The desserts are a mixture of freshly made on site, ready prepared shipped in from the larger company and bought to sell. The range and choice is fantastically huge with lots of options, just what you want in a dessert shop. My only gripe is that on the soda floats menu they don't offer the one and only original with root beer (not alcoholic), when they do it will be dessert shop perfection for me outside of London. It's only after eating this wonderful meal, he told me that he has been coming here for months with his old friends. It's like he didn't want to tell me...like..I don't know...he didn't want me to tell the whole internet! On entering you, you are greeted with a plethora of sweets! No messing about! Much like Jyotis in Hall Green, it's a good move to have a sweet shop in a restaurant. The amount of times I have been stuffed after a meal to have dessert, that you can pick up some cheeky jalebis or barfi to have when you get home. It's a cosy and intimate affair but certainly not cramped. The music was very calming and I felt totally relaxed as soon as I stepped into the Cave. It sounds cliche but it's true! The place was so clean and modern and looked like it just opened today, despite it being around for a year or two. While in the Cave, I bumped into and old friend and his daughter who said they were regulars. He is a harsher food critic than me! They had a Pizza which they said was perfect. The menu is amazing! They have all the usual burgers and pizzas but it's everything else which makes the Cave more appealing to your average Asian restaurant goer. The curries are really authentic and not too wild for any newcomer. No Chicken Tikka Masala here, but more Achari Chicken and Lahori Haleem. You don't like curry? No problem! There are plenty of starters for you to try individually or as part if the "Veg mix" or "The Cave mix" You are a Vegetarian or Vegan? No problem! There are 7 veggie curries, endless starters and naans and rotis for you to sample! Me and my dad went for the starters option. Grilled fish, Baby chicken, Masala rice and Tandoori Roti. The part of this selection that blew me away was the Grilled fish. It's an insult to make the comparison, but the only similar method of fish I have had is masala fish, which can be found in most kebab shops around England. But those are laden with salt, oil and food coloring. The Cave's grilled fish was delicate, soft with a slight spice which made it a joy to eat with rice. The Chicken wasn't grilled but done as a rotisserie done with coating of your choice. I went for mild, as you know my dislike for things chilli. It was better tasting and a snip in price than other chain that does grilled Chicken.. All members of staff were accommodating and friendly which was a lovely touch. I really can't wait to come back and try the curries in particular because from the descriptions, sound unpretentious and genuine. My dad has tried some and can vouch for them being great! It is definitely a place where I would bring friend to eat in a less formal yet still lovely surroundings. But would feel fine about coming to on my own. And not a trace of Pork, Beef or alcohol in sight... p.s I forgot to say there was plenty of salad on every plate!

Quite a few things to choose from.In the end I decided on waffles with chocolate ice cream and sauce, couldn't remember the actually name . It was sooo good actually can't fault any of the desert. But no, while patrons of Heavenly Desserts may be dressed to the nines, this dessert bar necessitates elastic trousers more than a "go out shirt". Heavenly Desserts was one of the originators of the type of dessert bar that has popped up all over Birmingham in recent years. Starting out in a smaller shop front, they now take up a very large location in Sparkbrook that can seat many. Despite this, the place is packed with queues on the weekend. The wait is managed very professionally by an army of staff members. Once you make it to your seat, a literal bible of sweet goodies awaits. The shop is most known for their outrageous waffles and cookie dough, but it's entirely possible to pop in for some gelato and a coffee. This is exactly what I did while visiting with friends recently, as the cookie dough was tempting but I wanted something smaller. The gelato can be purchased on its own, but it's also a key ingredient in their other dessert dishes. I was hoping for the best based on reviews, but my cookies and creme/chocolate combo was average at best. Given the amount of competition in Brum, the gelato was not up to par with a generic flavour present. The Americano I ordered as my drink was substantial in size, but lacked finesse in its pull, with a bitter, acidic quality. The overall service here is spot on, with our waiter checking on us throughout our visit. Paying was a hassle though, as we had to walk to the back end of the shop and pay at a card kiosk. Speaking of, the prices here are at the upper limit of what you can realistically charge, especially since it's not in city centre. Heavenly Desserts is a nice dessert shop for the most part, but if you are looking for high quality ingredients or a low-mid price point, south Brum has many more options for you.

Everything inside represents luxury from the decoration the furniture. It's very plush. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed. The staff here are friendly but also seem to give the cold shoulder at times. They have separate male and female toilets, with a disabled toilet and baby changer room. The interior has been done to a high standard with different types of seating for different groups of people. If you don't fancy something straight off the menu you can go up to the main cake stands or ice cream counter. That way you can see what you're going to have and make a decision that way. All deserts come with a choice of cream, ice cream or warm custard. Some deserts even come with melted chocolate, jam or double cream. A lot of choice of what to hace on the menus, from waffles, crepes, sundaes, cake etc. I was a little disappointed by the portion sizes and my experience was short lived. Tap water is free and needed with consuming so much sugar but milkshakes and other drinks are on offer too. Sadly they don't have a car park so you'd need to walk there or park on road outside after 6pm. It has a very good location being in the centre of West Brom town.
