We have been losing people left and right! Three in the last week alone. Most have been unexpected, the work of a single moment, others just a matter of days. It feels suddenly like people are in a hurry to exit the planet and it is overwhelming us. This is one funeral we, as well as a few other members of the family, are not able to get to. I called Anker as they are located in the town where the funeral is held. I apologize, I do not remember the names of the women who assisted me. First phone call she knew about the funeral and had other arrangements for the service which gave me a sense of 'being in good hands' and one less thing to think about. She offered me suggestions on types of flower arrangements and price ranges and I told her I'd pass on the information to the other family members and call back. Choices include a wicker basket filled with live plants and fresh flowers for the family to take home, a bouquet in a vase to take home, or a cemetery bouquet that is left graveside. After conversing with family, and realizing many people attending are coming in from out of town, we chose the later. I called back and a second woman assisted me with style (cemetery), price point, reminded me of taxes and delivery fee (thank you!) and color preference. Both these women were *very* patient and sympathetic and so very helpful. I can't thank them enough for helping us. I saw here on Yelp they would send a pic and so I asked if they would text me so that I could share it (here, and) with the family. We are so pleased with this beautiful bouquet. The florist used a variety of symbolic 'funeral' flowers and it is a colorful celebration of life. I am very happy to recommend Anker Florist. The staff are so helpful and the final product beautiful. read more

Anker Florist - Funeral arrangement. We are all very pleased at how beautifully it came out. Thank you Anker Florist. - Florists Near Me - Danville, Illinois

I ordered flowers for my mom's birthday, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. There was no delivery confirmation, and my mom had no idea the flowers had even been dropped off--they were left where she didn't see them. I reached out to the florist via email and never received a response, which made the situation even more frustrating. Communication is key for something as time-sensitive as a birthday delivery, and this completely missed the mark. Because of this, what should have been a special moment was overshadowed by confusion and disappointment. I would not recommend based on this experience. read more

I ordered a pothos plant for my best friends dads funeral. Two days after the funeral we picked it up and the very next day the plant was yellow and dying. Anker only refunded $15 on a $50 order. I'll never buy flowers from them again. read more

Very disappointed in the arrangement! Spent $70 and 11 flowers in the arrangement! Some greens and pinecone.. when inquired about it.. was told the "reindeer" pot it was in was $50... I originally asked for a square vase. Would not recommend! read more

I ordered purple roses they sent pink when I called to ask. They said they are purple and hung up on me. Very ride and poor customer service. read more

We ordered a $60 planter for a CO workers mothers funeral and a $20 cheap plant got delivered. I went in to talk to the manager. I showed her pictures of what we ordered VS what we got. All she had were excuses. She tried to explain it all away and at first was only willing to refund me $30. I told her that we were embarrassed by what was sent and this is completely unacceptable. If they didn't have the plants that they advertised they should have called us instead of sending what they sent. I'm just sad for all of these people who may be out of town or don't bother to look for their planter and they just give them these standard planters instead that are no where near the amount they paid for the planter they originally ordered. Stop with the excuses. This all could have been fixed if they would have called and we could have picked something else read more

I ordered corsages and wristlets for my daughter's wedding. I received all corsages even though I paid extra for the 2 wristlets. When I went to the store to return the bucket from the other flowers I ordered, I told the staff what happened. In the end, they refunded the money for the 2 wristlets, but were very rude and continued to argue with me. They said that I canceled the wristlets when I made the final payment, which I did not. The flowers were pretty, but customer service was terrible. They basically accused me of lying and never once apologized for the mistake, all while the owner watched not saying a word. read more

If i could give a 0 star I would. Ordered flowers for Mother's day which were to be delivered on Friday. They were not delivered. Phoned the shop on Saturday and was told that they were not delivered (no kidding, i knew that already) and that they "thought" they must be on the truck for delivery. No luck with delivery Saturday either. So, it's Mother's day and no flowers for my 93 year old loved one! Thanks Anker! Couldn't be more disappointment in your sorry customer service. Did I mention that the lady I spoke to when I inquired in Saturday about the flowers was extremely rude and acted as though it were no big deal and responded that if the flowers were not on the delivery truck they'd send something out, clearly this didn't occur. Of course they were paid for upon order! I have never in my life posted a negative comment about a business because everyone has a bad day, but the lack of response from this business is inexcusable. read more

Me and my family have always used Anker Florist to order flowers for funerals, birthdays, just because flowers I have never had an issue with the flowers they have delivered or that I've picked up from them.So my mom was celebrating her 67th birthday, and I wanted to send her a nice bouquet of flowers to her job, there were lots of options out there to choose from yo purchase her flowers from, but I chose Anker florist being they are here locally and we always use them....was excited about what I chose for my mom's birthday, they got delivered to the school,I went over to see them when she came home.I could not believe my eye, it was one of the worst arrangements I had ever seen. The flowers were crammed in a itty bitty small vase, a lot of the flowers were broken because the vase they used was too small. I immediately called them, but I had to call three times to talk to someone that could actually help me ,instead of them refunding me my money or giving me a credit they agreed to send out another bouquet tomorrow.Only one thing her birthday was today, not tomorrow. So that really defeats the purpose.I will definitely consider sending flower from some place else next time. I was very disappointed that they would send that out. read more
