I'm not sure why there isn't a review from me here already. I vividly remember writing one…read more Anyway... I had a fight with a narrow bridge that was under construction a few years back. Unfortunately, my RV and I lost the fight. I had some pretty hefty damage down one whole side of the trailer, and the back wall was ripped loose With a about a 6 inch gap you could see into the bathroom through. Class A worked their magic and made that trailer look like new in what I thought was a pretty short time. I could not have been happier with their service. Last year, my slide wouldn't go back in. I labored to get it in manually and took it to be worked on at Class A. They've got it working like new. While it was in the shop, they also resealed my roof for me. While I was there, I asked about RV storage. Not only did they have it, they had it for 1/3 the price I was paying in San Antonio. Even with the added drive to Pipe Creek, I save time because I'm not dealing with the traffic getting to the Tally Road area. I recommend Class A for any service you need done on your RV. It is a very good company. The office staff is very friendly. Oh... I should mention how one of their technicians stayed on the phone with me for over an hour telling me how to get my slide back in manually so that I could tow it to the shop. He was awesome!

They got us in right away but had to finish the work the next day so we were able to stay in the small rv park Adjacent to the shop in pipe creek. The shop is so clean and the waiting area is stocked with everything for your rv from replacement doors to back up cameras. This is a gem of a repair place because we all Know you're going to need a repair on that rv! Hope we Don't have to visit them again but if we need a repair in the hill country we know where to go!

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE SAN ANTONIO LOCATION ON GEMBLER…read more I don't often write reviews but this one is warranted. So here's the background... last October in anticipation of taking a road trip with the boat in the Spring I took my boat trailer to Southwest Wheel and told them some of the lights were not working correctly, I wanted to switch to LED lights and if they needed to rewire the trailer that was fine. I left the boat for a few days and they called and told me it was ready. They told me they had found a "burnt" wire and they replaced it. I was honestly surprised they didn't take the opportunity to rewire the trailer. Fast forward to yesterday... I pulled the boat out of storage to prepare for our trip and on the way home a guy tells me I don't have a brake light. Turns out the brake light and the turn signal doesn't work on the side where they "replaced" the bad wire. So I take the trailer back on my day off. When I get there they quickly determine there's a short and begin to try to identify the problem. So I will say that they told me to bring the trailer in the same day I called and they got to work quickly. About ten minutes later the guy doing the work comes in and says it's a short in the same wire. This is when I find out that they only replaced a section of the wire and now the same wire had an additional short. I really thought I was clear in October that I wanted this done right. Then he tells me there will be a labor charge to which I reply you know I'm here for a second time and you told me you fixed the problem the first time. He said well just work it out with the service writer that was sitting right there. He didn't say anything so I'm thinking he understands my position. There's plenty of stuff to buy in this place and I spot a drop hitch that I'd been thinking about. It's $220 and I ask do y'all offer a military discount. The tech says no the boss won't let us do that. Ok so I'm thinking there's no way they charge me to fix a problem I paid them to fix in October if I'm paying full retail on a expensive drop hitch. I was wrong. They charged me $90 for labor to fix their mistake. Needless to say I didn't buy the drop hitch from them. So this is yet another example of poor customer service and just basically bad business. How is it possible that any right minded person would trade 90 for $220 and a dissatisfied customer? I'm completely confused at the short sighted decision. It resulted in this review and I'll recount this story to anyone I know in this context. Poor decision in my opinion. I will N E V E R go back and would recommend that course of action for you too.

Had a major problem with my camping trailer-- bent an axle on a pothole on the interstate highway…read morein the mountains of Appalachia. The bend was enough that the tire on one ending was wearing badly-- I discovered the problem with a blowout! Once I made it home I started trying to figure out what to do. I can't afford a new tire for every long trip! When I talked to RV dealers for possible repair, they said that it would be at least 2 months to get the axle, and repair time would be longer. They wouldn't put the camper in the service queue until the axle actually arrived. Enter Southwest Wheel in San Antonio... I found that they are a distributor of the axle I needed on the manufacturer's website. I completed the information request form on Southwest Wheels website. Sometimes web forms go unanswered for days, but not Southwest Wheel's. Bob F. answered by email within a couple of hours. Once I provided him with the identifying information on the axle, he reported that they didn't keep that axle in stock. He checked with the manufacturer and confirmed that the axle was available and that it would be delivered in three weeks. It arrived on time. I'm scheduled for the axle replacement tomorrow. That's only three days after the axle was received! Since I'm about a two-hour drive away (without rush hour traffic) the service manager Jason C. has scheduled an appointment for me to bring the camper in to the shop and do a "while I wait" replacement. That will save me an extra four hours of driving and the associated fuel. None of the RV dealers I've ever dealt with would ever provide that level of service! The pre-sales and sales service from Bob F. and the coordination from Jason C. were both exemplary. I expect the installation to be trouble free as well. Great job Southwest Wheel!
