Near enough to Oakridge in case you need to get anything in town (less than 10 minute drive). 4. Multiple cabins and a yurt available in case you want to rent multiple units for a large group or family event. 5. Large natural spaces available to hang out, plus two friendly tired dogs providing some company (Simba and Max). 6. Also full kitchens in the cabins making it great to cook. Plus free farm fresh eggs! 7. With so many trees, it stayed pretty cool in the heat (upper 80's). Cons: 1. We stayed in the Cowboy Cabin which had maybe a little too many knick knacks, making it difficult to spread out. I felt like I was moving things often to have a little more room. 2. Not sure if Sally is on the property often, as we stayed only two nights, but we couldn't find her the first night we were there. Luckily we didn't need anything so that was great. There were also two maintenance folks around so we probably could've asked them. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons, great place! And great cost - we paid $150 for one night at the Cowboy Cabin which had one private room and a loft with two full beds. I would definitely stay there again but select the other cabin instead (the price would be the same but with a larger loft and more space).

Elsie pays excellent attention to the individual care and needs of each horse to ensure proper care. The turnout situation is one of the best I have seen among various boarding facilities. Horses hooves are even picked by staff after they have been outside. Feed quality is great- horses are fed as much as they need and have individualized feeding plans that are adjusted as needed. The barn is quiet and peaceful. There is never traffic in the arena and the property is well-maintained. There is little tolerance for drama and Elsie ensures that the dynamic at the barn (whether it is staff or boarders) stays pleasant and professional. If you are looking for quality care, a quiet and kind social dynamic, and a beautiful place to spend time with your horse, Wild Rose Farm is a great option.

The horses well being is prioritized and that is apparent through the peacefulness of the horses. Elsie is helpful and very intelligent in her horsemanship as well as her processes. It's nearly impossible to find barns in the PNW with much turnout due to the mud, but at Elsie's place the horses have ample room to explore and be horses for a while each day, and then there stalls have large open windows on both sides so the horses can observe the goings ons. Very much recommend Wild Rose Farm.
