Definitely cool and artsy statement pieces to have in your wardrobe. I find their oversized sweatshirts to be very cozy, flattering, and downright adorable. Service is always top notch and the store is clean and well organized. Instead of understanding that I was simply discussing my options with my friend, the employee accused me of price comparing because the other customer was interested in the same bikini. I was not speaking to or interacting with the other customer, nor was I trying to interfere with her purchase in any way. I was simply having a private conversation with my friend and deciding whether I wanted to buy the item. I found the way the situation was handled unnecessary and uncomfortable. Customers should be able to have a private conversation while shopping without being accused of something based on an assumption.

I haven't bought myself a new pair of jeans in a very long time because I hate shopping. Why? Because it's a painful process where I don't know which stores to go to. Combine that altogether and jean shopping feels DAUNTING. But lo and behold, this was the best denim buying experience ever. This was my first time visiting That Jean Shop so I didn't know what to expect. Once you get situated inside the store (it's literally just you and Neta the owner), the magic begins. There are two rooms; I think one room has all the women's jeans and the other has all the men's jeans. There are these long, huge curtains that cover up a little nook - it's the changing room. Neta knew immediately what size I was by just looking at my figure. We both picked out different washes and styles of jeans I could try on. There were many different styles that I would never have picked out that I got to try on and LOVED. I was so surprised! Who would've thought I would actually like bell bottom cropped jeans? :) My petite ladies, if you have trouble finding good jeans in your size, come here as well. I'm 5' 2" and have always had trouble finding good jeans that aren't a bajillion inches longer than my ankles. All the jeans I tried on fit me like a glove. I won't need to get them personally tailored/hemmed. The whole process took about an hour; not once did Neta rush or pressure me to purchase something. She was so sweet, funny, and personable. And boy, she's knowledgeable about her denim. Her prices are also reasonable and she doesn't charge tax if you pay cash. Thank you again, Neta! Hope to visit again soon. *I do recommend that you call and make an appointment before you visit the store. It's not your traditional store where it stays open from 10am to 7pm. Neta is very flexible; I called the day of to make an appointment, and she booked me in to meet her an hour later. There is no private parking lot to park your car, but there is the Ralph's across the street and residential street parking around the corner.

What I like about Good American, is they're committed to inclusivity and including all sizes from XS to 5X Plus, 00 to 32 Plus - that's dope. All sizes and shapes accepted at Good American, with the average pair of jeans is $150. They do have sales though and if you sign up for their email list - $50 off your first pair! They have more than jeans, too! Swimsuits, jumpsuits, bodysuits, tops, shorts, sweats and shoes are all found here and on their site. They are also B Corp Certified which as consumers, we should appreciate such commitment to the world. Definitely worth a pop in if on the top floor near the food court at Century City.
