Even an experienced Boulder county realtor like the formidable Paul Dart at RE/MAX can't know all these things. Paul advised hiring Gina. I was reluctant, but did so, and she found things that helped us in negotating with the seller, and also will help us when it comes time to sell. We were able to proactively fix many things. OK - I can hear you saying "I'm experienced, and know what I'm doing". If you've had to engage a certified archaeologist, I'd say yeah, you're experienced. If not, you better hire Gina. And the icing on the cake? She found the original land grant from 1885 given by Grover Cleveland!

I hired David to draft a premarital agreement and found the experience deeply disappointing and…read moreshockingly unprofessional. From our first conversations, he approached me with a paternalistic, combative tone -- less interested in helping me meet my goals than in enforcing a rigid "process" on his terms. He repeatedly implied I didn't understand what I was asking for, openly criticized me for discussing the agreement with my fiancée, and claimed that no competent attorney would agree to our timeline. That turned out to be completely untrue. Both my fiancée's attorney and the attorney I ultimately hired were not only comfortable with the timeline, but also took a far more collaborative and respectful approach -- encouraging open dialogue about our shared goals. David ultimately quit -- but not before sending a series of passive-aggressive emails and repeatedly undermining my judgment. If you're looking for a lawyer who listens, collaborates, and treats you like an adult, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I'm a retired attorney and not only was there no personalization and limited communication, but the bill for the service arrived just a week after my initial meeting, BEFORE I had received any legal documents. I have never seen this before and the attorney did not mention that this firm has this billing practice. The amount at issue was just $250 and I paid this before representation ended, but the final email was very abrupt. I will never refer clients to this firm again.

I was billed over $60k, probate hasn't been finished, was demanding more money, the attorney lost money for the estate and I'm at risk of losing the family home with my children to creditors as the estate was drained to attorneys fees and I cannot afford another attorney. Trust me, just because someone can put "Esq." after their name doesn't mean they're any good. Or able to win your case. Or even that they're smart. Jessica Miller, however, is as good as it gets. I have used Ms. Miller to manage and resolve a contentious real estate matter (landlord/tenant) and she consistently dominates and outsmarts opposing counsel, keeping them scrambling and on the defensive. It would be an understatement to say I feel confident and secure having her represent me. I'm downright grateful. While she may or may not charge more per hour than other lawyers in town, she is unquestionably worth every penny. Remember, you get what you pay for, and when dealing with legal issues that have you backed against a wall, you do not want cheap representation. You want to win. Jessica Miller has what it takes to win. I intend to use Ms. Miller's law firm in the future to draft landlord/tenant lease agreements and for other applicable matters. If these are the types of issues with which you need assistance, I cannot urge you enough to contact her office. You will be glad you did. UPDATE: LAWSUIT OVER! I was unfairly sued and did not have to pay a DIME to the opposing party. THANKS JESSICA!

Some attorneys will talk down to you and make you feel stupid just because your knowledge of how the courts and laws work are not as good as theirs. She never does this and helps you understand what you are facing and why. That is really nice when you understand what is happening when in front of the judge because I know it can be intimidating.
