed my mom. I was going to write this review before my mom died, but that is just the icing on the cake. Repeated frustrating visits with this doctor. You just don't blow off the patient caregivers or change routine psychiatric meds without telling anyone. Poor management across providers. NOT OK!!! The staff and secretaries have recently changed and they are extremely rude. They are unwelcoming and condescending to patients. They don't care about their patients. The doctor will most likely never see you, only PAs. Definitely find a different doctor. This place is really going down hill since they changed the staff. Website states they accept Medicare patients. I made an appointment for July 8, they called and changed it to July 17. After I confirmed it on July 16, they called back in a half hour and cancelled stating that they are not accepting Medicare patients. Total greed! read more

the office staff are fantastic. Dr Burke is not a bad dr if you don't mind not having a voice in your own plan of care. She basically extorted me. she decided a medication I'd been on since 2007 had to go. She said with a witness present "you either agree to this or find a new dr" She left me hanging with upcoming tests and X-raya scheduled and a new dr for a new problem. Do NOT make an appointment to see this 'doctor'. I spent 2 hours filling in their voluminous paperwork, which had thankfully been sent ahead of time. (Which is the only good thing I can say.) I need not of bothered because the 'doctor' didn't believe one single word on any of those many, many pages. I tell her I am profoundly deaf. She immediately asks, "Legally??!!" (Like there is some way to be illegally deaf?) I turn my head so she can see my hearing aids. Seems this wasn't sufficient 'proof' for her. She looks all annoyed when I stand close enough to see her face and read her lips. I spend several minutes telling her about another condition. The med I take, how much, how often, blood test frequency, numbers to look for. I tell her about the two surgeries I've had done related to that condition. The information hits her mind, and her brain trips over. She asks an escalating series of rude, to extremely offensive questions...The sheer and utter disbelief clearly written on both voice and face. I make it very plain I have absolutely no intention of taking off one stitch of clothing to 'prove' this condition. She goes back to looking very annoyed. I talk mental health. Again, disbelief. She won't prescribe a particular medication I've been taking for several years because...Records, she don't have them. (If I'd been told, I would have gotten them.) I tell her I only have enough for 2 more weeks. Nope...Next appointment, 4 weeks. Pain management...Well, that ain't happening either. (Suggests I see Dr. S. J. Badiyan. Don't make an appointment with him either.) Physical exam: Approximately 3 minutes of listening to my heart and lungs, checks pulses at wrists and ankles. And that is all there was. Ends appointment with a series of 'I' statements, such as "I'll do what I think best." Sorry lady. Either we are working together as a team, or *I* look elsewhere. And for that extra special kick in the pants heading out the door...They haven't dealt with a self-pay patient in a VERY long time. Takes them a good 5 minutes to even FIND a self-pay code. Cost: $325 for basically wasting an hour or more of my time in the office. They poke around the codes and find another one. Cost is now, $162.50. Still too high considering the appointment was an utter waste of time + the 2 hours it had taken to fill in all the paperwork. If you value your life, your health, your time, your money, your sanity or sense of self, even your children...This is NOT a 'doctor' worth considering...EVER. read more

Rude receptionist, unhelpful and too busy to help. Had to wait two weeks just to see Nurse and then was told I might be able to make appointment to see doctor after that. Then when I told her I was Retired Military and had Tricare Prime Health Insurance, I was cut off and told we don't see Military with Gov Insurance. Nice, if I did not serve my country, was not Vet, and had civilian Insurance, I would have been fine, but since I was just a low retired Military with Gov Insurance, I was not good enough to be seen. As soon as Receptionist found out my retired status she was even shorter and more rude. She did not offer to help or suggest anything, basically told me go somewhere else they would not see me. I've attended this practice for ten years, first with Dr. Holt, then with Dr. Burke after Dr. Holt retired. The staff members have always been kind, friendly and helpful. Dr. Burke has helped me through some major illnesses, and I love how thorough she is with me. She always takes time to talk to you during your visits. She keeps watch over my medications, and she is very knowledgable about myriad of things. read more

Dr. Burke's office staff manager is very rude. I've been a patient of Dr. Burke's for years and I have decided enough is enough. I was charged a no show fee for an appointment I actually tried to cancel the evening before. When I explained this to the office manager, Sheri, I was informed that the office phone does not have an answering machine and I should have called that morning. The manager was also very quick to tell me I was a "no show" 4 years prior in 2010. I like Dr. Burke, however when I asked the office manager if Dr. Burke would risk losing a patient over a mistaken "no show" she confirmed the doctor stands behind the policy. I had an upcoming physical scheduled in September that I have since cancelled and will be happy to find a doctor that is more tech savvy and patient friendly! read more

Dentonites: avoid Dr. Anna Burke at all costs. Spread the word. I had a series of negative interactions with her office staff, and when I was sent a form survey after the visit, I answered the questions honestly and gave feedback about the ways in which I felt disrespected by her staff. I just received a "notice of termination" from her office as a result. I haven't even seen the doctor herself in upwards of two years and instead have been relegated to a series of rude NPs. This is an office where a 3D realistic model of what a pound of fat looks like sits at eye level when they ask you to weigh yourself. This is an office that advised me to get a series of vaccinations simultaneously rather than in a series that ended with me shaking with a 104 degree fever for days (and when I came back for follow-up care was treated with baffled looks and the advice to "take a cool shower.") This is an office that consistently flubs up my medical records and is unable to articulate what the forms I'm signing mean. This is an office where the nurses judge me for being "in a bad mood." Honestly, Anna Burke has been my PCP out of sheer laziness. That shit is about to change, and right quick. Front desk lady is extremely rude. They will lie straight to your face. Also it's impossible to see dr burke it's 2018 and I been trying to see her since my 2016 meeting with my doctor. They just throw other ones on you then fail to document things thoroughly and will then lie to you when you had convos with their "doctors" or the ones they pass you off too. I told them bout my serious back issues and they wouldn't even write me an order for me to see a chiropractor bc my back was messed up in 5 diff places going down my spine and the only way insurance would help is if my doctor gave wrote order for chiropractor. When I asked the front desk about it they were so rude and said that I have NEVER talked about back issues before!!! Are you kidding me how did I not talk about it after my car accident that messed it all up in first place? If y'all don't have that that's on y'all! Then tried to talk to manager and they brought the lady from the front who I had issues with of being rude and the manager or head person then was rolling her eyes and laughing at me with the rude lady in front next to her!!! Went and found another doctor. Dr Yates is awesome if your looking for some real help and to actually see your doctor instead of them throwing you random after every time you ask to see your doctor dr burke and they send someone else or leave you to think you will see her and then don't. read more

I have been seeing Dr Burke since she took over for Dr Holt upon his retirement. had been going to Dr Holt since 1986.The staff as well as Dr Burke are all courteous kind professionals and are all very helpful. I have never had any problems getting in when needed and all of the staff are helpful when I have questions and they have been patient and understanding with many of the situations I have come in for concerns for me or a family member. read more
