I was shipping an aquarium from Alabama to Florida and needed manpower here to get the aquarium off…read morethe moving truck. Unfortunately, my very disorganized mover from Alabama made it impossible for me to use Doug's. I am writing this review because of Doug's flexibility, professionalism and wonderful communication. In the run up to the move, I contacted Doug's to book a team to get the tank off the truck. I was immediately contacted by Doug's with a confirmation of availability and the price. I was even given a cell phone to keep in touch on delivery day. As my Alabama mover got further and further behind schedule, I kept Doug's in the loop and they were able to adjust their team and promised me availability Until my Alabama mover made it impossible for Doug's to hold the team. The delivery window went from 2 to 8 to 12 hours late. Consequently, while I was unable to use Doug's, I would have no hesitation in contacting Doug's should the need ever arise again. The constant communication and adjustment to accommodate my disorganized Alabama mover was incredible. I hope I have the opportunity to use Doug's in the future.

How DARE I ask such a thing, he roared! He was ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGED! I just wanted a couple of coverage details, but it was hard to talk over his screaming at me. Then he said he is cancelling our moving appt tomorrow morning, "Good luck!" Just, WOW. Insane. We are selling our home and must be out this week. Moving is already stressful - DO NOT PUT YOUR TRUST in these guys and risk the crazy stress of not getting out in time. If this is what he's like when you ask for coverage info, imagine trying to get him to pay for something they break.

HAPPY MOVERS Who has not faced the task of moving from one…read morehousehold location to another? We find it hard to believe how much stuff we accumulate and that we have to haul to a new location. I was concerned with the thought of movers coming to touch and pack our stuff. That's where Happy Helpers Movers Company came to the rescue. Located at 1343 Main Street #502, Sarasota, Florida 34236, they come with hundreds of glowing customer comments about their movers and the company overall. My first indication that I made the right choice was when Tony and Tamir arrived to move my belongings. They were straight up, great guys.. friendly, polite and informative. After observing how carefully and effectively they handled our heavy items and fragile antiques, I felt confident enough to leave the house and have them continue without me. I had requested three movers due to needing as many to move my heavy, bulky and also, fragile items when I first moved in. Tony and Tamir amazed us with their super human strength in moving all items with a coordinated effort. They were organized, courteous and efficient. Truly, I can't express what confidence they gave me with their professionalism and capability. They were top notch from beginning to end. And, they were quick. No dilly dallying at all. They knew what they were doing, so that something I thought would require my supervision, ended up being a hand off process the whole way through. They're a credit to the company, and I wouldn't think twice about calling Happy Movers again. I plan to call them when we finalize the last few items to be moved upon our departure to our new home

The girl who I booked with steered me away from the additional insurance. She said of course if we break your flatscreen we would never only pay .60 cents per pound. They damaged 2 entryway exterior doors and multiple areas in the stairway. They didn't finish putting together one of the bedroom sets. Their settlement offer was $500 but wanted me to sign a non-disclosure that I could not post any reviews! It threatens to seek $1000 per negative review! Disgusting and dishonest scammers!
