This is such a cute little shop. My daughter and I browsed around here for well over half an hour and the place is just not that big. I could have easily dropped a small fortune on the large selection of Tarina Tarantino jewelry. If you're a fan of Tarantino, this is the place to shop! They have a very nice selection of gowns which you won't find in the department stores. If you're in the market for a prom dress, homecoming dress, or night on the town dress then pop in here for sure. Everything is rather pricey, but they did have a pretty good sale going on at the time. Really cute clothes, shoes, hats, and accessories can be found here. This shop is worth your time if you're looking for something a little different than what everyone else has. read more

Angie's - Formal Wear Near Me - Ridgeland, Mississippi

See all

You walk in and the lady at the counter starts giving you the run down like you're joining the army. It's stressful & the entire store is so cramped. They hand you hair ties and say put these on a dress you like, but first they have rules. 1. MUST NOT TAKE OVER AN HOUR 2. NO PHONES (they will yell at you to get off your phone if you're checking the weather alerts....) 3. You MUST follow their system. The dresses are so cramped together it's an arm workout to look at any dress. They have no one to help you, and if they simply said "Hi! Welcome to Angie's, what color/style/size of dress are you looking for?" It would be so much more enjoyable. They have some nice looking dresses, but it is purchase only and all the dresses are $350-$1,000 I recommend going to David's Bridal, Beyond Expectations Formals, Windsor, or Dillard's. I found a pretty ballgown at Windsor for $200. read more

ZERO stars. I will NEVER shop at Angie's again. These people or should I say "Angie" have no idea how to properly run a business. Per their policy, a 17 year old, with a purse full of money, isn't allowed to try on a gown without a guardian. Who in their right mind turns down a sale? I wouldn't shop at this establishment if it were the only one in a hundred mile radius! read more

The people here have no good social skills. They are very rude, and seem to only care about the two or three people with appointments. That is NOT customer service. They have the mentality that everyone should be proud to be in the store, as if it was a place we had to be invited too. I do NOT recommend going here, there are plenty of other options. Yes, that had good dresses, but the workers aren't worth the time and effort for a dress..... read more

There are so many rules and regulations in this store that you may need to take an attorney with you to purchase a dress.

We have used Mrs Angie multiple times everyone is always so sweet!! And they always have a great selection of dresses

I don't like this facility. This facility operates badly.I also found the workers rude and pushy.I was spoken to in a rude and unkind way.Prices were also a little high but they accommodate your price range in most instances.I have to say that overall the workers and the procedure followed needs to change, but they had very unique and pretty dresses. read more

I would give this store zero stars if that were possible. While out for a day of fun with my 11 year old niece, she asked that we visit the store. She had seen it from afar and, like many young girls, was drawn in by the feathers, glitter, taffeta and overall pinkness oozing out of the store. When we entered the store we were immediately pounced upon by a clerk proceeded to stalk us around the tiny store asking every couple of minutes if she could help us. She informed us that all clothes in the store where half price -- I saw why - most items were HUGELY overpriced compared to the same brands sold by other major retailers. Then we approached the "behind the rope section" -- apparently a big NO NO - the back of the store including a section of formal dresses and the dressing room was roped off. Of course the dress that caught my niece's eye was behind the rope. We stepped behind the rope to look at it (I am not sure that my niece even touched the dress) and we were confronted by an older clerk who rudely informed us that the "behind the rope" section was for appointment only. She questioned how we passed their exclusivity barrier and breached the sacred space. Basically she very rudely told us to get out. Is it really such a crime for a little girl to want to look at pretty dresses and dream? Apparently in Angie's it is! My niece and I were both stunned by the rudeness of this clerk. After reading reviews online, Angie's seems to excel in poor customer service. Angie's in Ridgeland, MS gets an F in our book! read more

The only reason this store gets two stars is the fact that they have nice quality dresses.... Angie's mom is horrible to my mother and I both times I've been there. read more

I just left this store a moment ago and was appauled how my daughter and I were treated. The customer service in this store is horrible. Angies's mother, Lori, was not only rude but then talked about another customer, that were still in there, while me and my daughter stood at the counter. She then told us that if my budget was a certain amount, I was not to look at any dress over that amount or try it own. What she failed to realize is that somebody's budget and what a person can actually spend are two different things. If I could give this place 1 star I would. I will NEVER go in that place again. read more

I bought my daughter an outfit and she needed to return it as it didn't fit properly. There is a no return policy that they never mention or is not posted anywhere except the receipt that's given after the purchase. Poor business ethics. I'll never shop there again and I'm spreading the word. read more

Well, once i went in there and i already had a blister on my foot so i was bitter. the pants didnt fit.

My daughter fell in love with a dress at a local store, but I wanted to shop around more. I looked online to see if I could find alternatives. Then, I ran across Angie's. I looked at all of the dresses and found the same dress that my daughter wanted but for a cheaper price! I placed my order, and within 15 minutes, the owner called me and informed us that she did not have the size in stock. We talked about my daughter's measurements, and Angie recommended for us to go up a size. We were hesitant, but we took her advice. Anyhow, Angie ordered the gown for us, and in less than a week, it was here! We also received a hand-written note in the mail with our paper receipt, thanking us for our purchase. This shop gave us one of the BEST online shopping experiences, and I will not only purchase from them again, but I will also recommend them to all of my friends. I was so impressed with the customer service that I made sure to call and say thank you because business owners need to hear good reviews, too. LOVED Angie's! read more

We entered the store my aunt and I! Immediately we went to the front desk and this elderly woman kept asking who is the "parent/guardian" and "who will be purchasing the dress. We kept answering her until my aunt got very frustrated with answering the same question the 6th time, and said the same answer and raised her voice a little bit. Well of course if someone keeps asking the same question your bound to get agitated! The lady then said " MA'AM it is Sunday and I do not appreciate you coming in here so rudely, with your arms crossed and you telling me how I should be running my store. I am about to have a stroke..." My aunt then concerned said "you shouldn't be at work you should be at a doctor or hospital" The attendant/lady then raised her voice and said "I cannot wait on you today and I must ask you to leave the store immediately!!!" I was so shocked!!! Oh and backtracking a little bit, the reason my aunts arms were crossed was that it was a cold rainy day and they had their door standing wide open and it was cold in their store, not because she was trying to be rude in any way! I cannot believe this woman was so quick to anger and was so rude to us! I have NEVER been kicked out of a store before and have never been treated so terrible in my life! I had been shopping for formal dresses there before and both of those times it was a young lady (18-20.) It was an amazing experience those two times but reading all these other comments it seems to be the same lady causing all the problems. If you go in and there are only young vibrant 18 to 20 year olds stay there, you will have an amazing experience! But if you see and older woman there RUN, RUN FAR AWAY!!! Oh and did I mention the no return policy!!! read more

If I could give this store 0 stars, I would. I just entered the store asking if a prom dress was in stock or not. The actual owner, Angie, was very helpful and polite. Her mother, on the other hand, was extremely rude. She told me if I wasn't buying today there was no need for her daughter to even bother telling me a projected date for when the dress would be in stock. Angie's mother then proceeded to tell me that all the dresses by the designer I was interested in would be sold out after this week anyway. She then said what I wanted wouldn't be in stock until months after prom, so it didn't matter anyway. She then called my mother over and said, "Let me explain to you how we do things here," in a very derogatory manner. My mother said, "No thank you, we already know," as we have been previous times and had the same unpleasant experience. As we were walking out of the store, Angie's mother chased us out exclaiming, "THEN WHY DID YOU COME BACK?" My mother and I continued walking, trying to ignore her berating statements. She then continued to say, "DO NOT EVER COME BACK!" Shopping for a prom dress should not be such as unpleasant experience. The employees should cater to the customer, as prom is a very special occasion. I highly recommend AGAINST this store. A good choice would be Beyond Expectations, for several people asked if they could be of service and were very kind and courteous. Seeing as this is the third bad experience I have had with Angie's, no I will not ever come back. That, however, is by my own personal choice, not Angie's mother's hateful, undeserved treatment and words. read more
