As a nurse, I notice that his physical assessment is steps above what most family doctors do. And Dr. Wagman actually listens! He is old-world thorough without the arrogant know-it-all-ness that typifies that era of medicine. He's not pretentious, but he does his job simply and gently and makes the patient feel like he has all the time in the world for them (even when the office is totally slammed). There is also a nurse practitioner at this location. I have not had the pleasure of meeting her but I hear she is nice.

I have other complaints, but this is the one that is most important. It was a dereliction of her duty, unethical, and cruel. Clearly a malpractice case. However, she covered herself on paper. A lot of times doctors rush in and out and you feel like they listened to you. She's listening and she's taking it all in and she cares deeply. I would say I highly recommend her, but it's a catch-22. With writing this review I think she's wonderful, but at the same time I like being able to get my appointments with her. Also, my 11-year-old daughter sees her and just loves her. We followed her from Midlothian because neither one of us wanted to find a different doctor. She's just so great.

I was hoping the manager of the facility in mansfield would call me back again how she said she would, so we could resolve this issue. (But after the first call i have not heard back. )Simply because "the doctor" says they performed something doesn't make it true. There was no thorough investigation done. This billing issue was dismissed way too quickly. Anyone can be "nice" and willing to listen, but there actions after is what pushed me to write this review and make others aware. 1. Appointment was made for a first visit that they said was mandatory to establish a relationship. When we arrived to apt. We specifically stated to several employees before being called to the back no physical exam was going to be done. Weight was taken, lungs were heard, blood was drawn. Doctor Katherine advised to schedule physical soon on the next visit. Before leaving the office they told me doctor katherine had changed the visit code and billed for yearly physical. Which they also looked confused as to why. No one had answers. I had to wait till manager called later that day. I told the manager We were told several times by several employees it was just a first visit to establish relationship. And $10 copay was charged, manager did refund after I first spoke with her. But the $10 is not what bothered me it was the doctors actions. All I wanted was for them to code the billing correctly or actually perform a thorough physical exam and any professional that cares would. But instead was told that the doctor may not be a good fit for us. And that she was attesting she did perform it. So they couldn't do anything about it. After talking more with manager, she said she had to talk to katherine again and would call me back the next day. I waited until about 1pm and called them since i had not recieved a call. And was told manager was in a meeting. She advised the employee assisting me to read off the notes. I didnt think that was professional. The employee said she would have manager call me back. I was expecting a solution of either billing code correction or a thorough physical exam performed, not the bare minimum. Which just really makes me sad. In person the doctor seems great it's the behind the scenes actions like billing that I don't understand how a doctor can take advantage of patients like that. If what she did was a physical she definitely did the bare minimum required to get away with coding the visit as a physical. So please review your bills, it's something that most of us don't normally do and just pay. Or we don't look because it's covered by insurance, without realizing our insurance is paying for things we didn't even have done.

They need to remember to save that for when you don't have patients in the waiting room that can hear you :/. Now Dr Wood herself is also a very nice woman however I can agree with the other reviewer in saying that she doesn't introduce herself. This was my first time meeting her and I had to read her white coat just to make sure she was MY doctor. I just went in for a routine physical so the encounter that i had with her was pretty brief. She's knowledgeable and gave me the good/typical advice any other physician would give (i.e cut down on bad/up the good, exercise more blah blah lol). As far as personality is concerned, Dr Woods' demeanor was very blasé yet affable. If you're looking for a outgoing, charismatic physician that's gonna talk to you and "seemingly" be interested in your life/happiness/future then she's not it. I am left with no one to renew my Rx although the pharmacy has been trying for 30 days and no word. Wasted my time to drive by the office and no one is there either and nothing posted. I insisted but later found out that they ignored me when filling out the intake paperwork. This resulted in a several months of calls to their billing department to get them to bill correctly instead of to my secondary insurance. I ended up paying for some of testing because they never got the coding right on it. Also, with no discussion of why or dosage or alternatives, I found that two meds were prescribed for me on the basis of my blood tests. They also made a referal to a cardiologist. That visit resulted in one medication dosage being cut to a correct amount and the other cancelled. Not going back to Healthcare Associates ever!!!
