When you first walk in on the left-hand side there are magazines newspapers and books written by people from North Carolina luckily we live in a state where there's lots of authors here. Then you will find plenty of sections for check out. When you go turn right you can find all the books all the nonfiction and fiction books on tape and books for kids. I do find that the book section is fairly small but they have a System with all the other libraries in wake county where if you wanna book and you can't find it here you can order and it will come to this library also they do support the library app Libby so I can get access to books there. I'd like to check out in person and the librarians have always been very helpful. On weekends they have kids events in the back right space. Like crafts and reading hours.

I stumbled on this while looking for things to do in the area while attending a book signing. Being a book lover and author, this was an obvious choice. My friend and I explored the first two floors (we were pressed for time) and were in awe. I wish Charleston had something like this because I would be here every single day working on my next manuscript. There were several rooms, desks, and seating areas for readers and students alike to choose from. The large windows allow for plenty of natural light that offsets the bright interior lights. They have a wide collection of titles and studies! Highly recommend that you check it out. Just remember to be quiet and respectful as students may be present working on their projects.

On the other hand, my son complained about the slow public wi-fi, which is a pretty big negative when you're studying using your laptop. He said it took 10 minutes just to get connected to the wi-fi. But for that, this seems like a nice spot to study if you've got a personal hotspot (or access otherwise to faster Internet). Hopefully, there is faster wi-fi for NC State students.

The library has self service to check out books. You can even look for books online, place them on hold, or submit a request. If the book you check out will expire, it automatically renews the return date unless some else has requested it. Locating books was pretty simple, I didn't have any trouble. They have several computer stations too. Cost 10 cents per page when you print documents. The staff were all very kind and helpful. It was really easy and quick to sign up for a library card too.

The pick up system has worked flawlessly and kept our house full of books for my kiddo (and saving me from buying tons of books for my avid reader!). Being connected to the rest of the library system allows for access to so many books, and they seem to arrive at the chosen branch more quickly now that "books on the go" has been up and running for a while. My kiddo and I are excited to get to pop back in and browse once it's safe to do so again. She's excited to have the opportunity to check out lots of the books on the shelves and find new favorites on her own. This is a great branch to do just that without feeling overwhelmed by too many choices.

I've been coming to the Eva Perry for over 20 years. Their quiet room was perfect for when I was…read moreworking on a professional certification. I would sit at one of the carrels for hours, without interruption. This is one of the largest libraries in the county. They have a huge selection of mysteries and general fiction, and their children's section is also quite large. They have regular story times for even the youngest family members, and they have regular workshops on subjects like gardening and writing. Check the boards when you walk in for more information.

I love this library! They always have events going on. You can get a booklet that informs you of…read moreevents for all age groups. I myself attend the baby bounce when I can. Usually they are every Wednesday from 10-10:45 am for children under 2. I take my 4 month old and she loves it. The librarians do a good job of reading, singing, and keeping babies entertained. I love that they make it interactive for the parents. I love that they have an online catalog you can browse. You can place books on hold and pick up. Their check out system is pretty neat. Instead of scanning your items one by one you place everything on top of a metal square and it automatically reads what you are checking out. It makes self checking out quicker. Definitely a more efficient way to check out that saves time for the customer and it gives the workers time for other things like helping customers with questions or restocking, etc. It's a very nice library. Has lots of resources for the public. They also have iPads for children to use in the children's area. Although 3/4 of them were out of order the day I went. You can rent books, dvds, cds, etc from here.
