Dog Training Elite - At home training

I have two little dogs (4 & 8) and just rescued a 3rd puppy (already 40 pounds who could squash the…read moretwo 10 pounders) and knew it was time to get training. Being so sick of living in a circus constantly screaming and being upset with my dogs was a terrible way to live. So, naturally, I started yelping dog trainers. Clint had a number to text, AMAZING. and was super responsive unlike all of the others that I had contacted. He followed up when I forgot and came to the house to do a free at home consultation and we signed that day for all 3. It's been 2 sessions (an hour a piece with each dog) and they are NIGHT AND DAY. it's amazing how much progress he was able to get even after one session. If you're on the fence about training, just text or call Clint and make it happen- you won't regret it.

E-Collar Technologies - Hard Plastic Receiver Arm Broken Off

I purchased the K9-800 K9 Handler 1 Mile Trainer with the 33" Bungee Collar from E-Collar…read moreTechnologies in May 2020 for my Sable German Shepherd imported from the Czech Republic. For 5-years the system worked incredibly well, especially well for a dog with a thick, weather-resistant double coat designed for working outdoors. GSDs fur features a dense, softer undercoat for insulation and a harsher, straight outer coat that lies flat against the body. Finding an e-collar that was compatible with her fur type took trying out at least half a dozen brands, before falling in love with E-Collar Technologies, Inc. The reliability, range, and overall performance were excellent, and it became an essential part of safely working and handling my dogs. In May 2025, I needed to replace the Educator Quick Snap Bungee Collar after the quick snap feature actually prevented what could have been a serious injury to my dog while using the collar with a metal lead outside in our front yard. That incident was 100% user error on my part, and the quick-release design likely saved my dog from harm. Unfortunately, since replacing the original collar, the quality and durability of the replacement Quick Snap Bungee Collars has been extremely disappointing. We have now gone through 3 replacement collars because the bungee portion stretches out to the point that the collar no longer fits properly or functions effectively. A loose e-collar is not only ineffective, but potentially dangerous because consistent contact is critical for proper operation. Additionally, repeatedly changing out the collars has caused wear and damage to the hard plastic receiver attachment points. Over time, one of the receiver arms ultimately broke off completely, further impacting the functionality and reliability of the system during use. We will now have to replace the receiver for $125 (to further utilize the training device that originally cost over $350. I still believe the original K9-800 system itself is one of the best training tools available, which makes this even more frustrating. The original collar lasted nearly 5 years without issue, but the newer replacement collars have not held up remotely the same way. I truly hope E-Collar Technologies reviews the durability and quality control of the replacement Quick Snap Bungee Collars because the decline in longevity and performance has been significant. From further research, it's been determined that the Educator Quick Snap Bungee Collars (colors: black and red) are no longer being manufactured entirely in-house, but a few years back transitioned to a different manufacturing company providing the bungee quick snap mechanism for E-Collar technologies in the colors black & red - I've been promised that ALL other colors are 100% made in-house, and should not wear, tear, and breakdown like the past 3-collars we've purchased. I highly recommend this company & their products EXCEPT the black & red Educator Quick Snap Bungee Collars.

If a rating of zero stars were possible, this business would qualify. Their customer service is…read morepoor. Packaging for orders is awful. You pay several hundred dollars for a new remote training shock collar housing electrodes and you expect it to be shipped to you in a little something more than a "baggie" with the device itself exposed under clear film. When the container it is in shows shipping damage, you call for a return label and get a woke lecture from one of the pissants in customer service. E-Collar Technologies will get this back and I will shop elsewhere.

After a week we picked up "curry" who had been recently been shampooed and had nice looking toe nails again. They took our credit card and without any hassle we were on our way. Everything was professional and well done. We will use the Westside again.

Lastly, I was taking him to be groomed here; they do a decent job, and the price is very reasonable. However, I now need to look for a new vet for two reasons. (1) I looked at getting his Simparica trio prescription filled at Chewy because, frankly, they are cheaper online, and almost immediately after, Westside sends out an email that they will not be allowing you to get your prescriptions filled elsewhere because (my paraphrase: they insist on getting their beak wet.) (2) After they've precluded me from buying online I tried to buy 6 months of my dog's meds here last week, and they gave me a box with 3 loose pills (still in blister pack, but torn apart) rather than the sealed manufacturer's box of six that I'd paid for. I balked, and I was given the sealed box of 6 pills I'd paid for. At issue #1, I was disappointed. There's a reason we don't allow human doctors to sell medication, because we are trying to avoid a financial motive in prescribing. While we don't legally require it for vets, it seems Westside specifically INSISTS on wanting a financial conflict. However, it's at #2 that I'm well and truly alarmed. Mistakenly giving me a 3-month supply versus a 6-month supply could just be a silly error. One would hope that when filling a prescription, there would be some attempt to verify, but why was this box clearly not factory sealed? If you're going to tell me you can't pass along prescriptions to other outlets because you don't trust them, you had better be cleaner than Caesar's wife. Which means you're not trying to sell people loosies.
