Rude. I came in to get two pieces of clothing repaired. When I came in she gave me two prices. I misheard one of the prices and gave her the clothes. When I checked my total I decided that I did not want to pay a certain price for one of the items. So I went back into the store a minute later and asked her to only repair one of the clothes and I would take back the other one. She responded with such blame saying that it was my fault that I misheard her. I did admit that I misheard the price. But because she was so upset with me she decided to refuse service for me on all the clothes that I brought in and sent me away telling me to go find better prices somewhere else. read more

I'll have to give them one star .I brought in 12 black uniform pants .I can't believe the person who pressed my pants left two to three creases on many of my pants . Some had double creases from the top of the pant to the hem. The person that's doing the pressing must be blind . Hopefully the owner talks to their employees to get this resolved but I'm not returning. read more

I purchased 3 sets of IKEA curtains that were 98 inches in length, and I needed them to be reduced to 86 inches. Angel asked me if I was sure that I only needed 12 inches to be removed from each panel, and I said yes because I had done my measurements exact, and I told her I needed them to be 86 inches each. When I picked up the curtains and placed them on the curtain rods, they were not even. I went back and told Angel and she said there was nothing she could do, but charge me half price to re-do. And she said "that's why I asked you multiple times if that's what you wanted." She said that sometimes the manufacturers measurements are wrong, therefore stating that some panels could be 99 inches, some 100 inches, etc. She also made it a point to tell me that she's been in the business for 30+ years and that I was brand new to this, blaming me for the curtains coming out incorrectly. She finally told me that she would do the job without charging me, and told me "I never want to see you here in my business again." Angel made me sign a post-it agreeing to no re-do, but she refused to sign it. So I told her that I would wait for her to sign it since she wanted to make a formal arrangement, after 5 minutes she grabbed the post it and signed it. I asked if she would would write the pick up day & time on the post it and she said no, adding that she was very busy and couldn't guarantee a day & time. So I stood there and waited, and a young woman who was there (I'm guessing Angel's daughter) said "I'll write it on the stupid post it." I'm sad because I really like shopping in this Montebello shopping center and I hang out there all the time, but fortunately I have found another business close by. read more

If I can give this business 100 stars, I WOULD! I walked in early Friday morning when they opened with a wedding EMERGENCY! I received my groomsmen wedding attire the night before, the pants were a mess, way too tight on the waist and the thighs, (they had torn by the midsection upon trying them on) the length was also way too long. Angel the owner, and she truly is an ANGEL, was my saving grace! She was so calm, professional and very lovely, Angel was able to alter/fix/sew/stitch my pants and my brothers pants, THAT SAME DAY, IN LESS THAN AN HR AND A HALF!!! I've been coming to Angel for about 5 years for alterations. She has always done a great job. But this last time I was Very DIsappointed with her, her attitude, and the price. First she came at me with if I had an appointment for the alteration. WTF??? In all of the 5 years I've been coming here I Never was ask to make an appointment nor is there a sign anywhere in the store that says Alterations by Appointment Olny. Best dry cleaners ever! I went to a wedding and wore this beautiful retro satin dress that I unfortunately ruined by the end of the night. It had drink stains and was dirty at the bottom from being outdoors. Over all point was I had way too much fun and thought this dress would be unwearable again. But Angel fixed It! To top it off my dress had a million pleats which I had been told several times would probably disappear once dry cleaned but when I got it back it was perfect! Thank you soo much Angel and whoever else worked on it! I know it was not an easy job Also on another note, everyone who works there is super nice! It's very clean and pricing is very fair. Took my brand new $300 suit jacket to get steamed here and they must have pressed it and left a bunch of impressions. I can see the tags and all the creases from the inside pockets. Then on the back a bunch of circles. I was bringing it in to remove the wrinkles to wear for my dad's funeral services. I called them back and they said sometimes it's the fabric and also they do so many. She offered to allow me to bring it back so they can try and remove the impressions but honestly I'm afraid they will just make it worse. I really no longer trust them with my clothing. read more

I brought 4 wool dress pants to get them dry cleaned. when I got them back they had pressed an extra travelers crease in all 4 of them. I called and told them that this was unacceptable, and the lady on the phone told me to bring them back in as if it was no big deal. oh yeah, I'm totally cool with having to spend extra time getting to your shop to drop off pants and pick them up the next day when things should've just been done right the first time. perrrfect. I brought them back and she had the audacity to tell me that they were simply trying to fix the crooked original crease. even if that was the case, why the hell wouldn't you press out the original crease after you added an additional "straight" one? I said that they needed to just keep the original crease and take out the one that they added. she told me that "they would try their best." no, you're not going to try your best, you're going to fix it. I got the pants back the next day and there were still traces of the old crease in them. not worth my time pursuing anything further. read more

I did not have a positive experience here. I brought some hospital gowns to have Velcro sewn to the back where you close the gown and Angel rudely kept saying, "I know, I know" when I was describing exactly what I wanted so that there would be no issues. After I picked them up and got home, I was surprised to see how less than amateur the quality was. My mom was a seamstress for over 30 years and I know what it should look like but I was snipping away at stray threads. I had asked for the prickly side of the Velcro (the "hook" side) to be placed on the right and the fuzzy (the "loop" side) to be placed on the left (where the gowns close in the back.) She ended up putting them the opposite of what I asked. It wasn't the end of the world because at least the gowns closed, until I noticed that on one of them, the fuzzy side was sewn on both sides of the closure...meaning fuzzy + fuzzy does not close the gown. In addition to that they were not lined up...they were at least 1/2 inch crooked. That's like having 2 buttons on opposite sides, 1/2in higher on one side. I had to take them back next day and she immediately asked how it came out. I said "Not good." Angel was visibly hurt and went on to explain that the cost of the Velcro was more than the job itself, that she spent hours on it and that it broke several sewing needles on her machine so she made no money on the job. Then she said that I could have told her that she did a good job and to let go of small mistakes because as the customer, I don't see what goes on behind the scenes and that I should "appreciate the effort." She offered to repair it at no additional charge, however it is costing me time....which is why I brought the pieces in the first place - to have a professional do an adequate job. If I had wanted crooked placements of the Velcro, I would have asked my friend's 12 year old daughter to do it. I have a lot of empathy for her because I understand we are only human and it's not easy operating a business. However, when I go to a business for a service, I certainly expect the job to be done correctly. The burden should not be placed on the customer that the owner has to go buy the materials and that it took longer and more effort than expected. I expected an in-and-out transaction but it turned into multiple trips and an emotional owner desiring praise and affirmation and then taking it personally when I was not able to provide that for her. It was kind of bizarre. Angel, I am so sorry if I hurt your feelings by my comment. I hope you make up the loss on the next jobs. read more
