Losing my dog of 16 1/2 years was one of the hardest things I've ever gone through. He wasn't just a pet--he was family, my best friend, and my constant companion. He went everywhere with me. He passed away on a Sunday afternoon, and when I called Angel Oaks Pet Crematory, I was honestly surprised someone answered. I could barely speak through the tears, but from the very first moment, they were incredibly kind, patient, and compassionate. They immediately put me at ease during one of the most difficult moments of my life. When my wife and I brought him in, the level of respect, care, and understanding they showed was truly remarkable. You can tell they genuinely care. I was told the urn I selected might take 7-10 days, which I completely understood--but just two days later, they called to say everything was ready. The urn itself is absolutely beautiful. I can't say enough good things about Angel Oaks. If you've lost a beloved pet, I highly recommend them. They treated my dog--and us--with the dignity and compassion we needed. I'm truly grateful. read more

I cannot recommend this business based on my experience. I want to begin by acknowledging that the owner was professional and respectful throughout this situation. Unfortunately, my overall experience was negatively impacted by the handling of my case by the front desk staff. After my dog passed away, I was told I needed to complete a JotForm before the cremation process could begin. I informed the receptionist multiple times that I had never received the form and asked for it to be resent. During my first call, I was placed on hold for approximately 16 minutes and was assured it would be sent. By the following day, I still had not received it, so I called again. Rather than addressing the issue, the receptionist was dismissive, repeatedly interrupted me, and was unwilling to listen as I tried to explain that I had never received the form. After more than a week with no updates or communication regarding my dog's remains, I was informed that the cremation would no longer be performed and that I would need to retrieve my dog's body instead. As a grieving pet owner, I found this deeply distressing. After my dog's body had been in their care for over a week, I was faced with the possibility of having to identify and transport her remains myself. This is an experience no family should have to endure, particularly when the delay resulted from a communication breakdown outside of their control. Compassion, clear communication, and professionalism are especially important when families are coping with the loss of a beloved pet. While I appreciate the owner's professionalism, the lack of communication and the way this situation was handled by the front desk left me disappointed and added unnecessary emotional distress during an already difficult time. read more

Our cat passed away around 4 p.m., and we had no idea what to do next. We didn't feel like doing anything, but since it was a holiday, we started searching because we weren't sure if any places were open or how to keep him cool. I came across this place and saw so many great reviews, so we called. They were very kind on the phone, and we decided to bring him in that same day. We selected a private plan with viewing. There was a large, peaceful waiting room, and we were able to see our cat and say goodbye until he went into the furnace. The staff were very gentle and professional. We were truly fortunate to find this place by chance. We ordered some memorial items as well. The paw and nose prints are so cute, and the fur keepsake in the jar is lovely. We really appreciate everything they did. read more

From the moment we made that first extremely difficult call, we found Angel Oaks to be extremely professional, caring, and compassionate. Often times these are hard qualities to find within one business. We had an in-home euthanasia for our dear Buddy, Dr. Redden and John were very compassionate and caring. Dr. Redden explained kindly the process and handled our boy with respect and care. Was a tough decision to make, but I would not hesitate to recommend Angel Oaks should you ever need their services. This decision, should you have to make it, is the final act of love to ease the suffering of your friend and companion and it was a tad easier because of Angel Oaks. read more

They were the best! Their staff was loving, caring. We brought Shady in with a small crochet blanket that was her cuddle on the sofa. They allowed her to take it with her...I couldn't think she'd be cold & they just got that. I'm grateful for their care. The Melnikoff's read more

Saying goodbye to our beloved fur baby, Jay-Kee, was one of the hardest things we've ever had to do, and Angel Oaks met us in that moment with so much kindness and compassion. They didn't treat this like just a service, they treated us like family. Every interaction was gentle, patient, and filled with genuine care. They were accessible, answered our questions with empathy, and helped carry us through an incredibly painful time with grace. Our baby passed at 3:00am and they were able to take him in by 7:00am. We received our baby back the next day. We will forever be grateful for the love and respect they showed us and our sweet Jay-Kee and for helping us honor him with dignity. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Angel Oaks. read more

With a heavy heart, I am compelled to write this review. I recently received the in home services provided by Angel Oaks. I am writing this review because when this service is needed, nobody is in the best state of mind and I hope others will find this helpful. I called their offices to schedule and the person answering the phones was extremely professional and caring. Making that phone call was hard enough and they were very nice. They sent a link to fill out and make the payment, which was straightforward and simple. Dr. Redden and Brandon arrived punctually and performed the procedure with utmost compassion and professionalism. read more

I had the pick-up option for my girl. I didn't have the heart to give her her last ride in my truck. They were here just a little before the scheduled time. The gentleman that came to get her was super sweet about our loss and getting her. We got updates about her arriving at the facility and once she was ready. I do wish I had an update on when she started THE process tho. Once she was ready I hauled ass to get her and bring her back home. Rest in heaven baby girl. We miss you so much! read more

Our Wiggle Will passed away on a Sunday morning. I found Angel Oaks was open on Sundays. I called and talked immediately to a real person - no recordings. They were helpful, kind, and informed me of services and procedure. We took William in later that day and the service was beyond any expectations we had. They are caring, compassionate, and truly treated our William with such care. I am so thankful I found Angel Oaks. They really are angels helping families at a very difficult time. read more

I am grateful we have Angel Oaks in the area. I've had many dogs over the years, some have passed naturally in their sleep and others were with euthanasia due to their progressed conditions. All the times we've been able to arrange their cremation at the Vet office. Yesterday, my oldest girl reached the time when she was ready to go. Marilyn was 13, she was a joy to have around. Despite her conditions, she was still going. It was comforting to have a place to take her. I'm only interacted with John and he was quick to provide all the information I needed. My husband's experience was positive while at the facility. I appreciate they caught my mistake and corrected my entries to reflect I wanted her ashes back. I am sure it's not an easy business, but thank you for seeing a need and providing a solution. Highly recommend this business. read more

This place is truly a gem. The people working here are very welcoming and understanding. My cat of 16 years passed away, and I immediately had no idea what to do or where to take her. Luckily I came across this place, they had so many good reviews so I decided to come here. Best decision I could ever make, I decided to get her cremated that same day. They have these beautiful memories you can select from to take home with you, which I am forever grateful for! Upon these, was a ink print of her paws, a clay stone with paw prints with her name on it, her cremation certificate and a glass heart vase filled with her beautiful fur and ofcourse her wooden box filled with her ashes I am so grateful for this place, they respect all the time you need in your last moments with your fur baby. read more

Today we had to say goodbye to our 12 year old Labrador who has had been diagnosed with bone cancer and lost the use of her back legs. I have been emotionally preparing for this for some time so I remember when I scheduled the appointment being compartmentalized enough to get this appointment scheduled. I remember speaking to the scheduler who should've been my first red flag. There was zero empathy in her voice very cut and dry which was fine at the moment because I wanted to get this scheduled and save my tears for after the call. I requested an 11:30 appointment time. She said that was fine but it might be a little earlier and asked if I was fine with that. I imagined a little earlier it would be 15-30 min tops not an hour and a half before. I woke up early with her and we sat in the yard while I drank my coffee next to her and planned to take her to her favorite pond in a wagon then run by a burger place on the way home. We had everything loaded up ready to go and I get a knock on the door and see Dr Redden has arrived already at 10am. I opened the door and said "hey! I'm sorry you're really early we were just going to run her to a park really quick and get her a burger. She then said they had scheduled me for 10 am they don't schedule 11:30 am appointments. It would be 10 or 12. She said they would either have to do now or come back tomorrow. We had already emotionally prepared our kids and ourselves for today though and I didn't want her to have to endure another night of pain. So I asked her if she could check her phone and double check she had the right time. She went to her car and said yes that was the time. I didn't know where my phone was at the time so I took her word for it that I made a mistake on my part. As soon as she left I found my phone where they had sent me an email and saw that I did in fact make an 11:30. I called the vet clinic to ask what happened I was super confused on the gaslighting. They passed me to John and he said I was confused they only book manually and wouldn't have ever schedule me at 11:30 he said they had the whole thing on voice record. I asked him why I had an email that said 11:30 and I guess that's the time I supposedly scheduled it but the text on my side confirm I schedule at around 9am. He does start getting defensive and raising his voice and talking faster when his receptionist text my phone accidentally instead of his saying that I did schedule an 11:30 but it's not what we discussed. At that point I was infuriated. This is already a terrible day and on top of that they were making me feel like I was the one that was at fault. Just beware before you call this place i wish now I just stuck with our original vet who's been doing this for over 30 years and still had the empathy when she delivered our dogs diagnosis. You will not receive that from John or the scheduler or Dr. redden. read more

Kind and compassionate. We came here after my Yorkie passed in October 2024. Loved their service. They were easy to communicate with.

I can't thank this place enough. Our cat passed away and my husband and I were absolutely shattered. It happened in the early evening. After a couple of hours of hysteria, we realized we had to make arrangements and burying our beloved in the backyard was not an option we wanted to entertain. A google search led me to a few different places. This place was by far the furthest, but open until 10:00 on a Tuesday night. Their online reservation system was very simple. It still felt strange to show up at 9:30 at night, so I called ahead and they confirmed that they would indeed be there. Everyone here was incredibly respectful and empathetic to our devastation. The process was very simple. Nobody tried to upsell us. They just let us grieve and emailed us when it was time to go pick him up (it was another appointment). I never wish this process on anyone. However, I would absolutely recommend this place if you must find somewhere to cremate your pet. They were incredibly kind and understanding. If I ever have to do this again, I'd only come back here. Here is a picture of the box with our pet's, Georgie, ashes and paw print. So beautiful. read more

I 1,000% do not take the time to do reviews. I 1,000% will never let a pet of my family's be cremated anywhere else in any situation. My wife and I lost our first cat; KK that we adopted when I picked her up on a bike ride many years ago; on a Sunday morning at 10 am recently. By 12:30......; our appointment was 12 but Miss KK and I took a tour of our old stomping grounds where we first met on that bike ride all those years ago and the home we lived in for the majority of her (our) lives; we arrived and I met with a lovely woman. I say met with a lovely woman but we weren't ready to go inside when we got there; KK and I; but the lady checked on us in the parking lot and said to take our time and come in when ready. All this while customers appear to be dropping off and most definitely and picking up their remains. That's customer service! Sadly I didn't catch her name but we reminisced about KK as well as discussed her father's love of John Wayne and life in general. This lady was an angel at a sad moment. I recommended she watch The Shootist with her dad. While there I inquired on whether the indented paw print or the printed paw print would be better for tattoo purposes and was expertly instructed that the printed paw was best. I'll tell you, I got the indented paw print, the printed paw print AND the beautiful fur memorial glass heart container. Having cremated another 2 beloved pets within the past few years at the vet due to terminal illness, next time we will be taking them here ourselves for cremation whether they need medical assistance at the end or pass peacefully. You pay the same cost and end up with 3X the mementos of your 4 legged friend. They may do other pets (less than 4 legs....), I don't know! I was told that in 2 days and I'd get an email. THE NEXT DAY I was contacted at a minimum by phone and email but I think text as well that our sweetheart was ready to come home. Even the packaging was perfect. While I only briefly met with the pick up lady she was wonderful as well. Quickly giving me my package and respectfully sending me on my way. Trust me. You are making a mistake not going here. Thank you so much to the staff of Angel Oaks. My wife and I really appreciate your help during such a sad time for our family and appreciate both the dignity given to the animals AND the fair price vs the vet. Thanks, Keenan read more

This service was amazing when we needed to put our oldest dog down. Excellent communication and sincere empathy during a very tough time.

I want to thank John for all his help. I had my cat for almost 14 years. I saw his momma give birth and leave him. I picked him up and he was everything to me. He was sick in August 2023. The vet got him better but he never bounced back. March 2024 he was so sick he would not eat nor drink water. I called Angel Oaks and spoke with John. He said they were booked but gave the the number of Dr. Reed. She came to my house the next day and put him to sleep. She took him to Angel Oaks. After he was cremated they brought him to my house. He is in a beautiful box with his name on it. They also gave me a sweet card that meant a lot to me. read more

Reasonably priced. Efficient as well. Sometimes you require both when dealing with a loss.

Lost my Chyna recently. She was about to have her babies but I guess it was too much for her. My son found her on the side of the freeway in a box one night on his way home from Conroe. She was wrapped in a blanket in the box. He brought her home and we took care of her the best we could. We got her checked out and all her shots. Had her for a little over 7 years. She went with me everywhere. She loved car rides. Every time I got dressed, she got up and went to the door to wait for me. Always waiting for me when I got home. Anyway, when she passed I asked around and was referred to a couple of places. Even though Angel Oaks was far away they were very reasonable and explained everything that their service included. Even though drop off/pick up are during certain hours, someone was there 24 hours a day to provide assistance and information. We dropped Chyna off on Sunday and they called and said that she could be picked up on Tuesday. Short time turn around. Very appreciative and helpful. She is home with me and always will be. Thank you Angel Oaks. read more

Very professional, tasteful, and kind at a very sad time. I waited five months to open the box with my cat's remains fearing an inked footprint or lock of fur that would open the wounds again, but thankfully only her cremains and an envelope were in the box. The envelope had a note is sympathy and a certificate of cremation with the date of cremation, her name, and a beautiful quote that offered me some comfort. I've spread her remains, but will keep her cremation certificate with the wonderful quote.
