I tried the sausage slice and it was pretty good. The crust had a nice flavor, however, it was a bit doughy. So, I wouldn't call this pizza an apizza. It's definitely not New Haven style, it's more New York than anything. As for the sauce, it was good, no complaints there. The sausage was on point too; Overall, Angelina's pizza is a solid three star pizza that gets the job done correctly. That's a review. read more

Food was so delicious I'd recommend to try them out I had a grinder it was nice and toasty had a good amount of toppings where I could eat it and not sopping wet every wear. Owner was super friendly and happy to take my order! read more

First time visiting, drove 30 mins to try the food as I heard great things about them. Owner and his daughter (I believe) were very nice and pleasant. I would return again just for them. I tried the vegan BBQ chix pizza, Vegan Buffalo chix calzone and vegan cheesy bread and they were all great. Portions are large and everything tasted good. Definitely worth a visit. read more

I have been ordering pizza from here for years, recently I had an order delivered to my house in which a driver lied and said I didn't pay for my food. I tried to order a pizza few days later which is when I found out about what was going on, and I'm told I cannot place an order until I pay for the last order . I have a ring doorbell so of course I go back and try to get the footage from that day & send them where cash was exchanged with the driver. I have yet to hear back from the restaurant as far as what was going on. NEVER ORDERING AGAIN ! read more

I was given literal card board pizza. Was made days ago texture, stale and dried out . Will never order from them again.

I was thinking, "Oh, Look, another pizza place across from Hubbard Park in Meriden. Let's see, does that make 3rd, 4th pizza place there, lost count. Had no expectations as I walked in, a man was being very gracious to the cashier explaining the in's and outs of cashiering. My immediate thought was, "I really like the way he treats other people, if they have people like that working for them, this might work." (He was actually the owner, which adds even more kiddos to his work ethics.) Now, this was late afternoon, thinking the pizza was probably sitting in the trays all day and would taste awful, again expectation, not really high. I ordered 2 slices of pizza and a root beer. Preface to say, I make my own pizza, 000 flour, yeast, knead, let rest for 24 hours - yep, I am crazy about my pizza. Service was fast and very pleasant (hard to find these days), the pizza looked really fresh and good quality. Still not having expectations, I took one bite and truly tasted like the pizza I had in Rome, Italy. From the cheese, to the tomatoes, to the oregano, garlic, all of it was fresh, top quality. Ordered the fried pickles, excellent, not a mouth full of grease and flour. I would high recommend trying this place if you want really good pizza. I haven't been to all the pizzerias in Waterbury (yet) but of the few I have tried in the area, I like Angelina's best for now .. decent slices, good pies .. not too thick or thin - not wood or coal fired or a brick oven - just a plain big old flat deck pizza oven. a tomato sauce with a decent flavor, not too watery or pastey or sweet. cheese a little oily but not bad, stringy and chewy. It;s just a plain pizzeria in the same plaza with Sweet Maria's - which is good if you want to grab some nice cupcakes or cookies after your pizza. Parking lot here kinda sucks, but you don't come here for the parking you come for the pie (and the cakes next door), right? The real reason I went here at first was because it's called "Angelina's Apizza" .. reminds me of Wooster Street - but the pizza isn't really much like anything from New Haven. I just had a plain cheese pie last time - next time maybe a neopolitano (with grated cheese, sauce and spice) .. they do have a clam pie on the menu and someone told me the buffalo chicken pizza is very good here (not for me though).. read more

Last week on Saturday before Sunday Super Bowl!! We ordered 25 mild wings and a small pizza total of $50.13. We waited over an hour and a half for delivery (not a problem) when our order was delivered the wings were SO over cooked and dried out we couldn't even eat them!! Knowing the would be crazy on Super Bowl Sunday, I waited to call until Monday. I was very nice and spoke to the "manager " she said she would call the owner and get back to me(never did) I called her back and she told me owner said with our us next order he would give me 12 wings on a $50.00 order? I then called the owner on Wednesday who had NO idea of what I was talking about? He said he would give me a large pizza and 12 wings! He would write it down!! I called today only to have them tell me I was only getting 12 wings, they call the owner and call me back and now it's a medium cheese pizza so I say okay want sausage and bacon!! I would pay the extra!! I was speaking to my partner as this is going on and this "so called manager" says we will according to owner NOT be delivering to our home and hung up on me!! We have been customers for at least 15 years!! We always try to support small businesses and this how they treat long time customers? I am stunned and very disappointed in the way we were treated!! read more

I had been going here for awhile but the slices got more expensive and MUCH smaller. I really don't like how greasy it is either but it was just convenient. I complained two days later about the size of the slice I got and no one said a word. Also, they gave me dirty looks. Then they neglected to put a paper plate on top of my slice inside the bag. This is pretty good New York-style utility pizza place. You can smell the pizza when doing business at the USPS office next door. On this particular visit, I had a slice of the cheese, the tomato-basil/pesto, and the white chicken+broccoli (guess it's supposed to be cordon bleu?). The dough was nice and thin but chewy with just the correct proportion of toppings (not oversauced or overcheesed). I'm not generally a crust-eater, but this crust was pretty good - it's soft leading right up to the thick edge, then it has that denser toasted texture. Having lived in the deep south for the past two years, this was certainly a welcome treat to come home to. read more

Here's the thing about Angelinas; it's simple, cheap, and close-by me. But they also don't have consistently good pizza, as sometimes it's delicious and other times it's almost watery in texture. Plus, their delivery drivers are obviously always stoned. I don't think there's been too many occasions when something wasn't forgotten in my order and they had to grab it from the store and bring it back, usually soda. All in all, yes they're easy and cheap but not worth it anymore. Time to look for a new local pizza place! read more

I love Angelina's. They're fairly priced, it's always perfectly cooked, not too greasy, and they're very courteous. For example, my friend is highly allergic to tomatoes, and they will clean and sanitize all their equipment when we come in to eat, and make her a tomato free pizza.
