I absolutely loved not only my look, but I loved meeting them and spending time in their hands! They are beyond talented and exactly what I was searching for. I opted to have services at their location but they do offer on site services too, which is so convenient. I wanted to look like myself on my wedding day, just with a bit more glam. Danielle and Mackenzie knew exactly what to do. I would definitely got back for another occasion where I need some professional assistance.

Planning my wedding for 14 months, I continually pushed off booking hair and makeup artists and instead focused my time elsewhere - centerpieces, photography, linens, etc. There's not a shortage of projects to finish or vendors to book, right? Well, before I knew it, we were 30 days until Wedding Day and I was still without hair or makeup. We were at the point where my Mother-in-Law-to-be was actually booking trial appointments for me. Website after website I searched - every single vendor on the Knot, suggestions from family, friends and former brides, etc. Although I loved some of the work I saw, I didn't love enough of one artist's gallery to pull the trigger and book... until Stacey Frasca of Studio 28. Not only was her website informative and her gallery uber-impressive, but her 6 consecutive years of the Knot's "Best of Weddings" (It's now 7-years!) and 4 years of Wedding Wire's Bride/Couples Choice Awards could not be over-looked. If I needed reassurance my vision would come to life, this was certainly it. I contacted Stacey and when she replied with my date open, I was ecstatic. She was even able to offer a friend and colleague to do my hair! I met with both Stacey and Michelle DeCosta from Jesamondo Salon & Spa at Stacey's Wellesley Studio just 21-days before my wedding (cutting it close, huh?). Both ladies looked at the Pinterest pictures I brought, listened to my ideas, likes and dislikes and ultimately put together something more beautiful than the vision I had in my head. Once the veil was set in place and I looked all bridal, I booked them both on the spot. On my wedding day, both Stacey and Michelle arrived right on time (8am) to the hotel and quickly got to work on 4 bridesmaids, my mother-in-law, aunt and of course, me - the bride. Together, they worked seamlessly, keeping on their set schedule which allowed us to get to the ceremony on time. What I thought would be a stressful morning, wasn't. Stacey and Michelle were both able to keep the atmosphere relaxed and positive and fun. I told my girls I wanted their hair up, but the style was completely their choice. Their hair ranged from short and straight to very, very long and frizzy. Michelle definitely had her work cut out for her and she was SO on point! Every up-do was clean and neat and exactly the look I was going for. Most of my bridal party wears very little makeup and I was really worried about looking at my photos later and not being able to recognize anyone. Stacey was able to beautifully accent everyone's features and make us feel glamorous. The airbrush make-up was light and left our skin flawless all night long. Oh! And the artificial eyelashes definitely made our eyes pop perfectly. I can honestly say I've never felt more beautiful and everyone's confidence shined in both our pictures and video. Stacey and Michelle are a Bride's Beauty Dream Team. Thank you, ladies!

I've grown…read moreup from high school, through college, work, and now in graduate school, and I still go to Carol because that is just how much I trust her with my hair! I have a lot of hair, and it is thick and dark and can be difficult to understand how to style in a flattering way. I've gotten many cuts, several Japanese hair straightening treatments, a prom styling, and a few different colors over the years, and I have never been disappointed. Carol is, in a word, incredible. She will work with you to figure out what works best for you, your hair, and your lifestyle. 1) Cuts. I've had bangs, short hair, and long, layered hair all done here. Carol always double checks with you to see what you would prefer at every stage. My job requires me to tie my hair back, for example, so we always make sure my hair is left long enough to be neatly pulled back. 2) Treatments. Carol actually recommended the hair straightening treatment to me back in high school as I was having trouble handling my thick, wavy and frizzy hair at the time. Though the treatment took hours, I was left with beautifully sleek, long lasting hair. That was back in 2013. I have gone approximately once a year since then to have the treatment done, and it is worth every penny. My hair has become much more manageable (especially in the summer!), and Carol has been able to adjust the strength of the treatment to match how my hair texture has changed over time. 3) Coloring. I've had 3 different balayages and 1 solid color done here. Carol and I always discuss beforehand what is possible for my hair. As I mentioned, my hair is naturally very dark, almost a true black, and was usually grown out in my natural color when I went in for a coloring appointment. When I want to color my hair, I show Carol a few pictures and we talk about which ones may be edited and which ones would require a lot of time to lighten, process, and tone. On Carol's suggestion, we usually go for balayage since I'm usually not able to go in for touchups and need a style that grows out well. More than anything, Carol is very honest about how long it will take to process your hair, and is absolutely willing to spend time to work with you to make sure you love the result. To top it all off, both Carol and Lisa are warm, welcoming, and talkative, and so it is a real treat when I get to go see them for a few hours! Leaving with fantastic hair is the cherry on top. Safe to say, I'll continue to go to Vanessa Bridal for as long as I can!

I came in this morning for my hair cut and to color my hair. I showed Carol an online picture of a girl's hair and told her that's the color I want. The color is showed as picture 1. After 4 hours later, I got a golden yellow instead( the picture 2). The boss said" it is so pretty!" I doubt about it. I said" it is too yellow and that's not what the color I showed her this morning" Carol said " I think this color does not fit your profession I will redo your color this afternoon" Then the boss ask for 250 dollars for the hair cut and color service. I gave 10 dollars for tips and the boss said it is too little. "Usually we got 20 dollars or 30 dollars for tips." Then I paid total $270 for the hair cut plus coloring service and tips. She told me the hair cut price is $38 dollars and $212 is for the hair coloring service. Then I came back in the afternoon, Carol redo my hair twice in the afternoon and gave me a yellowish green or greenish yellow hair. (Picture 3) It is not the color I showed her! I showed her the color I want this morning and also this afternoon before she did anything. I paid $270 for my hair and what I got is not even close to what I showed her. If you can not do it, let me know in front. She tried to persuade me to let her color my hair another time. I refused because I already gave her a second chance and she failed. I don't what her to touch my hair anymore. I asked for my money back but they refused. They said we don't give money back. You can call the police. I called police and the officer said I should sue them on a small claim court for my money back. I will do that and I felt shamed for them. Poor service, greedy and bad attitude.

Marguerite did an awesome job listening to what I wanted, looking at a photo of a previous cut, and carefully trimming my hair to the desired length. I ended getting about 5 inches cut off and instead of cutting it all off at once, she cut it once and then asked me if it was the right length or if I wanted it shorter. Which is my favorite thing that hair stylists do, rather than cutting it all off and asking if it is too short. I'm so incredibly happy with my hair cut and to top it all off, the prices were super reasonable, as well. Thanks, Marguerite!

Not happy with how my highlights came out. I just wanted basic highlights on my dark blonde hair,…read morebeen getting them for many years, 2-3x a year. I had booked an appointment for a full foil. I was early and the stylist was late. She told me I didn't need a full foil, so we did a partial foil instead. Unfortunately it didn't come out well. First, the whole foiled section is much lighter than the back/bottom portion of my hair (so really I did need a full foil and should've pushed back on that?). I have never had such a stark contrast between the foiled and unfoiled portions... it looks pretty bad when my hair is up, and as a mom, that is basically all the time. Second, some of the highlights themselves are uneven, being super bright (almost white) closest to my roots in a few spots. Never had this happen before, either. I tried to schedule a correction, but they said I would have to pay to get the bottom foiled as that wouldn't count as a correction. Fair enough per the technical definition... but my hair just doesn't look good overall and that would be the only clear fix from my perspective, since you can't darken bleached hair. Oh well. That was a huge expense. I definitely will not return. Haircut was fine! Though they did also blow it out some after I specifically said I didn't want it (for my schedule and for sensory reasons).
