The store is well set off with everything easy to find. It is quite expensive but it is nice for a treat if youre looking for something extra special and their sale rack is fabulous for that budget find.

They still have queues at the till sometimes, especially during sales but that's to be expected. In this store it's mainly casuals, jumpers, fleece, plain tops etc although the shoe bit is quit good, often better than the big department in the newer one I find. There is also a small bit of underwear, Inspire, the brand for size 18+ and 915, the children's section in new look. The accessories are very poor with very little choice. Changing rooms are brightly coloured and have a massive seating area. There is also plenty of them.

This is quite a large branch, set out over two floors. Downstairs they have a dedicated food section, then moving left you come to the women's clothing. They have shoes, lingerie, and lots of lovely fashion. The only one I actually notice is Per Una, so truth be told, I don't know if they stock other brands, as I've only noticed the Per Una. They have some really nice items. Most of it is out of my price range, but I have been lucky there when they've had end of season sales one. The service is excellent. The fitting rooms are really quite spacious and luxurious, compared to what I'm used to in Asda, for example! The staff are friendly and helpful. Upstairs, they have men's clothing, and a gift section, and homewares. Last time I was in, I noticed they also had a television section upstairs! This was new to me, but it was a smart little section, not a lot of choice, but the service, again, was excellent. The lady took time out to talk me through some of the products, and was really helpful. About twenty years ago I thought Marks and Spencer was really posh, and the epitome of quality and good service. Then it sort of went downhill, but I think they're climbing back up now.

I am not sure of the exact hours but I think around 8pm on an average night. As well as the usual ranges of fashion, homeware, food etc there is a cafe on the first floor and a currency exchange which is handy as M&S often have good rates. Personally I think that M&S have become more competitive in recent years and I am now shopping her more and more.

The store can get quite busy but there's enough space to cope with the demand and there's also plenty of staff who attempt to keep queues to minimum. If you're shopping in Middlesbrough and want a bargain outfit then it's well worth looking in George.

The door is really small as is the whole interior and people with pushchairs stuggle to get round. The shop is well organised and tidy and yet provides a good selection of jewellery, hats, scarves, bags, dog clothes and other little nicknacks. Prices here are not really that cheap but what is produced is hard wearing and often a timeless piece. I have a beaufitul silk black bag with silver clasp that has stayed together despite the numerous times i have dropped it on the floor or spilt alcohol over it on crazy nights out. The staff are polite and friendly, very helpful. The shop also has quite a few seasonal wares, such as Halloween tights and christmas socks. It's nice for presents for friends.

Some of the staff I find are lovely women but others I have been disgusted at the way they look down their nose at you, especially some managers! Not very encouraging for the company! The queues move quickly here and I like the fact this shop has some toilets for everyone, not just customers of the cafe!

You can access this shop either by the doors which lead outside to Linthorpe road which is the main shopping area in Middlesbrough or via The Hill street shopping centre. The food hall stocks a wide range of food, from Sandwiches to more substantial food for bigger meals. There is a park and collect service which is fab when you buy a large amount of food. There are plenty of fashions available for all ages both male and female as well as a good home department which sells furniture. You can finish you shopping experience with a visit to the Cafe which as well as drinks serves small snacks.A bureau de change is sited upstairs A very nice shop, well lit and presented and as you would exoect with Marks and spencers good customer service.

Primark sells extremely cheap clothes for women, men and children…read more The store is always very busy so be prepared to fight through crowds and wait a while at the till. The clothes aren't always great quality but you get what you pay for - cheap and shoddy clothes! (That's because they're made in sweat shops by children) The store often looks a disordered mess with clothes on the floor and in the wrong place, especially the underwear section as most of the knickers are just arranged on tables. Overall, I avoid this shop as much as possible and only go there as a last resort.

I do have a few clothes from there that have lasted me a while. This store is very big, it has mens, childrens, womens, accessories and then towels and bed stuff. I don't like it because no matter what time of day you go in, it's busy and messy. I can cope with it, but it's so crammed that it's really hard to find anything in there. The queues are always long and the staff aren't always that polite because they're so rushed off their feet that they just try and get you to hurry up and be on your way. In the more positive side of things, it's good for a bargain, I like it for cheap clothes that I don't mind wrecking and I like it for plain socks and tshirts to wear under things.
