Matuk gave me a colonoscopy without ever a follow up. So Mary or Mark; hope I didn't get the gender wrong, the office manager, refused me because they said I saw another VA doctor. Why would the VA make an appointment with Matuk if I saw another doctor? That didn't make sense or wasn't a logical reason refuse to see me OR it's because of my service to this country. Dr. Matuk's office refused me because of my veterans service or because of my ethnic background as a Native American! I have 2 excellent insurances both Blue Cross/Blue Shield and the VA insurance but was refused service. As a proud member of the VA and the American Legion of California, I will be informing ALL veterans of this horrible group of medical "professionals" and Matuk's office! Horrible people!!!

Update: Nov. 21, 2025. Since these clowns ran tests on my wife back in MARCH...we're NOW getting…read morethe results...which show this office billed the insurance company for TWO ENDOSCOPIES!!..which we learned JUST NOW on the phone with the Insurance company. That's a fraudulent claim. There was ONLY ONE done. On top of THAT, we now have to PAY $35 just to even SEE the test results. What a SHAM! I FIRMLY believe the 4 and 5 star reviews are shills. Just READ the 1-star legit reviews to see the real story in this office. The WAIT TIMES! CANNOT BE DENIED. Here's my initial review in the event the office tries to wash it: PS: check the names at the end of this review, and READ THOSE reviews for the truth. "OFFICE DAMAGE CONTROL." And why would I say that? Because the reviews on here praising "short wait times" are HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE!! Because the FACT...I repeat FACT is, the wait times are an abominable JOKE!! This is our THIRD TIME HERE (and oour LAST), and in fact we're sitting in this outer waiting room RIGHT NOW and it is already WELL over ONE HOUR. I've taken 2 videos already of the crowd (yes...CROWD!) In this outer waiting area. And also yes...OUTER waiting area. Because when they finally DO call your name you're escorted to a BACK WAITING AREA. Yep, ANOTHER room in the back where you're held in check for even MORE time. The last time we were here a few months ago we were out here in front for 90 minutes. That's NINETY MINUTES. We were literally about to leave because we actually have OTHER commitments to address. But then our name is called. We go in fully expecting to see a doctor. Nope. That's when we're asked to wait in ANOTHER room in the back. And its NOT a patient room...it's a boardroom-type office with chairs for many people to wait EVEN LONGER. Another NINETY MINUTES longer that last time we were here. ABSOLUTELY NO JOKE!! Then, after THREE hours, we're escorted to an actual doctor/patient room where we waited literally another 20...25 minutes for someone...ANYONE... with a degree hanging on a wall to come in. Almost THREE AND A HALF HOURS. So yes, as I'm sitting here once again -- waiting -- I became curious to see what others had to say if any 'reviews' were posted anywhere. And then I started reading. Reading these "short wait time" reviews. Seriously? Well, the very first thing that comes to mind is --- why are SO many actually POINTING OUT the "time" subject??!!!!! Because THAT --- in and of ITSELF --- is highly suspicious. We're still out in the front room and it's now ONE HOUR AND TWENTY minutes we're waiting, while watching people...MANY PEOPLE... that arrived after we did have been called in already. I have 2 videos of the time and waiting room I've already shot this morning. We may HAVE to leave because of other commitments. So again, I'm sitting here reading all these other "oh they took us in so quickly" comments. Total BS. Shills. We're already chatting with other patients SITTING HERE RIGHT NOW who are complaining about the EXACT SAME THING. Wait times. So when I'm reading multiple 5-star reviews applauding the "short" wait times, red flags start dropping all over the field. Those alleged "reviews" blatantly SMACK of "damage control" on the part of the office. Total BS. It's now 11:05. We're allowing them until 11:30 to call us in. If not by then, we're gone to the next appointment where THAT doctor actually DOES see you on time. Tick, tick, tick........... Addendum: game time. 11:20. We're sick and tired of this waiting. We CAN'T wait! We have another doctor to see 45 minutes from now! We should have been in and OUT of here already! We're at the counter now. Complaining. My wife's doing the talking while I'm typing this 'review.' And guess what?! They just said they could take us in RIGHT NOW. So..........that's what it takes? Sorry. No can do, because we already KNOW about that other "waiting room" IN THE BACK. And that other doctor appointment in 45 minutes. The young lady at the desk says they go in order of appointment time. BS. Not according to the other patients we just quietly spoke with around the room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Game over. SO, bottom line -- USE YOUR HEAD and consider LOGIC when reading the reviews and be HIGHLY, I repeat, H.I.G.H.L.Y. suspicious of "short wait-time reviews" --- text-book 'damage control' responses launched to counter others who've rightly and legitimately complained. The procedures were to be done on April 12. Monday April 3rd I called as I did not have the packet. They told me they would send the packet in the mail towards end of the week. Thursday April 6 I received the mail, picking it up after 5 when I got off work. This only allows Friday, Saturday and Monday to get the medicine prescribed. I went to the pharmacy to secure the meds prescribed. The pharmacy needs to order, then mix two of the medications. I called to cancel and some rude lady started talking over me. She said I could go to another pharmacy, that they could fill the prescriptions. So I believe that two things can be true. Rude lady is right, I could go to another pharmacy. And I am right that they could give a busy customer more than 3 business days to purchase the things for prep. Why do they ask what pharmacy I use, and them suggest I go somewhere else? Yes, it is possible but it is an inconvenience for the customer. Why is it so hard for them to accommodate the customer? Without the customers bringing the insurance cards and money, all this office would have is a building with expensive equipment and no one to use it on. To the rude interrupting lady- all you people had to do was mail the packet earlier. And have some manners, stop talking over your customers.
